One of the very rare TWO bedroomed cottages, everything was absolutely perfect. Fireplace, outdoor spa, verandah, claw bath, stunning gardens, beautiful decor and every attention to detail to make your stay special. When we arrived in the evening, the lights were on, music playing, and beautiful homely touches everywhere. Huge breakfast provisions were provided, scented fresh linen and a fire all set, ready to be lit. Carol, the owner, could not have been nicer from the very first email, to phone calls and text messages. This weekend was for my Mum's 80+ birthday (for the woman who doesn't need anything), and she could not have had a more enjoyable time. We loved this cottage so much and want to recommend it highly. When we arrived there was a problem with the door, so they offered us free drinks while we waited. They recommended delicious restaurants, allowed us to borrow DVDs, and had free wifi at the clubhouse. Our cottage was near the golf course, and just above it was the main thoroughfare where the kangaroos would pass through to get water. We had birds and kangaroos right outside and we loved having wall to wall windows so we could see all the wildlife outside. The cottage was kitted out with everything we needed and a SPA BATH! It was super quiet. Loved it.

Mine was a 1 bedroom apartment and was kitted out with a washing machine, dryer, full size fridge and a oven/stove top. Also had enough cutlery/crockery for 8 people! Free Netflix and wifi just topped it off! Only bad about it was there are no lifts so if your on the top floor and taking your weekly groceries - have fun with the two flights of stairs! They also expect you to take your rubbish out yourself and housekeeping only come once a week - also means they only give you enough, washing powder etx for 1-2 loads and then you have to purchase your own. Overall a great place!

I stayed in The Loft, a picturesque wooden cottage complete with a fenced front garden. The cottage veranda overlooked the dam and it was lovely to wander around. So peaceful and scenic, there was even a little pier with a seat built so you could sit and watch the ducks swim around. If you wander around further outside, there's also a swimming pool, playground and a BBQ for guests to use. The first floor of The Loft is made up of a laundry, kitchen and living area. The owners nicely provided a huge stack of firewood just outside the back door so help yourself to make a roaring wood fire. If you really want to indulge, there is a glorious corner spa bath on the mezzanine floor. Upstairs is a gorgeous four post bed and ensuite. I loved the little rustic touches, for example the corrugated tin shower walls. We'd booked the Wine Affair which consists of two nights accommodation, a winery tour with an included lunch (this was fantastic through Wild Wombats Winery Tours), a cheese platter and a bottle of sparkling wine upon arrival. There are many other packages offered online as well as specials, such as a "pay for 2, stay for 3 nights" deal or midweek prices. Sanctuary Park Cottages is a lovely place to enjoy a weekend away from the city, without losing out on the luxuries.

My flight cancelled and all hotel rooms were taken this weekend in Melbourne due to Taylor Swift…read moreand the Melbourne Cup so.... we had to come here to Dandenong which is 30 miles away from the central business district. The staff are very friendly polite and kind. There's a free breakfast buffet from 7 am and it was quite delicious. Eggs, meats, waffles, cereal, oatmeal and a nice variety of fruits and yoghurt as well. Across the street is a mall with a food court, Coles and Woolworths for groceries and even a movie theatre. The room itself is small and minimally furnished but everything worked well and the tv had many channels unlike some of the hotels I've stayed at by the famous wharf in Melbourne

To start off, we had lunch here and the dining area had gorgeous garden views as well as Yarra valley views. Very clean and decorated nicely with orchids and portraits. The food looked amazing and every bite was tastier and tastier. We had entrees, main food, as well as desserts. The beef brisket was aged for 17 hours and was so tender.The mackerel was surprisingly tasty and the eggplant was perfect. Perfect pairing with pickled shallots and mascarpone mousse. Their side dishes of Brussels sprouts and pumpkin was also quite tasty. Now on to desserts!!!! My favorite part of any meal. Let's just say the cappuccino cake with espresso and sweet & sour apple tart was equally superb. The apple tart looks like Snow Whites !!! Beautiful dish arrangement and the shortbread was good. Lime apple cinnamon cream was amazing. You open the core and there are even more yumminess inside. their cappuccino, cafe, and tea selections were good too. If I could I would give this place 6 !!!
