The nurses are amazing but the dentist himself absolutely rude do not recommend this place.

Today I woke up with a massive tooth ache and when I walked in, I fell to the floor because I was in so much pain, the receptionist and the dentist assistant help me into a room and my wife took care of the paperwork and the bill. They got me seen very quick, and they called the doctor, and he came in and told me everything he was going to have to do and it was over. They are very nice and very patient because I was in so much pain. I will go back to them because they help me and I feel no pain. read more

My entire family has been going to Dr. Yevgeny Sosnovsky for a decade, and he is the gentlest, most experienced, and kindest man in the world. I have seen him on several occasions take in patients who have walked in off the street - had no insurance or money - and Dr. S. would say 'Okay' - take them to the room and fix whatever was clearly hurting them. I'm sure these reviewers are leaving out a big part of the story that would clearly show how wrong they were or there was a major breakdown in communication. Dr. S. is excellent. read more

I have never felt so disrespected in a medical facility in my life. My insurance upgraded and my old dentist did not take it any more. I found a new dentist that's open on Saturday's (Brunswick Dental) so because I'm so busy I started going there. I've been there around 5 times within a couple months to get fillings and apparently a root canal that was sprung on me and a cap for my tooth. So let's just start off with saying one of the secretaries is an absolutely rude and unprofessional, always has an attitude. She spoke to my mother on the phone and was groaning and moaning as she was on hold as I can hear her outside my dental chair door. The first time I went one of the owners (A Russian husband and wife) to work on my teeth. He filled a tooth and then said he wasn't going to work on any other region of my mouth because he wanted to go home.... Then the next appointment the dentist got into a fight with the hygienist as they were working on my mouth and as you can imagine that was unprofessional and uncomfortable. Now this is my 5th time back, I had a crown waiting for me after I was suppose to get my tooth "tested" to see if I needed a root canal. I am suppose to get this work done by the other owner, the wife of this facility. When I sit down she's ready for the root canal. I said wait, we are unsure if I need one I was told I'm getting a test done today to see if I need it? She goes oh no, I don't do that! I'm like what??.. that's why I'm here? She goes no you must go somewhere else for that. I ask why did the other dentist set me up for this test if you don't do it? The OWNER, says she doesn't know. So we go ahead with the root canal which took a couple hours as she and the hygienist chit chat and giggle. I hear them mention they need to double check if I need a post, and about making me another appointment for my crown. I stop them and inform them my appointment was FOR the crown. The owner goes I don't do crowns! And walks out. I am so upset and stressed out I'm near ready to cry. My mother enters the room and I inform her the job isn't going to be finished. My mother and I are upset and she wants to know who to report this to, and the hygienist says my moms HARASSING HER!!! And to LEAVE!!! What?? The OWNER comes in and as I'm sitting in the chair she is above me and says that I'm "arguing" with her! What?! I want to know why her dentist said she was going to test my tooth and give me a crown and now she's telling me "she doesn't do it". She continued to repeat I was arguing with her and that she does not know what the Saturday dentist says. WHY be open on a Saturday if you won't communicate with staff! She didn't even know what I was suppose to get done!! Unorganized! Then she told me that she is tired, she is overworked and does not want to work on my teeth any longer!! She goes "I DID MY JOB! I did not hurt you did I? I did my job!!" and she refuses to "finish the other dentists work". What about the problem at hand? Your patients health! She says to me that she specializes in root canals not crowns and "when I get my degree someday I will understand" (I already have mine but thanks). Then I actually APOLOGIZE and THANK her for her explanation but to clarify, I am not arguing with her, a service was suppose to be given to me and it is unfinished AGAIN so why did her staff put me in for this?? She said "I am the dentist and I know what is best" and that she will not do it, yet she will not answer as to why she is unprofessional, unorganized and out of touch with her business of apparently 20 years? I was told 3 visits and I will be set, now I will be there for a 6th time. I don't understand how I go in for a service, my mother gets accused she is harassing the hygienist and is asked to leave, and I am crying in the chair getting yelled at by the OWNER with an unfinished job. They have no payment plans, I am sick of going to this dump paying hundreds of dollars up front to be treated like crap from one of the secretaries and get unfinished jobs and be disrespected and yelled at by the owner. The office is disgusting and outdated. They broke a HIPAA law my first visit there as they invited my mother to come in my room and look at my x-ray without my consent. They take Medicaid and I literally feel horrible for people who have no where else to go because they can't afford it and this place is on a bus line. This place should be shut down. They're barely ok if you need a cleaning or fill and nowhere else will take you, but I wouldn't recommend this place to anybody. read more

I can't think of many who look forward to seeing a dentist. The sounds and smells tend to bring fear to the hearts of adults and children alike. Trust is critical here, and I find that this is the only office that I trust in the Capital District. I initially only used them as a second opinion since it's a bit of a drive from Albany, but a few years ago decided that it's worth the drive not to have to question everything. I am writing this detailed review in hopes others also read them prior to booking an appointment. so everyone (particularly women) know what they are walking into. When I called to make an appointment it was for a 2nd opinion, on a long list of work another Dentist said I needed. As I have always kept up on my dental health, it was highly suspicious to me. But if needed, a possible root canal with Dr. Irina Tsesis . She is the female owner of business and had good reviews on my dental insurance site. Her partner (a male) Dr. Yevgeny Sosnovsky did not. Many reviewers found him rude and pushy. I found out that was just for starters. Precisely due to his poor reviews, while making my appointment I asked about Dr. Tsesis and was told by the receptionist that she was on vacation that week. Instead of directly stating I did not want Sosnovsky, I requested someone who was more gentle and would be better dealing with scaredy cats. I knew this would remove him as an option. The receptionist told me she thought it would be better if I went to a woman there because they know us better. Available on my day off was Sosvonsky's daughter, Dr. Vita Phillips. However, relatively young and inexperienced. But, if she needed a 2nd opinion her father (Sosnovsky), was there to ask. Nevertheless, at the time of visit I got Sosnovsky. They pulled a bait and switch. His daughter was just hanging out in the hallway doing nothing. I had noticed when I was in the waiting room his daughter came in front door and never said hello to the receptionists, nor did they acknowledge her. Not good. I told him and the dental assistant why I was there. I provided copies of x-rays and a treatment plan from the dentist one week prior. I also gave him another x-ray from 2 years prior on the tooth I was told I needed a root canal on. He looked around in my mouth and said he did not see any of what the other dentist said I needed at all. He said my x-rays from one week earlier were useless. He could not read them. Without an x-ray on that tooth he could not be 100% sure. He became very animated and insistent that my insurance would not cover another x-ray, so I have to pay him, then I send would send in for reimbursement from Cigna. I tried to explain to him that they would cover it, I had even called Cigna prior to my visit and a rep confirmed it. I also gently reminded him that I went there as they are an In Network Provider with my plan (therefore under contract), and he cannot charge me for the visit. He should be billing my carrier for it. It was a Huge Red Flag, and very disconcerting that he was trying to fleece me out of money when my company would pay for it. It is easily verifiable and routine business practice for a dental office to do so. He was overbearing and insistent with this, and I asked him a couple of times if he would verify the coverage with Cigna . He begrudgingly and reluctantly did so. Cindy called and verified I could have an oral exam, cleaning, bitewing x-rays. Just not a full mouth x-ray. I took her note and brought it into Sosnovsky in exam room. who then said they are not going to pay for oral exam. I told him his employee just verified they would, and is on the note in her handwriting. I was feeling uncomfortable , as his behavior was bizarre and illogical. I had just given him the note from HIS EMPLOYEE stating it was covered and he was telling me it wasn't. She also verified that the claim from the previous Dentist was already received. He was angered I was not allowing him to bully me by obediently paying out of pocket as he instructed. He was a tyrant, and UNETHICAL all day long if not illegal. I told him to please ask her. He became highly irritated, removed my dental bib, threw both hands in the air and said "I decline, I have spent enough time on you!" Your a problem! This is a problem! His abusive unstable outburst took place in front of his staff who never batted an eye. Quite telling. Clearly not the first time he has acted so egregious. I stood dumbfounded then left. His conduct was disgraceful and shocking. I am contacting the American Dental Association to file a complaint as well as my Insurance company. I suggest others do the same. read more

I brought my daughter to Brunswick Dental last Saturday. That morning she ended up breaking her front adult tooth. This is not our normal dentist but since it was Saturday most offices are closed. I called the office and they saw my daughter right away without a prior appointment. When we arrived, the staff was all very friendly and within a few minutes the Dentist had fixed my daughters tooth. It looks great and you couldn't tell by looking at it that it was ever broken. The dentist really did an excellent job and made my daughter feel comfortable during the procedure. Anyone looking for a new dentist should consider Brunswick Dental. read more

I was told by Brunswick dental Hoosick Street in Troy (Walmart Plaza) on Friday 5/8/2020 to come between 8:30am-1pm the next day which was Saturday to get help with an emergency. I even verified that they would be open because it is Saturday, the lady on the phone confirmed they would be and they opened May 4th for emergency services only, including Saturdays and gave me instructions like, wear a mask and come alone. I get there at 9am on Saturday and the doors are locked. I was I so much pain. I called around and Dr. Clemente answered his phone and told me to come right in. I needed to get an extraction and that was by far the least painful extraction I have experienced. I have been in so much pain and Dr. Clemente really came to the rescue Saturday. Liked the dentists very much.. after having 3 teeth removed and being 3 days after the removal I understand the pain can still be there but wanted to be seen to make sure it was healing well and was still in pain and couldn't go to work (I'm a nurse) and take care of others being in the amount of pain and the medication not helping and already taking 3000-4000 mg of Tylenol on top of the Tramadol they gave me which made me sick.. asked for something to help with nausea and she told me I have to go through my primary for that... I don't understand that knowing the medication they prescribed me makes me sick (they were told at that appt that that type of medication makes me sick) they can prescribe it ... the receptionist over the phone tried to tell me it takes 10 days for infection to start.. it does NOT take that long it only takes a couple days... she is not a nurse or a doctor she should not talk about something she doesn't know about .. don't tell a person wrong information its very unprofessional and can lead to problems when something does happen. I went in and said something to the hygienist and the other dentist was standing there heard me complaining.. it just upset me ...It's been 6 days and still have pain but looks like it's healing nicely get my stitches out tomorrow. Like I said I like the dentists just upset being told something I knew wasn't true and I would've taking her word if I didn't already know myself. read more

I have had many unplesant experiences with these guys, But last week i was mostly upset by the lack of caring here! i went in just to get an xray taken so we could estimate a cost to remove a wisdom tooth, and the lady jabs this object into my mouth to take the xray, and tell me to bit down, well she has it jammed so far into my jaw that biting down is very painful and it was impossible to keep the object in place, i was visibly in pain by this object but the lady said nothing, just readjusted the object very painfully and went on to take the shot! in the past i have gone there for fillings and was left with a tooth so sharp i cut my cheek with it, and no matter how much you voice that your in pain, they dont stop! i would not reccomend going here...then again its only my opinion, my mother seems to have no troubles there! read more

i went for a cleaning had a loose filling with a cavity under it and a pin cavity in the next tooth. so instead of the cleaning the man there decided to fix my filling and the pin cavity next to it. well let me tell you for 1 the dental associated never helped him and he drilled right through my nerve never told me then proceeded to drill the pin hole cavity out. let me tell you he drilled to the nerve then proceeded to cover both exposed nerves up with filing. they were live nerves!!! once the novacaine wore off i found myself with massive pain and something that felt like electric shocks in my face. i ended up in the e.r. of course the novacaine wore off after hours which i might say you cant get ahold of anyone at the office they have no after hours help. which is pretty crappy. so the next morning i ended up at the office again to get help. i ended up getting both teeth pulled no saving them. now i need a parshal which medicaid dont pay for. which brings me to next issue just because a person is on medicaid dont mean your a no body and you deserve respect too. the man dentist there treats you as if your a piece of garbage cause you get medicaid. like your feelings mean nothing nor do you. the ladies there are nice the dental assistant's suck and do not know how to do their job. it was a horrible place to go. i feel bad for the lady dentist who tried to cover up the mans mess he made in my mouth, she is respectful and its ashame she has to work with such rude disrespectful people who have no feelings for others. to cover up live exsposed nerves is unhumane and i wouldnt do that to my worst enemy. i would not recommend this office to anyone who value's their teeth and wants to keep them. it is a shame you cant trust local dentist's and medicaid cant get us decent care. now lets figure out the bill fillings times 2. e.r. visit, emergency visit at dentist office extractions times 2 plus pain meds plus antibiotics. if it was a decent dentist it would of been 1 visit no e.r. no pulling no meds. and if the dentist makes a mistake my god have the balls to tell your client they might get mad but holly crap to be sent home like i was is just cruel and nasty. i might be on medicaid but you know i'm human and i want some respect as does every person in the world. i'm disabled not rift raft or trash. i hope this saves someone from alot of pain and trama. read more
