I always love eating at Tiger Bakery! They have many vegan options which is what I eat while I'm there, and I've never been disappointed! If you eat meat, and are looking for halal their meat is halal here. This has become a regular "go to" local spot for me!

Had vegan friends in town. Was happy to try Tiger Bakery & Deli out with them. A check-in offer always encourages me to try something new and I appreciated that the staff used a speaker system since masks and shields make it hard to hear each other. My favorite was the lasagna and I always enjoy fantastic baklava.

Tiger Bakery is the gold standard for down to earth authentic Lebanese in Toledo. And if you're a true Toledoan you know that Lebanese and middle eastern food in general is an important part of our food culture. It's so fun to pop in and grab a hand full of different salads and dips along with fresh pita to complete the meal. You can eat it there in their small (usually empty) cafe or take home for a great meal later. The vegetarian products are all fresh and clean tasting, and the meat products like the kibbeh or meat pies are deliciously greasy. It's REALLY easy to miss this place, but if you haven't already been, bookmark and add it to your to-do list. Tiger is a Toledo classic!

Tiger Bakery is the height of Toledo cuisine. It's not fancy and there's no table service. It's just fantastic food. Watch out for the staff. They will ply you with free samples and convince you to order much more food than you intended. It will be new and delicious and half the reason to come. The lunch specials are what most people get. I recommend the four side combo for about $9. The chicken skewers are great and come in three flavors, all great. I particularly like the spicy. The lentil salad is nice for a balance. There are five or six rices that are all great. I'm a huge fan of the dajjaj. It's chicken and green peppers in a mild, tomatoey sauce. It has a touch of sweet in the savory and goes well over rice. DO NOT FORGET THE HUMMUS. I have lived in LA, DC, and NY, all food meccas. Nobody has hummus like this. It is smooth and almost creamy. Yes, it's great for pita, but dip your chicken in it, spread it on a meat pie. The flavor is not overpowering. I like the red pepper hummus best, but the plain hummus is still better than any hummus I've ever had. Park in back and enter there. There are one or two tables to eat at, but most people take out. The food is not prepared to order, but is reheated. Don't worry, it still tastes fabulously fresh.

This is the best place to go to for Arabic food. Tiger Bakery & Deli is a 10 Star place for healthy fresh food. Just take a look at these photos from the food we ordered from Tiger Bakery.

Ordering takes place at the counter, so grab a menu there, make your choices and pay. You'll receive a number to take back to your table. Food was brought out in the proper order - appetizers, mains, and dessert, all when appropriate. The food was WONDERFUL(!), so flavorful, freshly prepared, really delicious. We had two wraps, lentil soup, a Lebanese burger, grape leaves, kibbe, and baklava. I would note only that the wraps (pita or lavash) were fairly thin, so grab an app or a side if that's your choice for a main. Lavash wraps are larger than pitas. It's a shame that they don't offer a falafel lavash wrap, but there are lots of other choices on the extensive menu. The clientele included lots of Arabic families, a wonderful testament to the excellent authentic food offered at Sidon. We also stopped into their market and found it to be a bustling place - large, clean, brightly lit, with tons of options and so many freshly-prepared foods. Staff were efficient and friendly. Prices are reasonable. Sidon is a great find!

As much as I'd like to say I've tried more dishes here, I can't... because their chicken shawarma is too good to steer away! Lovely portions for the $20 price tag. I'm very hard to fill-up, but they manage to do it here. The large portion sizes is what ultimately keeps me coming back. Owner & management - please keep it up! Kind staff. Very accommodating. Treated like family while dining in. Newly remodeled dining area that's especially nice. The ONLY knock I have is a 7% fee for dining - which appears to be a new charge. Food is prepared on a paper plate and served on a plastic tray that you return when throwing away trash. The additional expense to eat in is not justifiable. There is also a 3% non-cash fee. Be prepared to spend an additional 10% menu price if you plan to dine in & pay with card. Overall, I thoroughly love this place, and will continue to eat here a LOT as long as prices remain manageable and portions stay large. I very highly recommend!

Bottom line: Zane's is Lebanese fast food done right. VERY right. I've never had a bad meal. I usually get a chicken bowel with a veggie base (spiced rice base is standard). I've had the kafta and the gyro as well. Both very good. Don't skip the middle eastern pickles or the pickled jalapeños. Also, the "Lebanese Salsa" and the Tzatziki are excellent. Service: I saw the term "Chipotle model" used in another review. I'd call that a generally accurate statement. The people working behind the counter are ultra friendly and prone to giving free samples if you ask how something tastes! Healthy options? There are plenty of combos that you can put together to manipulate your macros in anyway you want. Atmosphere: Meh. I think of Zane's as a take out joint, but they do have some tables for dining in. 5 stars.

While I did not experience the ambiance at Grape Leaf Diner today, I can say from a past visit that the atmosphere is clean, bright with lots of windows, and with comfortable chairs and booths. The restaurant is located near or within a small strip mall at the Holland, OH location. (The Grape Leaf Express location in Toledo, OH located on Monroe St near Franklin Park Mall is also in a strip mall.) The food ordered today included chicken shawarma, yellow rice with vegetables (green beans, corn and peas), hummus, pita bread, and a Greek salad. There was also a dish of grilled vegetables that included squash and zucchini. While I didn't want to be rude and photograph food in the middle of the party, I took some screenshots posted by the restaurant to give you an idea of the food presentation. The salad ingredients were very fresh and delicious. Hummus was perfectly flavored. I always wish that Mediterranean rice had more vegetables, though it was delicious. I found the chicken shawarma a bit salty, but I'm salt-sensitive, so most people probably would love it; the meat was lean. As for the zucchini and squash vegetables, they looked delicious but we didn't have plastic knives, and I couldn't manage to cut them or eat them with the plastic forks. It was a beautiful presentation and I recommend that you give this restaurant a try!
