You can definitely feel the family vibe here - it's very warm and welcoming. Cozy place in a shopping center with easy parking. I had the chicken lemon rice soup and a supreme bowl with gyro meat and a bunch of wonderful toppings! You decide whether you want a pita or a bowl, then you pick your protein, toppings and sauces, and any sides that you might like. If you still have room after your main course you can select from a number of delicious desserts. Everything is really super flavorful which I really appreciated. Hands down, the best coffee in Sylvania, no question. Expertly made, well banaced flavors, never overly sweet, never bitter, burnt or weak. The Mediterranean Latte is my usual go-to, sweetened with honey (they offer other sugar substitutes as well!). It's like a warm hug. They always have several excellent seasonal flavors as well, so we try those every time. This winter, the Peppermint Mocha and the Cinnamon Latte are delightful. Everyone who works here is so friendly and helpful. They remember us even tho we are only here twice a year, and I find that very sweet. We have had their bowls as well, all of which were good quality. There are lots of protein, topping, and sauce choices. They have grab n go desserts and some side dish items in the cooler with the sodas (they have Coke *and* Pepsi products). This location is clean, bright and warm with a clean restroom (for customers only) and some outdoor tables to enjoy in the warmer months. Let me just start by saying any place that allows you to try EVERYTHING is a restaurant that I will support. From the meats to the sauces to the lemonade. I received samples without asking, I was greeted upon entry and while exiting. Now to the food everything I tried was delicious, and you could tell it was freshly made. My only complaint would be how big the onion and zucchini veggies were chopped. If I had gotten a knife with my to go order, I would have just cut them up to my liking. So many options! Great staff, delicious food! Wasn't expecting to order first at the counter (which can feel like a lot of pressure walking in somewhere for the first time) but it was so worth it. The rice was really good too. Not dry at all. The pita did need to be warmed up and the falafel was not my favorite. It seemed more like a veggie patty. Zane's has become a staple in our household since moving to Toledo 4 years ago. The food is fantastic, but the service is even better! The team always greets us with a smile, shares any new dishes (they love to share samples!), and are always including little extras. It's family-run, and they're continually improving. Added the café recently with excellent coffee (something in short supply in Sylvania), improved the ambiance significantly, and now I hear they've opened another location in Lambertville. Excited for their growth, as they absolutely deserve it! Zane's is truly a gem in a city that generally lacks quality restaurant food. This is a great Mediterranian place tucked into a small strip center in Sylvania. Whether you eat in a sparse but functional dining area or outside, you will enjoy the experience. Proudly owned by a closely-knit Lebanese family, the care and concern shown in the creation and preparation of their menu are quite evident. The primary offerings are a bowl with a rice base (other options available) and a myriad of topping options from meat, cheese, vegetables (hot and cold), and sauces. EVERYTHING is freshly made. There are no pre-packaged, processed, or fried foods used here. There are also a variety of appetizers or "small plate" items as well. I am in the process of working my way through the list!! Their hummus is quite good and is a featured item within the restaurant and at the local farmer's market during the summer months. (My wife discovered Zane's via a conversation with Ali at this market which has led us to the restaurant numerous times.) Food was very good, service and friendliness were outstanding! Definitely recommend the chicken and lamb bowl, be sure to get a mix of the garlic and cucumber sauces. We order the easy platters, one with falafel and the other with the chicken shawarma. It came with fatoush salad, huge amount of sweet aromatic rice, hummus and garlic sauce and roasted zucchini. The platter could have fed two and was very reasonably priced. The food was really good! Falafel made in house and partner says "it's the best Lebanese food I've ever had."
