We went in to pick up some cabbage on our way home from an event a few years back and left with $100 worth of food and alcohol that looks more like $300 worth. I'm not sure if the owner is Russian or Ukrainian, but he was cool is hell. I picked up the best frozen spinach pies I have ever had. They had blitzes and my favorite kosher split pea soup in the freezer. We try to go back every three months or so even though it's completely out of our way just so we can see what cool finds they have procured. The days of small grocery stores are numbered, but every time I see one I go in. And usually, I keep going back.
