I met the owner of All About Security Agency in 2005 when I was managing two neighborhood commercial districts in Oakland. I hired them for nightly patrols in both districts and I was very happy with the quality of the service provided. I called in regards of a noisy neighbor, but I realized I called before 10 PM. The security dispatch asked if they could call back by 10 to see if the neighbors were still loud, and I said sure. Recommendations for clients to best benefit from All About Security Agency: 1) Apartment residents *must* call the dispatch phone number to best utilize this service, and 2) Apartment management may best consider posting the AASA phone number inside indoor common areas such as a laundry room, mail room, and the landing for each floor. In my apartment community, there is signage in the parking lot, exterior garage, and gates to the community pool. In my opinion, no one is going to run outside to look for the security patrol phone number to report suspicious activities that are immediately happening *inside* an apartment building at 2AM. 3) I recommend apartment residents to invest in a Ring doorbell camera to assist with any documentation process, if an apartment community does not have video surveillance in place. I have had a positive experience with the All About Security night patrol. They previously visited the apartment community on-call, to respond to safety or noise concerns. AASA has been able to follow up with calls from a different city within 30 to 60 minutes. There was a persistent problem in my apartment building, and over several months AASA officers Gonzalez, Simmons & Jefferson investigated and documented various concerns. They completed an official reporting process with apartment management. Fortunately it appears the AASA regularly attempts to communicate with apartment management. The AASA follow through addressed major safety concerns and noise disturbances occurring at night. I am confident that their help assisted with the eventual eviction of squatters protected by the extended COVID-19 moratoriums. It was a grave situation for several months: the squatters used drugs, invited homeless people into the apartment community, often smoked cigarettes and marijuana inside the unit and on the balcony (the second hand smoke wafted into adjacent units), and they carried sharp objects that could be used as weapons while they freely walked through apartment hallways at night. Dozens of phone calls were made to All About Security, and I am sure that dozens of reports followed, ultimately supporting a lengthy process that achieved a real resolution. (Note that this is just one situation that AASA effectively dealt with - there are more!) In summary, All About Security Agency performs best when apartment management and residents communicate, follow the process of calling the dispatch number, and document any incidents. Over time, following the process can address persistent threats to safety within an apartment community. read more
