My daughter and I both needed to update our glasses prescriptions, so called in on the offchance that they could fit us into the schedule. They didn't have any appointments at that time, so we were given back-to-back appointments later that afternoon. I had been to AAE maybe 10 years ago, so I can forgive them for not having my original records. They did have both my daughters registered as current patients. The pre-appointment paperwork was not awful, though. I chose to take advantage of the retinal imaging, having had uveitis in the past. Dr. Sandra Whiteley did both of our examinations and was very friendly and approachable. Both of our examinations were thorough, and we were given plenty of time to check out the frames. There was a wide selection of frames to choose from, sectioned into plastic frames, metal frames, and designer. There is plenty of room to shop comfortably, and lots of mirrors so you don't have to fight with other customers for space. I'm glad I had my daughter with me though, sometimes the frames I thought were awesome were not the best suited to my face. I wish I could remember the name of the lady who helped us with our selections, she was friendly, knowledgeable, and explained our options clearly. The prices were clearly displayed, the cost of the options for the glasses were clearly communicated, and we were looked after well. Both my husband and I have been customers of All About Eyes since they opened in Bloomington, IL. We are senior citizens and live on a fixed income, do NOT have "eye" insurance and both of us wear glasses AND have medical conditions that impact our vision. On average, we purchase, at the minimum, a new pair of lenses annually. The staff, including Chris and Heather as well as Dr. Devore, have been more than helpful. Have we ever had a problem? Yes, one time my new glasses were just "not right". The vision correction I expected was not visible (bad pun, I know). I returned about 2 weeks after I had gotten the new glasses, explained my issues, was given a second exam and within 5 days new glasses had been made and were just right. For some reason, when the lenses were made, they were not made to Dr. Devore's prescription. Result? I had the lenses replaced with the correct script and walked out a great deal brighter eyed. Dr. Devore discovered both my husband's and my cataracts and my "after cataract" haze. He communicated with my opthamologist in Champaign, laser surgery was done and, once again, the problem was resolved in a timely and medically correct way. Will we go anywhere else? Absolutely not. After 15 years of great customer service, great pricing and, for us, a quality product, there is no need. If I sound like a "cheerleader", I am. I cheer only for the All About Eyes team. read more

I can't say enough great things about ALL ABOUT EYES! Everyone there was very friendly and nice but 3 people stood out the most to me. First Dr. Devore was very personable, nice and he answered all of my questions. Dr. Devore did a wonderful job during my exam. Next Brygida really blew me away! She took her time with me during this process and made it stress-free. Brygida understood my concern for wanting to pick two pairs of glasses that Id be happy with. She earned my trust (which is hard to do when I'm spending a lot of money) and Brygida was very very helpful. Brygida was very knowledgeable, asking me questions about each pair that I tried on. We really picked out TWO great pair and I am really excited to get them this coming week. Lastly Chris the manager was walking the floor and he came over shook my hand and asked me how my experience was going. It made me feel appreciated because great customer service is hard to find. I have been wearing glasses since I was 2 years old. After almost 30 years of wearing glasses I have become very picky as I should as this is a big investment. My puppy ate my glasses during covid 19 no less. I do not wear contacts or anything, so I was completely without glasses. I used to go to Walmart vision center until yesterday. I called and asked what I should do about the situation and they were very unprofessional. They cursed at me, told me my perscription was expired, and that I would have to wait until mid May before they would do anything, this happened on April 13. I understand there is a pandemic, but vision is essential. After calling around, I found all about eyes and they were great!!!! They faxed walmart and told them that they needed my perscrption and would not take no for an answer. They understand the importance of quick and quality customer service and they even gave me a discount for all of my troubles, even though it had nothing to do with them as a company! Wow! I went in for new glasses and opted for single vision lenses, and I received my glasses just 3 days later. After about a week, I realized that I depend on the bifocal for reading much more than I thought (or maybe just more than I had in the past). I went in and asked what it would take to get a new pair (in the same frames) with a lined bifocal. Because of their 90-day satisfaction guarantee, they only charged me the cost of adding the bifocal instead of making me pay for a whole new set of lenses (even though they had to make me a whole new set of lenses). So I only had to pay $16 to get the bifocal added, and I'll have the perfect pair of glasses! I was sure I was going to have to pay another $150 because I made the wrong choice when I ordered the lenses in the first place. I LOVE THIS PLACE! Appointments are easy to get an convenient times, the staff is super-friendly and knowledgeable, the prices are great, and the turn-around time on glasses is out of this world! read more

This was the first time I had walked into All About Eyes. I had a prescription for driving glasses. I have tried other places and they didn't care for the idea of prescriptions from other eye doctors. I did not have to wait but a minute and someone asked to help me. She was very nice, polite and knowledgeable and took me over to where I could choose the frames. When I had made my choice she was attending another customer but sent someone else right over. Stephanie was also very knowledgeable and polite and gently guided me through the process of my decisions and completed the sale while explaining everything. This process did not take very long ( I was expecting it to be much longer). She was very nice when I stopped her at near the ending and changed my mind. She also gave me an option for future use. If you're needing an eye exam, I would highly recommend scheduling an appointment. The store was very full and I was thinking "this is going to be a long wait". I had the best experience. I went Thursday to ask about scheduling an appointment and was able to speak with Heather the Co-Manager. She walked me through everything, pulled up my benefits figured the cost and made my appointment for Saturday (Yesterday). I even picked the frames that I wanted. I recently had to take my son in for an exam after visual changes were noted in school. The staff was amazing with my son! My son was nervous about the exam and the doctor had him laughing by the time we were starting to look at frames. We were lucky to get the floor manager helping us pick out frames. Do to the fact that I am a type 2 diabetic, per Dr.'s orders, i called several optometrist offices and couldn't get in for at least a month. I called All About Eyes and was able to get an appointment the same day. I received a quick and thorough eye exam. I was very satisfied with the assistance I received when selecting my frames. The woman who helped me was very knowledgeable, and made the process easy. I bought 2 pairs of trifocal sunglasses here. A trainee waited on me my first visit and told me I could get 2 pairs of sunglasses for the price of one and that I could have new lenses put in old frames. I ordered the first new pair and brought my old frames with me when I picked up the first pair. I was then told by a different salesperson that an additional $70 was required for sunglasses.
