Several years ago I went for an ortho consult to Dr. Adam Goodman. ANother dentist you should stay away from. I needed a filling and he told me to go to Dr. Sirota. I called prior and said I was in p ain and needed an immediate filling. I was told to come in the next day, and they would immediately take care of the cavity. Dr. Goodman called him in the meantime supposedly to make sure everything went well. When I got there, I was told to prepay prior to seeing the dentist. The price was approx. $250. When I went in , he asked me if I had $50,000. I was in shock. He kept asking me if I had $50,000 and if I would give him $50,000 and he would cap all my teeth. He told me not to do ortho but cap all of my teeth. I had a fight with him and put him in his place. I asked him to xray the tooth that was bothering me and see what was wrong. He just laughed and refused to do anything. I walked out in disgust and furious that I spent that money for a 10 minute consultation on being harassed for $50,000 to cap all my teeth, which he said were in remarkably good condition. I, then, call Dr. Goodman to complain, and he said I should listen to him. I replied why don't you cap all your teeth. I never bothered with either one. A few weeks ago, I received a call from Dr. sirota. I had forgotten his name. They asked me to come in for my 6 month checkup. I found out that Sirota is desperate for patients. Good for him. He's a real ripoff. And I'm glad both Goodman who's giving free consults now, and Sirota are both in trouble because they are phonies just trying to make money off of people. Stay away from both these doctors

1. Dr. Lesser is on my dental insurance plan. I came to him for a root canal and crown. Crown…read moreoriginally not approved. He said they would never approve me for crown. I had to do my own appeal. Upon receiving approval for a porcelain crown with metal insert, he then said he would give me upgrade and charged me double. I called the insurance company regarding the charge of $250. He told the insurance company that I requested an upgrade. I did not. He offered and then charged me double. They said they approved crown with metal and they paid him already. I was not to pay more than $125 copayment. After I filed grievance he refund me half. 2. We discussed implants and he gave me a price of 18k. He said if I paid in advance I would save a couple of thousand dollars. Pressured me to take out loan. Company called Sunlit approved 6k. Not knowing how he operated, I decided to go forward at that time. Each time I went to his office, he pressured me to request more money. They approved 2200 more. 3. The crown that he gave me was not a match to any tooth in my mouth. Crown was an abomination. Looked like it belonged in someone else's mouth. Was all porcelain. Not what I paid for. When he tried to pry it into my mouth he proceeded to chip and damage my adjacent crown. I asked him make another crown and the tooth was identical to the mismatched tooth he did before and he could not fix the crown that he damaged. At this point I have to find another dentist to replace the crown he made and the damaged crown. My insurance company will not pay for 2 additional crown. Now I've lost confidence in his abilities and his approach to his shoddy work. 4. I asked who would do the implants and he told me the Periodontist taught implants at NYU. I felt a little more at ease. Turns out that Periodontist no longer works with him and the new dentist is Alan Pernikoff who happens to be his son-in-law. Dr. Pernikoff does not teach implant surgery at NYU. So in essence he lied to me. 5. I did not make an appointment for implants. Needed to digest all this information. 6. After careful consideration, I told him that I decided not to go through with the implants and requested a refund on the $8200. He told me he already spent money on materials. This is not true. I have researched the price of the implant and the abutment that is used in implant surgery. Perhaps it cost a few hundred dollars and can be used on another patient for this procedure. 7. I called Sunbit, the loan company, and asked if I can cancel the loan. They told me that only Dr. Lesser can cancel loan as he was already paid. I am paying $499 monthly for 12 months for $6,000 loan and $182 monthly for $2200. I had my attorney call him and asked him to please refund my money as I am a 78 year old woman and living on Social Security. He basically told my attorney that if he sued him for the money he would use his wife as his attorney. I am asking for retribution as this man is unyielding and insists that he already spent the money on my case. Thank you for your consideration on this matter. I am very much looking forward to a response and a solution.

I did not receive a receipt for the $275. It was a mistake on my part not to ask for one. The invoice for this visit was sent to my place of employment, which I find to be very unprofessional. I was billed $627.00 for x-rays. Patients should be informed that their x-rays are on the high end. My dental insurance only covered $87.00 and I can understand why. The individual responsible for billing is unprofessional in communication, both verbally and through email. My visit to this office is costing $550 with no dental work being performed. The kicker! They have pursued legal action against me for the $275. I did inform my dentist about my unfortunate experience with this office. I was provided me a new referral and had a much better experience. The total cost for my root canal (two visits), crown and x-rays, was less than $250.00.

Basically a good dentist and salesman. No problems here. The problem, and it is a big one for me, is his business practices. He quoted a price for his services and then, without any mention exacted significantly more for a "consultation" after the work was done. In this case, tripling the price. Specifically, I visited his office for a cleaning and imaging and was quoted a $ 225 fee. While I was there I asked about tooth pain. He looked at adjacent teeth, never mentioning charges. Upon leaving, I was billed $610 for "Consultation". Some may feel this is fair. No discussion permitted; just my problem. You be the judge. Imaging, which was included with the cleaning must be read by a doctor. So a cleaning must include some consultation. No explanation offered. Just pay up. If a patient feels so bamboozled, eh - robbed - that he is posting in every Internet forum and telling every Rockville Centre resident he knows, Dr. Hasday has failed him. Dr. Hasday might review his billing practices. An otherwise fine practitioner should not be leaving his patients feeling they were dealing with a lier and were ripped off.

I have waited well over a year to put to words my experience with Dr. Hasday…read more I went to him to have an implant done. The experience went smoothly until a couple of days later when my face started to swell. I went back to Dr. Hasday's office and was given a stronger antibiotic to combat the infection that was beginning. Another couple of days and the swelling didn't go down, in fact, the swelling began to spread. Went back to Dr. Hasday, his exact words were that he "was not worried at all" and to wait for the antibiotics to take affect. Two more days later, I went back to his office for the third time. I was told to go to the hospital immediately as it seemed that the infection was spreading down my neck and up my face. I ended up spending FIVE DAYS in the hospital. And that's not even the worst part of the story! Dr. Hasday, while attentive when the implant failed and while I was in the hospital, soon began to ask for payment! Payment for a failed implant that left his patient in the hospital for FIVE DAYS! I thought that there must be a mistake and he assured me that he had to seek payment from me because it could show fault on his part if he didn't! Ultimately, he did return some of the money that I had already paid. Then it was time to re-attempt the implant. The negotiations were on again! I stupidly paid, again, to have the implant done with his office. SECOND IMPLANT ALSO FAILED! So, thousands of dollars spent, 5 days in the hospital, one terrifying infection, one infection/implant removal surgery and still no implant. I recognize that some of what happened was out of Dr. Hasday's hands. However, how he comported himself during one of the worst times of my life, is all him. This is a doctor that does not care about you. Trust me. By the way, I am still receiving calls from his office for payment.
