It was a little higher than two other estimates we were given, and we did not authorize them to do the work. However, they came the next day and started trimming without authorization. The workers did not appear very professional and did not have safety harnesses. When my wife saw them she stopped them from working and asked them to leave. They had already left some clippings on our neighbors' yard and said they would clean that up. However, they left the clippings on our neighbors' lawn for us to remove. Very disappointing experience.

The big problem was that two of the trees were located in between my house and my neighbor's house as you can see in the pictures. One was in the front yard. Jesus and his crew of 15 showed up on time and by lunch they had safely removed the three cypress trees. Some estimates I received said they would take three days to do the job. Jesus also did a great job of grinding all of the stumps and removed all of the visible knees and elbows. Not only did they climb up on my roof with 0 attempt to contact me or ask permission, (I've been sitting in my office all day) they also dropped a large branch on my roof which caused some damage. I have to assume that they didn't intend to drop that 20 foot-long branch on my roof, but the bare minimum courtesy I'd expect is that they'd let me know my front and back yard would be covered in branches, and to request permission to access both. Absolutely absurd. Property damage, trespassing, no fall protection, and only 1 guy had any kind of PPE.

JD tree service sent someone out to estimate trimming…read more4 big trees, and bracing one (lifting a limb to a support beam to allow improved garage access). The estimate was higher than I hoped, but I agreed. They did a basic tree trim, and did not complete the job as agreed, specifically bracing a the heavy limb. Further, they expected full payment. I paid, as life is too short to argue these things. If they didn't want to perform the limb brace work, they should have told at the time of estimate. These guys are probably fine for basic trimming, but be clear on what you're getting. I've switched to a tree service from East Dallas that seems more expert at handling big trees. They do cable and brace work, and the cost per tree, of trimming, was the same. No other complaints with the trimming, but no question they could have handled it better in so many ways. At a minimum they should back up their estimates, or reach you that day if they are in over their heads. I Won't be back.
