I downloaded this app just so I could post my same Google review because she is THAT amazing and more people should know this. I hired Soraya two times (2021 and 2026) in an unbundled capacity to appear at my child custody case, do the exhibit appendix, and create the order. She remembered me and my case from 2021 which made me feel really good. She listened and asked a lot of questions during our consultation while also providing me with realistic feedback. I rehired her again in 2026 because at my first case she left a really good impression and did what she could with what she had. No fault of her own. I distinctly remember my judge telling me that I hired the best child custody lawyer in the city. She knows her stuff and isn't afraid to speak up for you. She has a strong personality and it is what got me everything I wanted in my 2026 case. I am very grateful to Soraya for everything. If you're wondering if you should have her has your lawyer, she will make you feel like a family member and fight for you and your child/children tooth and nail because she genuinely cares about her clients best possible outcome. She will tell you hard truths and won't sugar coat anything. Worth every penny. Remember, not now doesn't mean not ever. Patience is key and it paid off. Communication has to get better, when you pay for the services they treat you like crap and they don't help you as you think they are going to help. I Hired this lawyer and first if she wouldn't even let me talk whenever I would try to explain something. She told me to send her proof of texts when I sent them she said she wasn't gonna read all that. On my second court date didn't show up because she had another case she had to attend. When ever I would contact her through email she would no respond and when she did she responded in such a rude way. I do not recommend this lawyer if you are desperate and need a lawyer there for you , this is not the place they will keep charging you for everything. Make sure you make all the little question you have before you pay even if you think is a dumb question do it like pricing on texting or phone call or email, if Saturday and Sunday is in the contract or if you have to pay more or if you have to pay every time there's court for her to be present ask all the questions you can and make sure you read the contract. read more

I met her at Ask-A-Lawyer and I knew as soon as she took my notepaper from me, cut me off , and started writing/telling me exactly what to do/paperwork to file, that she was who I needed for my divorce against my controlling, narcissistic ex-spouse. I knew I couldn't have a 'nice' attorney with him...And although she's hard up, she also has the biggest heart for the people she is giving legal counsel to. When I met her in her office at a later date expecting to pay her for services, she said I don't want your money(because she knew the financial situation my ex left me in), and she still gave me honest legal advise and counsel, as if it were a free consultation. Ms Veiga is not only good at her job, she's the BEST. My ex-husband went through 2 attorneys while Ms Veiga stood by me. His 1st attorney couldn't fill out court papers correctly & Ms Veiga ended up doing it so the Judge wouldn't throw it out. And when it was time for our 1st court date his attorney didn't show up & Ms Veiga did all the talking to the Judge. His 2nd attorney was worse we couldn't ever get in touch with her at the office & when Ms Veiga would leave messages to get back with her for this matter is important, she wouldn't call or email for 3-4 days later and seemed misinformed as to what was happening. She was rude to my ex-husband, which would have made me happy but really pissed me off. I dont like seeing anyone being mistreated by someone their to trust. She ended up quitting on my Ex-husband.
