It is incredible to me that they would be so unfriendly. The doctor has always been nice, but the staff is always so "bothered" to have to deal with you. They pound away on the computer for a great deal of time without talking, or asking you anything, just making assumptions...I've gone there for the last time. read more

The only positive experience was with the Optometrist. The rest of the staff is among the worse customer service I've ever experienced. The only reason I still go there is because they can take walk-ins or immediate appointments, otherwise I'd never go there again. I have gotten 2 pairs of glasses from them and the one had been such terrible quality that the first time I wore it, the lens popped off, then when I took it back for repair, they had to send it back for another 2 weeks totaling a month for that pair. Come to find several months later the lenses are completely cloudy and unusable ~ $250 AFTER INSURANCE wasted - good thing I ordered the secondary pair as a backup. I again went back a month ago, ordered another simple frameless pair of glasses (you would think it would be easier to make with no frames to fit into)...it is going on a month now and I still don't have my glasses. I've called 3 times now, the first time they just hung up without answering, the subsequent times I was given the excuse that the lenses need to be special ordered. I was very nice about it when I spoke to that same employee each subsequent time and asked nicely if she could either text or call or leave a vm to let me know if they ever arrive or what the status is and every single time she never called, so I have to call weekly just to hear her give the same excuse and never contact me. I hope Corporate reads these reviews and address the poor customer support. There are plenty of other eye centers in town that also accept insurance and I highly recommend that people go elsewhere. I am 100% thrilled with this business. I am a first time contact wearer and these ladies were right on the ball and so very patient with me. I have a very high degree of social anxiety and the women there had me laughing and feeling right at home. After 39 years I wear contacts and thanks to them wear them like it's first nature. I bought new glasses here a few months ago they were good glasses. I had them give me a copy of my prescription so I could order another pair of glasses online for work. They don't give you a measurement on your prescription called your pupillary distance. I went back to the store to ask for that for that number and they told me that number wasn't important and they use 60mm for everyone. I called the online company and they said that number is important I found an app to measure mine and it was 70mm I think they lied to me because they didn't like me buying glasses online. I took my Grandmother in for an eye exam and to get me frames. The customer service was beyond insulting. The lady helping us would mostly only speak to me, not my Grandmother. When they took her glasses to check her prescription, it took 3 people to figure out she wears trifocals. Anyone looking at her glasses could see this! The lady took 5 minutes explaining to my Grandmother the difference between plastic frames and metal ones, then proceeded to get examples of each to show her as if she were incompetent! Instead of getting to know my Grandmother and actually speak to her - they assumed she wasn't able to make decisions on her own. Blatantly disrespectful and rude! If they had taken the time to talk with my Grandmother, they would have learned she worked for an optometrist for over 20 years! When we went to order her glasses, 2 different associates argued with her about where to start the trifocals on the lenses. If I hadn't spoke up for my Grandmother, the associates would have ordered whatever they thought was best, completely ignoring my Grandmothers wishes. I had called the store to speak with the manager - the person who answered the phone did not want to transfer me to the manager. Asked me several times who I was and what this was in regards to. After speaking with the manager, Tyler, all he could say was "I'm sorry you had that experience." Apologies are great and all, but that's not going to change the way they treated my Grandmother or the way it made her feel. I was always taught to respect your elders. Apparently that isn't so at All About Eyes. This place is absolutely unbelievable with the way they treat patients. I will never go back and neither will my Grandmother. Their customer service is subpar and Corporate should be ashamed and embarrassed for hiring people like that to represent their company!! read more

I had good results before but the last time I didn't. I told them repeatedly I could not see well with the glasses I received. It seemed the prescription wasn't right. They did make a new pair of sunglasses but it didn't help. They kept telling me they were made according to the Dr's prescription. I finally figured out the measurements of the progressive segments aren't right. I have to keep adjusting my up and down to get clarity. I feel they owe me new glasses and lenses. ... And the Dr kept telling me I needed to tell him quicker which lens changes were the best. Older people need time to focus. He had on a plaid shirt and a polka dot bow tie. That should have been my first clue. He can't see either. read more

Stopped in for nose pad replacements on sunglasses. I bought them online, and when I was in Walmart I asked them to do it, saying I was happy to pay for the service. They quite rudely informed me that if I hadn't bought the glasses from them, they wouldn't even look at them. When I walked into All About Eyes, they immediately took the glasses, replaced and adjusted the nose pads, cleaned the glasses, and handed them back. They wouldn't accept payment or even a tip. There was a time when I would have recommended All About Eyes to anyone. Not anymore. My oldest needed new glasses and went with a Nike frame. After just 2 days, the frames fell apart. They did replace the frame, but within a week, the second frame fell apart. At the point, they were not so helpful. Accused my son of not handling them carefully enough, and they just could not keep replacing the frame. As much as those frames were, they should have held up better then they did. All About Eyes had the glasses longer trying to fix them than my son had them trying to wear them. By the third time, we finally had the problem fixed. This was not however before we were scowled at and told off by the girl at the front desk. I decided to give them another chance, so a few months ago, I took my youngest in for an exam. The girl there when we first arrived completely ignored us. We were the only ones in the store, but had to wait about 20 minutes until another employee got there to start work. In the mean time, the first girl talked on the phone for awhile, them talked to someone else who came in about "running with the wrong crowd, getting in trouble with the law, and loosing her license". Very unprofessional. We were basically on our own the entire time we were in the store. Other then the eye exam and taking my money, we had no help. Speaking of taking my money, All About Eyes ended up overcharging us. We have addressed it three times, and each time we were told the corporate office would send a check for the overcharge. They did tell us that we had a credit on the account. When I explained I just wanted the money back, they responded, "not a problem, a check will be issued". Well guess what, still no check. I doubt if I will ever see that money again. The All About Eyes in Quincy, IL has really gone down hill. My family will be looking for a new eye care facility. He helped me to find what I was looking for as well as a pair for using at work since I am looking a computer screens all day. He was quite helpful. I have purchased glasses from several places over the years and have found All About Eyes to be very service minded, customers being very important, giving the customer full attention with their needs as well as helping them save on their purchase. Would I pick All About Eyes again, yes indeed I would and I will let others know about the well rounded service that I received when I visited. My visit was such a success that I purchased 3 pair of glasses. I realized I saved money, but nothing is free but yet with the savings made to me it still felt like wow, I saved a great deal of money on this purchase and that goes to the well rounded service I was given by Tim on my visit yesterday. So now I will receive these glasses on Friday and in a few months I will follow up with a review on my purchase and let you know how these glasses are holding up. read more

This is the worst place I've ever went to get glasses. I've been wearing glasses for over 30 years now and I have never had such a bad experience with a Optical place. It first started out that my son and I had our eyes checked here. They didn't bother helping us with our frame choice and weren't every good at ording our glasses. When our glasses came in we could tell right off that the presciption was wrong but they told use to take them home, because it was because our prescription had changed. A week later and we still couldn't see out of our glasses so we had to go back, over 50 miles one way, so they could look at them. Then they had to schedule us an appointment to recheck our eyes, another trip there and back. Turned out that our prescription was wrong. So they reordered our glasses again. They were right the second time. Then I filled out a survey they sent me and gave them a bad review of course. The new manager called the next day and offered me a $50 in store credit and $50 rebate. Which was good. I was happy. Until a month or two later my lenses started getting scratches in them. After 6 months they were so scratched that I could barely see. My son's glasses didn't have a scratch on them but mine were really bad and i only used a lint cloth and eye glass cleaner on them. So then I have to take them back again. Of course they sent them back, but the whole problem is that I've never had this many problems with my glasses. I will never go back to this place and I wouldn't recommend it. Their frames are cheap made, their customer service sucks and the lab that they send their work to is of bad quality. Worst place ever. read more
