Dr. Dellanzo is purely money driven. She fronts as a dentist to try to sell other "whole body" services and products. She stopped accepting some health insurance because she wasn't getting paid enough or reimbursed for non dental work. Now she is closing!! read more

I just found out the practice was permanently closed yet never was notified about it. I had an upcoming appointment as well so I feel like that is not super professional to just leave your clients hanging. On top of that the last few years I had been dealing with health issues and whenever I went to the dentist, she called me fat multiple times. She had no idea of the health issues that I was going through at that time and for a dentist to say those things is incredibly unprofessional. read more

I have been going to Dr. Dellanzo to have an upper denture fabricated. On my first visit, the assistant attempted to take 3 xrays, none of which she was able to do. The hygienist was supposed to clean my teeth. When she left the room Dr Dellanzo entered the room ,the hygienist returned and was instructed to bring me to a different room. After the hygienist moved me she left and Dr. Dellanzo pretty much took over and my teeth were not cleaned until a couple of weeks later. There was no mention of the x-rays that were not completed. Very little history was taken except discussion about the current denture I have and why I wanted a new one made. Dr. Dellanzo went on and on to criticize male dentists and how they don't care about esthetics.We discussed my medical history. I informed her I was treated for cancer with chemo and immunotherapy, the later of which was attributed to have led to other medical problems such as excema and a compromised immunity system.Dr. Dellanzo shook her head and stated the excema was related to diet. She then recommended cryotherapy, gestured toward the cot in the room, and that she was giving me a discount and gave me some literature on it. The next appointment she informed me the assistant (or hygienist)conducts the cryotherapy.I informed her I am treated by a dermatologist and have regular injections for the excema, which has been very effective. She continued shaking her head and interrupted me throughout. We discussed a plan for the upper denture and a cost of $2000, which I would pay in $500 installments. After 1 or 2 more visits, a new charge ,for $400, was listed as "portrait denture." I inquired about this as I didn't understand why the teeth would not have been included in the initial quote and agreed upon plan. She stated I would not have liked any other teeth. She also stated she did not have any samples to show me to compare to other types of teeth. I went along with it as I had already paid $1000 toward the denture, but I began to feel uncomfortable and distrustful of this dentist. Today, I went for the "try in to determine fit (and I thought esthetics)," and then the completed denture would be ready on my next appointment. I informed Dr. Dellanzo, I was not happy with the denture. While it did fit, the teeth were too short the entire denture not wide enough to fill my mouth.At this point, I have paid $1500. Dr. Dellanzo refused to contact the lab to modify the denture and stated I could go to Amsterdam and discuss this with the lab technician myself. She said "I'm done"! We continued the discussion in the receptionist area. Dr. Dellanzo agreed to refund $500, asked me how much I paid so far and I showed her my receipts totalling $1500. She then refused to give any refund. Dr. Dellanzo refused to modify the denture which was not yet completed, and refused to give me a refund . Despite my being visibly upset, Dr. Dellanzo was argumentative and hostile and in the presence of other patients. She also insulted me during this discussion by referring to my current teeth as "horseteeth". I have never experienced such an unprofessional dentist totally lacking in empathy ,kindness and skill. read more

I only started using Alina because my previous dentist retired and she took over the business. I called to schedule a routine cleaning as I was due for one and the dental hygienist was nice, extremely chatty and telling me all about here love life, but nice. Come to find out I needed scaling done because I had deep pockets. Fine. That took 2 appointments and both appointments I only dealt with the chatty hygienist. Today I had a follow up exam with Alina. I was running about 5 minutes late so I called ahead to let them know. I was told it was fine. I got there and ended up waiting another half an hour. I get taken to the back and put in the chair. Alina comes over introduce herself and then the next words out of her mouth "you need to lose weight!" I was kind of shocked by this statement and this is a touchy subject for me and is something I'm actually working on...but she's a dentist. She then started mumbling about how it's important to lose weight and she's lost weight and then proceeded to lift up her shirt exposing her stomach to show me and slapped her stomach She told me I needed to join a gym and start exercising and asking me how old I am and how much did I weigh when I was 20? It was very uncomfortable. THEN (oh yes, there's more), she asked me if I had any OTHER medical issues (because apparently I'm a fat cow... I'm 5'7" and currently weigh 179) and I mentioned that I struggle with depression and anxiety. "WHY?! You are a young beautiful woman! You have no reason to be depressed! I hate this word depressed! If you kept busy you would have no time to be depressed!" And she went on and on telling me how I have no reason to be depressed. Lady, you don't know me, you're not my therapist, and you're belittling my illness! She then told me she has another patient coming in next week and I need to come see her because she can measure the width of my knuckle and give me a complete medical report that will be 6 pages long and then do acupuncture...no thanks. She then kept trying to push bleaching my teeth onto me which I don't want and my insurance doesn't cover anyway! All in all it was supposed to be an exam and she spent MAYBE 5 minutes looking at my teeth and 20 minutes lecturing me on how I'm fat and shouldn't be depressed. I'm canceling all future appointments and finding a new dentist. DON'T GO HERE! read more

Got a filling, tooth was hurting. I decided to go to another dentist and they told me the filling was cracked and filled correctly.

Dr. Allina has helped me finally get the smile I've been missing for years , always there to help you out when you need adjustments, her staff is excellent and courteous. I would recommend anyone who needs dental work done to give her staff a shot , im glad i did !! read more

It seems like a normal dentist's office when you first walk in there (aside from the massage chair you can use). The hygienist seemed ok, he did the normal cleaning stuff mainly only to my front teeth and then when the dentist came in she handed me my coat and stuff back first then asked to see my teeth (like she forgot?). Neither one was very interested in seeing my biteguard and the reason I went was because I have TMJ. What they did recommend? Acupuncture. I have never once been to a dentist that treated my teeth as an afterthought and tried to push me towards pseudoscience. read more

Edit: August 2019 - Two months later and I have a tooth that hurts when flossing. Went to another dentist and she found I needed two fillings and one of them was an actual cavity. Those didn't just show up in two months. Original review: I'm going to start with the good things about this office before going into what went wrong. In June, I called this office because I needed a cavity filled on the lower left along my gum line and they take Medicaid. The receptionist was pleasant and helpful and able to get me in within the week. The office is very clean and modern. When I went in for my initial appointment, my wait time was minimal. The dental assistant was great and very friendly. They're the only office I've seen in the area that offers a nano hydroxyapatite product. Here's where it goes wrong. I told the doctor what I originally went for and she kept pointing at two other cavities. Fair enough - those should be filled. I again mentioned the cavity on the gum line and she pointed at unrelated teeth and just nodded they would fill them when I next came in. Okay? Next she asked if I wanted a cleaning. Yes, of course. They applied numbing paste to my gums. Never in my life have I ever needed that. The doctor did the cleaning herself and it couldn't have taken more than 5 minutes. I've also never spit out so much blood at a cleaning. Ever. I don't bleed when I floss. She diagnosed me with gingivitis and prescribed a DIY bleach solution and sent me on my way with an appointment for fillings. A couple weeks later I went back for my fillings. Again, wait time was very short. The dental assistant numbed my left side only. I asked about the other fillings and she consulted the doctor. The doctor came in later to inject the local anaesthetic and I asked about the other cavities. I also asked if there would be any impact to my gumline as I didn't know how far down the cavity went on the side. She seemed confused and didn't understand what I meant. Then she asked to see it and jabbed a probe into it. She asked if I wanted them all done today. Uh, yes? She went to inject the right side - I told her it hadn't been numbed and she said it didn't matter. I felt her put the needle in two times and on the third time she hit a nerve or something and it radiated pain along my lower front teeth. She kind of tsked and left the room. Some time later, she came in and did the fillings. She kept asking me how the bite felt. Lady, I basically can't feely entire face because I think you overdosed me. She sent the assistant away towards the end and finished the left side cavity which I originally went in for and she was finished. From the time I walked in to the office to being discharged, it was less than 45 minutes. Oh right, she also checked my gums to see if the bleach rinse was effective and declared it a success since I had no more bleeding. I hadn't been doing the rinse. Frankly I hadn't changed my brushing routine at all. BTW don't do the bleach rinse. Or if you do, you need additional dilution as her written concentration is too high. Google it. A couple weeks later I still had pain in my lower front teeth every time I opened my mouth. The two she did on the lower right side have a slight gap so food gets stuck. The one she did on the lower left was a total rush job - there was extra material and she never even polished it. I had that fixed somewhere else as I wasn't going back to this office. read more

I had a very uncomfortable experience visiting this office. I gave them a second try and am now switching to another dentist's office ASAP. I had one of the most traumatic and painful cleanings I have ever experienced. I thought I was going to actually throw up from pain and the aggressive touch of the hygienist. I was later told to formulate my own bleach solution as a mouth rinse at home to combat signs of gingivitis (which I have never had after many years of visiting dentists all over North America). read more
