The representative was very frank and straight to the point, so there weren't any concerns of upselling. Initially my gf and I were apprehensive about going to a service in Manhattan because of pricing reputation but we were very surprised and pleased by the quoted price. We needed a 11.25"x24"x1" and was quoted $26. By comparison, Home Depot machines can't cut below 12" and a comparable size would've been around double in price. Sometime went by before we confirmed and their establishment had moved to Jersey. Concerned we had to find a new store for a custom service, we contacted them through email and they deliver throughout nyc. The delivery was about $10 and worth it for the sheer point of not carrying lumber on the train. All in all, they'll be my first choice in the event I need another custom job

We were TOTAL newbies and had no knowledge of what renovations would take or where to start with picking out supplies. After visiting a number of places in Flushing (and trying to squeeze details and guidance from surly sales associates), Josh was a friendly breath of sunshine! He walked us around the showroom, explained differences in tile and cabinet qualities, and was very helpful with this recommendations and big no no's to watch out for. After they measured our place, they quickly sent estimates and nice 3D renderings of my husband's dream kitchen. They worked with our contractor seamlessly and our beautiful kitchen was born! Also, one of the cabinet doors came damaged, and Josh quickly expedited a replacement door. We highly recommend Josh, Kenny, and their team. Companies just don't get it…read more.. I placed an order with my sales person Al Totten for delivery yesterday anytime if he could get placed on time....or this morning would be ok.... His office sends me an invoice for COD, over 3500.00 worth of plywood material....nothing to fluff off.... and on the ticket it says 1/10 morning delivery.... Here it is 1240....no delivery....me,,,,the client,,,,,has to call the office to find out what's what.....I am out on hold for 3 minutes (long time when you're waiting) and the nice lady comes on and says "I'm trying to get ahold of the driver, and I am tracking him now....so he's in spring valley and then he has another stop in spring valley, and then he comes to you". I ask her "what happened to morning delivery, we have been waiting, we don't have a fork lift and have to do this by hand, we were supposed to get this in the morning". She politely tells me "he has a fork lift on the truck" ...I say " he won't be here until 3" and I get a polite apology...... She does not know that a fork lift does me NO GOOD....because there is no clearance for a fork lift at my site.... my sales rep knows this...and she does not know how dispatch loaded the truck....as a result the company has put her in a very uncomfortable place, as well as myself. I end the call.... As the customer.....what's my experience? Am I thinking...."they don't care", "they don't know" or "they don't know and don't care"????? So does the company send the driver out with the deliveries on a specific route, the truck loaded a specific way....or is it up to him which route he takes? Did they know it wasn't going to be morning delivery.....why wasn't I told,,,,why did I have to call???? I reach out to my salesman and I form him....he tells me once the order is out of his hands he has no control, not sure what happened but evidently dispatcher didn't get the message right or didn't read the ticket", " sometimes these things happen". So now he's in an uncomfortable spot.....what else could he say to me.... So again,,.what does Interstate want me to experience as their client? 1-15-18 UPDATE; After receiving a phone call from the owner of Interstate a very favorable discussion was had. I a grateful for him to reach out to me to discuss this and I am happy to say that our relationship is on the right track to being stronger thru respect and admiration from one business to another.... I will continue to seek the services of Interstate....things happen however they are a stand up organization... Thank you for reaching out and I look forward to growing my business with you as one of my suppliers!
