My first time here. I only knew of this place because it's attached to a smoothie store. I actually had a prescription to pick up so that's why I'm here now. Had a wonderful conversation with the ladies. Their supplements are quality. Which is great. Most are synthetic and a waste of your money. Also they have a lot of services too. I am a member at Alive and Well and unfortunately I've had repeated issues with disorganization every time I purchase supplements or prescriptions. Orders are often not ready, I'm not notified when items arrive, and I've had to come in multiple times only to be told that my supplements are still not available. Most recently, I placed a large order for supplements and was repeatedly told during multiple visits that items were unavailable. On my last visit, I asked for a printed receipt to make sure I was actually receiving everything I paid for. Instead of simply assisting me, the front desk staff member was unprofessional and made assumptions, saying that if she couldn't find my name it must mean I never paid or that I wasn't in their system. As a paying member, this was frustrating and disappointing. I expect clearer communication, better organization, and more respectful customer service! especially when dealing with large purchases and health-related products. I hope management addresses these ongoing issues so future experiences are more reliable. read more

I will start by saying that this is for the functional wellness side of operations. I am currently on the monthly membership plan where you get 4 scheduled visits with your provider and 4 visits with your health coach. I was satisfied with the provider their knowledge and thorough explanation of my lab results, super comprehensive. It does feel like a bit of a bleeding wound with all the additional out of pocket expenses for tests/labs supplements etc. SO be mindful of that when picking a plan or choosing to go this route- it gets pricey F A S T!! This review is specifically targeted to the health coach. I found this service to be suboptimal. This has nothing to do with them as human, in fact they were warm welcoming and could tell they enjoy what they do and believe in it. Where things went awry for me was the information the health coach shared with me wasn't particularly useful. For anyone in the community or is health conscious would know the basics which is what was parroted during the visit. I left that call feeling rather patronized and like "is this what I am spending money on." The information that was shared during my visit I felt is more appropriately geared to the person just starting their health and wellness journey or who might not have access to the internet. Things that were told to me during health coach visit were: eat 30g of protein per meal, access your joy/stress management, drink half your body wt in water, inquiry on if i have a water filtration system at home sleep hygiene heavy selling on eating "clean" -which I found to be a bit of an orange flag, as that dichotomy (clean/dirty-good/bad) can perpetuate nutritional purity culture and be a slippery slope for folks into disordered eating territory, food anxiety, and or unhelpful thinking patterns towards food and one's self image. I am ambivalent if I will continue this monthly membership as half of what is being promoted/marketed has an emphasis on the health coach as a selling point. I enjoy learning and improving my approaches to wellness, however this experience really left me bummed as it wasn't anything that a fitness/wellness influencer, chatgpt, or basic knowledge living a health-ish lifestyle wouldn't be informed of. read more

I have been meaning to visit Alive and Well for years! After some holiday burnout, this was the perfect excuse to visit. I love that they use text to help coordinate appts, as I was trying to book multiple treatments for my visit, and someone reached out saying they'd call me to streamline it. Someone gave me a call and recommended a spa package. Not sure how long it's available for but it was a phenomenal deal -- infrared sauna, LED lounge, 60-min swedish massage, and a shot for $185. Shelby, the locker room attendant, was so helpful. Really sweet and quick to help me throughout my visit. Everything was clean and I felt amazing after the sauna + LED. There was a gap before my massage so I spent about 30 min in the lounge...it's really small and wish it had a water station. I overheard my massage therapist, Danielle, mention "one more to go" to someone before coming to get me (just curtains to close off the "lounge" so not hard to overhear hallway chatter). Tbh I was expecting her to be rushed or not very enthusiastic as it was the end of the day. Within 10 seconds of my massage, all my worries went away. I was SO relaxed and felt it was one of the best massages I've had in a while. I told my husband we need to start coming here instead of our usual spot for massages. Upon checking out after receiving a $265 IV, I presented my credit card for payment. The friendly attractive front desk staff asked me if I wanted to include a Tip for the Nurse. To request this for a Medical treatment is appalling in itself... but to ask for a tip out loud is unacceptable. If the owner wants to continue with this request for Tipping... they need to invest in a more discrete nonverbal point of purchase software. Of all the great things I could have posted, this last encounter at checkout left me with a very sour end. My wife recently visited Alive and Well with our child and encountered an issue that requires attention. The fountain in the clinic has a noticeable mold problem. Unfortunately, after our child touched the fountain, they developed a rash. She reached out via email to report this concern but has not yet received a response regarding any action that has been taken. Given the clinic's emphasis on mold detox therapies, it's surprising to see a mold-infested fountain in the facility. For the safety and well-being of all clients, especially those with mold allergies, we kindly request that the clinic address this issue. I am now doing their functional medicine program, working with a nutritionist and a lifestyle coach. Can't say enough good things. Ever since I started their program, I've 1. gotten myself a bit more on track with my lifestyle (I was lost and a mess when the pandemic hit in terms of how my lifestyle was affected), 2. I have been struggling with not sweating since I had my thyorid removed in 2010 due to cancer. I have been doing acupuncture, taking pills, lymph drainage, etc. everything I can think of, but body was not responding or sweating at all. Came here for the first time today and was underwhelmed at best and insulted at worst. The space itself is nice to look at but behind the scenes it's pretty basic and actually quite loud. I feel like I drastically overpaid for what ended up being a mediocre experience, and I found it is not the place for a relaxing spa day. Pros: - The nurse who ended up finally doing my IV was super friendly and attentive - The blanket and heating pad made the experience very comfortable - Morgan was absolutely lovely and provided one of the best massages I've ever had. Super targeted to my areas of concern and the pressure was perfect Cons: - The lobby was super loud and packed when I checked in, and the receptionist never offered me water or to show me where the locker room or cafe were despite knowing it was my first time here - The nurse that took me back to the IV lounge was a bit short and after confirming the IV drip I was going to get she literally disappeared and left me in the room alone waiting for 30 minutes with no explanation or apology. This was super frustrating because I had a massage scheduled after the IV drip and I purposely scheduled it so that I would have ample time between services to relax. Finally another nurse came into the room, asked if any of my vitals had been taken (nope) and agreed to go ahead and do everything for me since I was waiting so long. My IV didn't end up getting started until 45 minutes after my appointment time. - The IV drip was relaxing but the button on the chair to reverse the incline on my chair wasn't working and the entire chair ended up tipping forward so I almost fell out of it - The "spa waiting room" is the size of a closet, can fit 2-3 people max with just a couple of basic chairs, and you can hear all of the loud noise from the lobby and employees shouting back and forth to each other in the hallway, so it's anything but relaxing - Throughout my massage I could hear employees laughing and chatting in the hallway, so this definitely hampered the relaxation part of the experience Overall, I was pretty disappointed and do not plan on returning for any services other than maybe another massage from Morgan. read more

If you have never had colon hydrotherapy you should defiantly get one. You will leave feeling revived and light on your feet. Any bloating or constipation you might be experiencing will be gone. Elsa at Alive and Well is a professional. She is certified in CHT, she will explain the process and make you feel so comfortable while your getting the treatment. (the treatment is 100% natural, so you don't have to worry about weird drugs being put in your body) She also will give you suggestions on diet to help with bloating or constipation. I really, really, really wanted to love this place but it is so disorganized - the administrative staff just can't get it together with billing and membership. They have made countless mistakes with my account and I am beyond frustrated. I finally canceled my membership because of all their administrative and billing errors (which were more stress-inducing than whatever treatments I had there were alleviating); still I receive auto-pay notifications from them - it's very ridiculous. On one occasion a device didn't work, so I had driven 45 minutes x 2 for nothing. I do NOT recommend this establishment. There are plenty of other places in the area that offer a more calming experience. read more

This was my first experience with a functional medicine practitioner. It was eye opening. I spent almost two hours with her going over my entire health history to find the root causes of some of my health problems. The usual medical exam just prescribes a drug to treat the symptoms. This is totally different. I'm now getting tested for mold exposure, heavy metals, and gut health. I've already stopped some of the drugs I had been taking and getting help with better nutrition. I feel better already. Functional medicine should revolutionize health care but big pharma will fight it. There is too much money at stake. Even if you just need help with supplements they can help you find what you are looking for. I have done a lot of the therapies- LED Red Light Therapy, Infrared Sauna, Cold Plunge, IV drip, vitamin shots. And it is truly therapeutic. Everything is always clean. I have met with Dr. Paige Ryan for my health several times and she is absolutely amazing. If you are looking for a new doctor go to Dr. Ryan. She has helped me SO much with my health issues and lingering Covid symptoms. It can be pricey but if you do a membership it saves you a ton of money. This place is truly amazing. However it was Colon Hydrotherapy with Elsa that truly made me fall in love with this place. I received my first treatment with Elsa back in April when I was beginning my gut health journey. Elsa was kind and gentle, teaching me how to let go on a micro level, which has now translated into other parts of my life. A few months later and I just finished 6 more sessions with Elsa. Colon Hydrotherapy has been so transformative in my life. I'm leaving my corporate job to pursue my dreams. I rarely ever leave reviews, but my frustration and hopes to save someone else's time and money led me here. I had really high hopes for alive and well. I've being dealing with chronic anxiety and health symptoms for the past few years. I've been to multiple doctors who haven't gotten to the root cause. So I was extremely hopeful l knowing that alive and well would dig deeper. Right off the bat the NP Mel didn't take notes correctly on our first zoom call about my health. Wrong health information was marked. I noted it and it wasn't a big deal. After that, they ordered some tests for me and come to find out after moving on to a new doctor they left out pretty important information when informing me of results. The pharmacy said they would have my supplements ready when I drove all the way there about 25 minutes away and my order was no where to be found. I got a hormone panel done and was told that they had my results, yet they couldn't inform me of my results or send them to me after over 4 weeks had gone by which is insane to me and extremely unnecessary. I would send a message here and there asking questions since I did pay $350 a month, and it was looked at as a chore to respond to me, which leaves me very confused with what I was paying for. My results were not thoroughly elaborated for my testing and I'm now paying more money that was wasted for a trusty new functional practitioner. I followed the Nurse wellness business page and in all my frustration saw her posting about how "draining" in exact words patient care can be. Which is not only super unprofessional but made me feel worse with what I was already dealing with with them. The patient portal was not used for easy access and they definitely have a ton of glitches in their functional medicine program. This wasn't everything, as there is a few issues I've left out. I had hopes I would be referring them to all my personal clients being in the health industry, but Unfortunately I advise you save your money as my experience was very unsettling. All that I was offered after all the inconvenience and chaos, not to mention time and money wasted, was to wave my cancellation fee. I feel extremely let down by alive and well. read more

This place looks beautiful and has great staff. The prices are significantly more and the staff really pushed tipping on medical services like IV's. To me this seems a bit out of integrity because nurses are paid much better than a spa therapists and their level of care should not be dependent on whether they are getting a tip. It's also creates financial pressure for those with chronic illnesses like Lyme disease where they need these services to maintain a baseline level of health. read more

I was gifted an incredible day of wellness in November 2018. It started with some tea prior to taking a small and intimate yoga class in a gorgeous space. It was followed by a foot bath in which there was some technical issues so Adam, the owner was generous in making things right by asking if I wanted to try a Meyer IV drip. I delighted and said yes! During my day of wellness, I was also able to receive an ashiatsu massage from Veronica which I'm still thinking about seven months later. I will surely go back to her when time and finances allow. My day ended by enjoying a delicious bowl in the café with a cappuccino. There was enough food in the generous portion to bring home and enjoy the next day. Yesterday I had three services at Alive and Well, red light therapy, IV therapy, and massage therapy and in that order. The place is beautiful and I was greeted at the reception desk by Ariana, the hospitality director who checked me in and provided me a schedule and offered me the choice of hot herbal tea or filtered water. I had never engaged in red light therapy and the therapist led me to the private room and explained how to use the system. She was extremely friendly, thorough and very professional. After my session, she led me to the IV Therapy room and introduced me to the registered nurse who would be administering my IV. The room had five "drip chairs, sufficiently spaced and the room had a Zen like feeling. The two nurses who administered the IV's were both incredibly professional, thorough and friendly. I found it interesting that they were both extremely "fit", exuding the values of their employer. It seemed clear to me that they personally embrace the lifestyle that Alive and Well sells which is a focus on nutrition, detoxification, and fitness, all values that my wife and I believe in. My wife is a nutritionist and we both had a "Detox" IV of Glutithione and Vitamin C and other antioxidants. Our immediate sense of confidence in entering the room was confirmed not only by the way they conducted themselves but also by their answers to our questions regarding the benefits of what we were putting in our bodies. I finished my visit to Alive and Well with one of the best deep tissue massages I have had by a therapist named Danielle. My Alive and Well experience was exceptional. The beauty of my experience there was the professionalism and attention to detail by all members of the team. Compared to a competitor, who missed my extremely large and accessible veins three times (I did not give her a fourth try before walking out), the Alive and Well team is a breath of fresh air. First, I'd like to say this is a very nice place and their herbal pharmacy, if you will, is strong. The people are kind and it's very clean. I take and have many herbs at home and have taken courses from the Natural Nurse. Second, my experience was ozone only, so I'm not grading their acupuncture, or whatever else they offer. Called this morning for an ozone sauna and they had availability. Yay. Now, I've had some ozone in my lifetime. Lots of it. I basically sat inside a steam cabinet with a puny, yet very nice quality fan, (one that would rest beautifully and quietly on my nightstand). The reason for the fan is to keep you from inhaling the ozone, which smells lovely but can temporarily make you cough; and is not made for breathing. This fan does not accomplish that. Third, drove from South Congress area to Lakeway to get this sauna today. Left early because it really wasn't ozone at all. It was steam! Didn't smell any whatsoever, and felt like I wasted 2 hours of my day driving to Lakeway for ozone. Definitely will not return. Bummer, as I found the people and the space quite lovely. read more

I was trying to get these pills for migraine headaches that were recommended to me. I tried ordering it through Amazon and both times Amazon sent the wrong pills even though I had ordered the correct ones. I ended up calling the manufacturer to try and source it out locally and they recommended Alive + Well. I called them on the phone and ordered the medicine for pickup. But a week and a half went by, and I was unable to get there. Today I called them again asking them if they would ship it and offered to pay for the shipping. The lady on the phone was great! She was so nice to me the first time I called and ordered the medication and had it ready within a couple of hours. Then when I called today and asked her to ship it, she said she could do it for free as they have a local delivery service. When I get a chance, I'm going to have to try and visit the store. They are also a compounding pharmacy, so they do deliveries. But as far as it goes, they have exceptional customer service, and I would highly recommend them to everyone! read more
