Great way to connect with culture of the African diaspora. Capoeira classes are great.

My wife and I have been season ticket holders for a couple years now and we absolutely LOVE this…read moretheater. It's got a lot of historic charm and a very intimate audience-to-stage feeling. Very good acoustics. The staff are always very friendly and helpful. The first show of a new run is always on a "Wine Wednesday" where your ticket gets you a free glass of wine before the show. The theater is in the middle of an area with easy access to bars, restaurants, and parking.

If you have poor eyesight, I definitely would not recommend those upstairs seats because it can be pretty difficult to see everything happening on stage. The staff and people are always nice, but one thing I would definitely consider is the steep slope when walking down from the upper levels. It feels very steep and could be easy for someone to slip or fall, especially when navigating the stairs and walkway. There's also always this smell up at the top. there's no good circulation in the whole area which if you have respiratory problems, I would not recommend this place. It's usually stuffy and has an odd smell. I Wish they had air purifiers throughout the whole location.

The breathtaking gardens, tranquil pathways, cascading waterfalls, beautiful blooms, and lush landscapes create an atmosphere of timeless elegance and serenity. The Tea Room was equally delightful, with beautifully presented sandwiches, champagne, and impeccable ambiance, perfect for a special celebration or an elegant afternoon with friends and family. The staff was gracious, professional, and attentive throughout our visit. A wonderful destination for nature lovers, visitors, and anyone who appreciates beauty and sophistication. Absolutely worth experiencing!

I no longer live in the state, but visit every few weeks and make sure to visit the gardens every time. I've painted these gardens over the years and will continue to do so. My favorite gardens are the Rose garden, the Japanese garden and the Chinese garden. This is the perfect date spot as well as a perfect place to walk in the morning amongst nature before the day gets too hot. The children's garden will entertain the littles and they even have a water feature on the hot days. The art pieces throughout the museums are not only beautiful but historical and should not be missed. There is a great coffee shop to grab a cup for your walk and a great gift shop at the exit. There are a couple of quick food options as well. Parking is plentiful- but make reservations! Verdict: perfection- everyone must visit this lovely land at least once in their lifetime.

Glad to have had the chance to attend the season opening concert of the Pasadena Symphony and POPS…read moreseries at the beautiful Ambassador Auditorium. Today's orchestral performance was conducted by the talented Brett Mitchell, with Orion Weiss on piano performing the Ravel piece -- absolutely wonderful. I also really enjoyed Jim Self's composition, which added a nice touch to the program. The main piece of the evening was Symphonie Fantastique by the young French composer Berlioz. It was a long performance, but truly fantastic, living up to its name. This was our first time attending a concert here, and the experience was amazing from start to finish -- great acoustics, comfortable seating, and an inspiring atmosphere. Can't wait to come back for more!

Bathrooms are accessible by staircases. There is a very small, two person elevator available for ADA access. Nice dressing rooms. Very large stage to accommodate performers and musicians. View of stage is great and there isn't a bad seat in the house. Exterior of venue is also very retro in the architecture and landscaping and water fountain designs. Great photo ops. Parking is challenging. There are a few ADA spots. There are stairs to enter venue via Lobby I can't remember if there was a wheelchair ramp. Overall very nice venue.
