The one star is for the husbands reserve. The woman took a job that she had no expertise in performing before Christmas, stated 2 weeks. I came at 3 weeks to see the entire job in the same place that I had left it and NOTHING done. I expressed my annoyance to her response "I have other jobs too". 2 weeks later her husband dropped off the job...A complete BUTCHERED JOB. Destroyed $350 dollars of material, changed the shape of cushions, had visible seams in front when side seams should have been done, made cording that terminated overlapped in the middle, widths varied from 4 inches to 2 inches. This job should never had been accepted or performed. She lacks the skills. Nasty woman who was unable to apologize. read more

I have taken many items to this lady over the years and her work is usually good but she was incredibly rude and nasty to my son on our last visit. As a typical teenager, he lost his ticket for the pants he had put in to be altered and she refused to give him his pants when he went to pick them up. His name was on the pants and he had photo ID with him but she tore a strip off him. Yes, he should have kept his ticket safe. No, she will never get our business again. We finally got the pants home and they are too short. I'm fuming. She treated us like crap and ruined my son's expensive pants. read more

I have dealt with the owner for about 7 years now. She has altered or adjusted my suits, leather jackets, sport coats, relined the lining of my sport coats, adjusted sweaters and has darted, adjusted my men's dress shirts. She is old school in manners and her quality of workmanship. I've taken things to her that other tailors have completely botched and she has made them fit perfectly. The owner was so extremely rude! I brought in two things to be taken in and asked a few questions while she pinned them and she said, "I don't tell you how to do your job, don't tell me how to do mine." I walked in at noon, was ready to checkout by 12:20 and when I proceeded to checkout she said it was $45 for a formal dress alteration and $40 for a beach cover up dress. I asked why it was $40 for a silk cover up and $45 for a large gown and she yelled and said, "don't waste an hour of my time if you don't want to pay for services." I was curious why the smaller dress was only $5 cheaper, that was all. And I was literally there for 20 minutes not an hour. She is the rudest old woman and I will never recommend her or go back! read more

I have been going to Amy for 12 years now and cannot say one bad thing about this business! High quality work, with reasonable pricing. This business never lets me down, and the owner is one of the sweetest ladies. Although many people may have had "bad" experiences, I believe many do not realize how hard, physically draining work this woman does! She is the only worker there, and has a system that has worked for her for many years! Make sure to always have your ticket! There are certain guidelines/rules to every business, and I highly doubt this sweet old lady ever yelled at a customer. Her #1 priority is customer satisfaction and I can assure you that Amy never disappoints. Her long years of experience, and the determination of this woman is something more people should appreciate in a dying business of seam-stressing. Best tailor ever! She has done work for me & my son for 20+ years. Some I thought would be impossible yet everything I've ever given her came out great, from coats to a large seat cushion to...well you name it, she can do it.
