One hour into 6 hour trip and all of the sudden had what we suspected to be an air leak in one of our tires. When we searched tire repair in the area we were four miles away from Aljets and decided to stop and see if they could help us. The staff was exceedingly friendly, informative, and quick. They immediately took our truck back and within 45 minutes had found a very small hole in the tire, patched it, and had us back on the road. On top of that they did not overcharge us or charge a fee for getting us in so quickly. We couldn't be more grateful knowing we're safe to continue our drive, and still going to get to our destination in time for our appointments. Charged me 100.00 over agreed quoted price. When I asked why, it was because they kept truck overnight to see if it started up the next morning with new battery and they had to look up the recalls on it. They simply pulled the recalls and did not fix any of them. Researching to see if they could fix any of them should not have been a charge.. nor should I have been charged 100 over the agreed amount. read more

I have been taking my cars to the Staunton shop for over 20 years now. They have always given clear estimates, done good quality work, and have never tried to sell me additional work I didn't really need. When they have found something unexpected I have always gotten a call to authorize the work along with an accurate estimate. The only negative thing I can say is sometimes they are booked up for 2 weeks or more, which reflects on the volume of return customers they have. While on the highway, our serpentine belt disintegrated due to a frozen idler pulley. We exited the highway at Staunton and stopped quickly at the Casey's General Store. Aljet's was recommended and we contacted Barry via phone. It was a Friday and we were driving a Subaru Legacy. Barry indicated that they were very busy and they probably couldn't make the repair until Monday due to obtaining parts and workload. He arranged the tow to their facility and we made transportation arrangements to finish the last 45 miles of our journey. Later in the day on Friday, Barry called me. They were able to obtain the parts, had an opening and completed the repair. We made arrangements to return and pick up the car. Barry and Aljet's were professional, patient and neighborly. My car was brought here, blindly via AAA, after a breakdown on the highway. Even though their shop wasn't equipped to handle an in-depth transmission repair (though they could do a replacement), I was very happy with their overall customer service.
