    My new dinner set!
    Xinigan X.

This place is a gem. Started taking classes here in August. All three instructors (Amy, Erick, Jasmine) are amazing and ready to answer your questions or show you a different technique. I went from never having taken a ceramics class or touching a wheel to having a dinner set of bowls and some beautiful vases. Love the space and everyone is super nice. Highly recommend if you're looking for a relaxing activity or new hobby.

My latest pieces. Only three months after my first class! Amy at Fahrenheit is a great teacher!

Does anyone know if they are open? Or if they eventually will be? The number listed on google, their website, and yelp doesn't work and I've emailed last week and had no response.

One of my favorite things was how small the class was. It honestly felt like I had booked a private lesson while only paying regular admission. The smaller class size made the experience feel much more personal and gave everyone plenty of individual attention. The instructor was incredibly patient, helpful, and encouraging throughout the entire class. She took the time to answer questions and make sure everyone felt comfortable, even as a beginner. Most of all, I had so much fun! The atmosphere was welcoming and relaxed, and I left feeling proud of what I made and excited to come back. I highly recommend Bitter Root Pottery to anyone interested in trying pottery for the first time or looking for a fun, creative experience.

It was such a fun class, and as first-timers to pottery, we felt like it was a great introduction. The instructors were helpful, and the whole process was really enjoyable. Unfortunately, it didn't turn out to be a great experience. * No blank pottery to paint - Everything available already had printed designs on it. We were hoping to paint our own plates, cups, or bowls, but there were no plain pieces available. * Very limited selection - The inventory felt small. We were told a party of 20 was coming in, and it seemed like the blank items might have been saved for them. * Unhelpful service - When we asked about options, the staff didn't seem very helpful or friendly. * Pricing - There's a $10 studio fee per painter, and many of the stamped platters were around $42 more, which felt expensive for items that were already pre-designed. Since there was nothing blank to paint, we ended up leaving without doing the activity. We were hoping to try something different from Color Me Mine, but unfortunately this visit didn't work out for us. We're going to Color Me Mine.

There is an adorable shop up front of perfectly curated fabrics, sewing accessories, projects, and small treasures while the mid area of the space opens into a creative shared table area. If you venture past the rainbow quilts all the way to the back you will find a treasure trove of Juki sewing machines, set to host a group of new to advanced sewers along with a large table area in the back for a variety of craft projects. My children are in 1st and 4th grade and enjoyed the 2 part Crochet class. When it was a bit difficult for my younger one, Debbie scaffolded the entire thing and made it possible for her to learn, feel successful, and feel like part of the group. We have also tried the finger knitting blanket class and now my 4th grader can make gorgeous blankets for friends and family. The sewing classes for 8+ are incredible. My eldest has loved going in to learn how to make tote bags, pillow cases, and a variety of other sewing projects. They also have camps, which we are eager to try someday. Most recently we hosted a very special birthday party here and I can share that it was incredible, lovely, and probably the most present I've ever been able to be at one of my kid's birthday parties, considering Debbie took on most of the labor! 11 children made pillows together, along with adorable rainbow keychains and they really had a blast. I was so impressed to see my little one sewing away on the machine with her dad next to her and the older kids jump right in. Many of them made 2-3 little pillows, even though they had never sewn before! Debbie's instruction is clear, easy to follow, and she has a great deal of patience while sharing how to create these masterpieces. It was really nice having mochi ice cream in the middle table area too- Debbie had everything needed for a party in case things were forgotten. The little fridge helped too! It was very reasonably priced and an unforgettable experience for the kids. We hope Meraki will be on this cute corner for many years to come!
