Full Disclosure; I have a small Tie Dye business whose products are sold at All About It. I'll do my best to give an unbiased review, but I do have a stake in the game. Having said that; my first visit to All About It was a several years ago, maybe 2012.... A close friend (more like a brother) brought me with to help him pick out a small spoon. At first glance, it doesn't look like much... The shop itself isn't huge, and about half of it is dedicated to artists other than glassblowers. They have handmade jewelry, clothing, incense, etc. Also, the glass for sale is all higher-end. At the time, I thought the prices were a little high for my taste, having perused shops like Pipes n' Stuff and Secrets downtown, and talked $450 pipes down to $300. When my friend bought the pipe, I told him I liked it, but I wouldn't spend that much on it. If I'd had as much disposable income or savings as he did, I probably would've gotten it, but I was hustlin' at the time and didn't really spend my money on art back then. What I did notice was a very Heady vibe... everyone there treated customers with respect, but didn't take any shit. If you come in talking about what Deals you can get Elsewhere, then they make it clear to you that you're not their target clientele. They don't need every hotheaded stoner coming in, talking shit, and trying to haggle over the price of Art that the proprietors themselves probably had a hand in creating or cultivating. If that's you, don't go to this shop, they don't want your vibes dirtying up their clean environment. It's run more like a family than a business. Only kind behavior will be tolerated, and you won't be manipulating their style with your measly dollars. But if you're in the market for HEADY glass and other art, You've come to the Right Place. read more

It was really refreshing to be educated on what I was buying vs. Just trying to be roped in. Not only do the sell you high quality glass they have extensive knowledge and experience to help you find what you want and need. Also have some really bomb raffles! I will for sure be returning. Lets Talk about why All About It gets a 1 star review. 1st. I called to see if they had Toro water pipes in and I get told They have the biggest selection of Toro or any glass in a 10 hour drive. (already turned off by this obvious "lie") 2nd. Once I got to the "smoke shop" I was amazed at how little they had to offer. Two cases filled with water pipes, maybe a handful of toro's (3-5) 1 illadelph, 2 roors and some semi-custom water pipes. I certainly didn't drive all the way out to this "smoke shop" to see nothing special but that's what I got. 3rd. PRICES. TALK ABOUT A RIP OFF. 900+ dollars for their most inexpesnive TORO. Are you kidding? Then they attempted to sell my friend a Luke Wilson tube for 350, when asking the gentleman who worked there why their prices were higher then ones we found online (aqualabtech.com) We were told buying smoking pipes online is ILLEGAL... what a load of crap. Not only did he outright lie to us on various occasions but then told us it was illegal to buy pipes online. 4th. Language. Dude it's a business I don't need to hear every Cuss word in the Planet I know you think you tubes are F*$#ing dope but you don't need to drop the F bomb like every other word its nonprofessional and ugly. and 5. They way he treated my friend when he asked for a better price. "would you do it for $300?" "Nope, No Fu$%ing way man" without hesistation. I mean a really GOOD business owner would have paused. Taken the offer into consideration and either counter-offered or kindly decline the offer. Instead we were treated with rudeness,disrespect, and quite frankly a sour taste in my mouth at least. To say the least I bought my blunt wraps (not available in Chicago) and left. not impressed much by what they had, their prices are RIDICULOUS. The staff or well the only guy there was rude as ever. THE ONLY good thing about this shop is they can repair glass...only problem is THEY usually CANT! Do yourself a favor if you want something custom go to Etsy. Do yourself another favor if you want to spend 500 bucks bring it to Chicago, Go to SECRETS and ask for a better price. you may have to haggle but you won't get treated like crap. and they have a selection that would beat the PANTS off this places.
