He said if it happens again (which of course it did) to call and he would come out and check the roller. When I called, the receptionist who answered said I would be charged to send someone out. I asked for a supervisor. Jessica called me back and said this issue wasn't covered by the warranty. Total Blinds made a substantial profit from my order. Jessica said perhaps we were using that shade more than the one next to it. That wasn't the case. Even if that were true, the fraying shouldn't have happen ed if the shade was a quality product. Total Blinds and Jessica were a big disappointment! Don't waste your money if you want quality and a company who actually honors a lifetime warranty as advertised!

I told him the old screens were sent out in the trash all broken up but the other windows on the building are the same size. He said "get me the old screens and I'll replace them" as he's scurrying to his truck! I called him on the phone about the sash being all chiped up and the screens. No, they don't come out and service windows anymore (that was my first inquiry), but the nice lady on the phone at All-Pro Glass & Window/ScreenCo told me how to find a YouTube that explained my issue and said she'd also email me written instructions if I wanted. And she told me how to identify the parts I'd need. And that they had the parts I'd need in stock. And she gave me wise counsel about not doing a half-arsed job by cheaping out and only replacing the broken part (a block and tackle balance - you want to replace them both while you're in there) and she explained why. The YouTubes she referenced were all I needed. I zipped in to the store, handed her my old balance and was handed two new ones in less than two minutes. Ran them home and put them in, taking my sweet time but finishing in under five minutes. Total cost? Under $25. One-seventh of what the competitor quoted to come out and do it. A whole lot faster, too. You have to love having someone with professional level info steer you right, right away, the first time - and save you a ton of money, as well. We now know who to call for slightly weird window questions. Or any sort of window parts at all! I'm sure we'll be buying from All-Pro from now on.
