The overall forecourt is modern and stands out, which is typical of Texaco, I also like how they have InPost lockers here, where you can pull up and park right outside, which is becoming a more popular method from many companies who offer returns, as InPost lockers offer quick and easy contactless returns. The petrol is a little bit more expensive compared to Tesco and Asda locations, both of which are a short drive around the road, and the shop area could do with a refurb even if it is just basic twitches, as that doesn't seem to have been improved in years. 3* - OK, useful stop along Rochdale Road but really could do with a refurbishment and slightly lower petrol pricing.

The facilities are basic but pretty much what you'd expect including slightly expensive petrol, a store selling basic essentials, toilets, I do think a Subway or a food outlet would have been handy, but Starbucks is obviously great for coffee, plus if you're in a rush the convenience store (Spar) also has a coffee machine, meaning you can instantly get your drink without having to actually go inside Starbucks, but do visit the Starbucks too if you have a chance as it is a rather nice location. With the petrol station being Esso branded, you are able to collect Nectar points on fuel, as far as I'm aware this doesn't extend to other parts of the store meaning any groceries/coffee you buy, you can't claim points on. Pretty average service station in terms of facilities, They do seem to be missing a trick by not including Amazon Lockers, they do have them at Morrisons which is just over half a mile away but of course the hours are limited due to the store opening hours. 4*

The staff seemed pretty friendly in both the service station and the Subway inside, the shop was a tad expensive and the selection was slightly worse than other Shell garages but was still ample considering it is only a petrol station at the end of the day and a large Tesco store is only nearby, meaning you'll only be buying food here if in an emergency at night/in a rush so you pay for the convenience. The building was relatively clean, they also claim to have Amazon Lockers here but they do appear to be slightly hidden, I couldn't find them but they can be accessed 24/7 like the main store, which is handy. 3* - The location is very good for the town centre and the motorway, the service station isn't too bad.

This store is open all days, including Sunday's and accepts Nectar Cards. The store really stands out in the dark, as quite bright and actually is quite nice for a garage, as the store is very big and the petrol prices are good, especially if you consider it is a garage and it is BP, so I have to give 3 stars, I would of gave 4 but I am unfamiliar with it's car washing and jet washing facilities due to visiting in the dark and as far as I'm aware, it isnt a 24 hour store.

But indoors the mini supermarket is a useful spot for picking up those last minute forgotten items. For some reason though you can buy firewood! I'm struggling to add anything else, this store is okay and it is open 24-7 but due to some issues with the service, overall feel of the store and pricing I sadly feel this SPAR branch on Manchester New Road, deserves just two stars.
