The dentist was nice and explained everything to me in detail about payment, however he isnt the greatest when it comes to his professtional status to dential work being done. He was suppsoe to do one of my teeth the mold tooth all the way in the back. I have had problems eith the tooth and we were trying to save the tooth instead of taking it out. In the beginnging he did say he can save the tooth. However, when he started the procedure he felt that he wasnt able to save the topth, simply because i was telling him what to do. How to numb me, because he only numbed the central nerve, which wasnt numbing the tooth it was only numbing the surrounding area of the tooth. As, soon as he put the drill next to my tooth, i still felt the pain and refused the process, until he numbed not only the central nerve of the behind the tooth but also around it and on it. So instead he said i cant do it, because i telling him how to numb the area. So after going to another dentist - and telling him a story, they said it is typical of him to that, because he is the kind that doesnt like when people tell him what to do, espically patients. If he knew that he might be able to do it, he should of never said that he can do it. After that he is blaming me and terminated me as a patient. Doesnt matter , just wanted other people to know about him.

Dr Weitz not only removed the screw from my jaw bone, he was able to put in a new screw for the new implant that I was in need of. All in the same day. What a relief that was for me. She calmed me down, answered all my questions, and was extremely knowledgeable as she has been with Dr. Hasday for 30 plus years. Dr. Hasday who is himself an Ivy Leager (I saw on his diploma) is incredibly intelligent, caring, TALENTED, and quick. Believe me, this is the man you want working on your mouth. He is very easy to talk with, and makes that all important human connection that is rare with Dr's today in my opinion. It is very very rare you find a Dr. who has both amazing skill, and bedside manner. I had a failed root canal, one of the roots was cracked, and an infection. Dr. Hasday extracted the tooth, and placed an implant. I felt no pain. He even gives a good needle (as you need to be numbed with all dental work). I learned of Dr. Hasday from my dentist and friend Dr. Funk who recommended my wife have an implant the previous year. She had hers done in Dr. Hasday's Massapequa office with fantastic results. I had mine done in his Rockville Centre Office Dental Implants & Periodontology of Rockville Centre. The worst part of this experience for me was the night before as I did not know what to expect, even though I had taken my wife for her procedure a year earlier. I am writing this review 26 hours after the procedure, and am already feeling fantastic. I had some minor throbbing afterwards, which an Advil took care of. That was it. *** Also Dr. Hasday will get back to you with any questions or concerns promptly. He is the complete package, which is why it was easy to give Dr. Hasday a 5 star review. Basically a good dentist and salesman. No problems here. The problem, and it is a big one for me, is his business practices. He quoted a price for his services and then, without any mention exacted significantly more for a "consultation" after the work was done. In this case, tripling the price. Specifically, I visited his office for a cleaning and imaging and was quoted a $ 225 fee. While I was there I asked about tooth pain. He looked at adjacent teeth, never mentioning charges. Upon leaving, I was billed $610 for "Consultation". Some may feel this is fair. No discussion permitted; just my problem. You be the judge. Imaging, which was included with the cleaning must be read by a doctor. So a cleaning must include some consultation. No explanation offered. Just pay up. If a patient feels so bamboozled, eh - robbed - that he is posting in every Internet forum and telling every Rockville Centre resident he knows, Dr. Hasday has failed him. Dr. Hasday might review his billing practices. An otherwise fine practitioner should not be leaving his patients feeling they were dealing with a lier and were ripped off.
