My dog is my son. I have no children of my own. My Black Miniature Schnauzer "Giuseppe" is named after my father because that was the best "Grandson" I could give him. My dog is my world. That fuzzy little yappy, bossy sack of shit is the most important responsibility I have, and I will take a bullet for him, any day. Having said that... You can imagine how choosy I'd be regarding picking Giuseppe's day care establishment. I did my homework. Once I found All American Pet Resort, I did a few "test runs" with them. They gave me the courtesy of showing me how the kennel is set up and ran, regarding group play times, nanny-cam locations (for safety and security), cleanliness, services they provide and high staff volume. Giuseppe stayed a few half-days to make sure he wouldn't freak out or kill a staff member. After that, we left him boarded for a week. The room we left him in provided nanny-cam views available on an app at anytime, so I could spy on him and make sure he hadn't killed anyone. The week was up and he did great! I drop Giuseppe off for day care once or twice a week, just about every week. The staff are phenomenal; true dog lovers. I would never recommend any other kennel for your pup. We used All American Pet Resorts for a week overnight. Our dogs were in the VIP suite which had camera access. We could see our doggies while we were away which made me feel happy that they were safe and cared for, but also made me miss them more! The facility was spotless, and the VIP suites were big enough for 3 pups to all comfortably stay together. Their new floors were clean and looked nice. I was impressed with how my dogs were eager to follow their staff even on their first day, and I felt the staff really got to know my pups. It was evident that the owner knew a lot about dog behavior and ensured our pups were well cared for. They were responsive by phone while I was abroad. I wish the cameras in group play were a bit sharper cause it was hard to tell which one is my dog, but nevertheless, a great experience. My dog Rosie and I really like this place. It is very well organized and they have plenty of staff to handle all of the dogs that come here. I went here years ago when my Shih Tzus were very old and I was looking for a place that would allow the dogs longer rests between play times. Now I have a 5 month old puppy and they all treat her like she is one of their own. It is always best to have reservations, like most places, but All American Dog Resort has always helped me out when I came in last minute. My dog Jack was recently diagnosed with diabetes and is elderly. I urgently needed a place to board Jack for more than a week but with his diabetes it's very difficult to find boarders and he can be a picky eater in places he's not used to. Glen, Joycelyn, Claire and the rest of the team did an amazing job even when my dog was being picky about eating and providing his insulin and medication. They hand fed him, encouraged him to eat and gave him special attention. Not every boarding place will do this much accommodation but in my situation Glen accepted Jack and I'm so grateful. Our journey started 8 years back when we meet Glen in NJ Convention Center. AAPRNB is by far the best Dog boarding place I have ever found. Clean, no crate, glass wall, personal care, listen to customer, 24/7/365 service, webcam, 24 hours human interaction, piece of mind, comes home clean, what else you need. Oskar (English Retriever) thinks this is his vacation house. Everybody loves him. Glen the owner knows about his Dogs by name and can accommodate according to your need. Unfortunately in one incident, due to us, not booking in advance, Oskar had to go to other daycare center in Metuchen and we had horrible experience of unhealthy environment that he stayed, so book early and get the best service, you will not regret. What else I can say. We drive 15 miles each way for the best care for Oskar. Thank you Glen and your team for taking care of my furry friend Oskar. read more

As owners of bully breed dogs we often find it difficult to find establishments willing to board or allow our dogs in camp. This is no fault to our dogs but to the ignorance of the facilities and their insurance policies. All American does not discriminate against breed in fact they seem to love bully breeds. It is owned by a husband and wife team who are both super nice, attentive. I called a few times to check in and my vm were promptly returned and I didn't feel as though I was a nuisance. The cameras are great to watch your dogs play, but it is hard to see most views to the kennels. Our dogs came home smelling like roses, they got baths before we picked them up. One of the best parts was looking at all the photos they take of the dogs during playtime. They get posted to the All American FB page. My husband would show me them. It was the highlight of the day for us since we were away from the boys. :) We only have two recommendations: 1. Online questionnaire where owners can provide information on feeding, obedience, likes/dislikes, socialization, medication or behavior problems, etc. I have completed this at other facilities and I think it's quite useful. While we discussed w Glenn and Otis at length about our dogs the ability to remember all that information has to be difficult w so many clients. 2. The drop off and pick up proved frustrating for us if other clients were arriving. Handling 2 dogs and putting on harnesses or collars is difficult when they want to sniff and say hi. I think having a separate area or an enclosed partition would be helpful since you never know how a dog will react to new dogs, people, kids, etc. the first day I picked up, both my boys were released into area w 2 children there. my bigger guy could have knocked over them both with his happy tail alone. As an owner I try and protect and keep safe my dogs and those around them. Just think it might be useful. Overall the facility was clean, and staff extremely nice. Location easy to find. I have two gregarious and highly-energetic dogs (AmStaff and APBT-mix), both of which can be a handful if placed under unexperienced care. My review is based on 3 separate "extended stays" (of 3-5 days each) and my interactions with Clare, Glenn, and Matt - each of whom provide exceptional care. Their team understands us crazy dog people. Between DC, Maryland, and New Jersey, All American Pet Resorts of North Brunswick has been second to none in offering exceptional service on the following measures: -Communication with dog owner (super responsive to e-mail correspondence on matters of both substantive and superficial concern); -Quality of facility and video/webcam infrastructure; -Policies and procedures (requiring beyond the "bare minimum" in vaccinations/immunizations; thorough disclosures when booking) -Professionalism and dog behaviorist orientation of staff members (i.e., the staff members understand pack behavior and they make appropriate grouping and play-time adjustments based on the needs of their 4-legged guests!); one of my dogs is occasionally "hump-crazy" and they take appropriate action by removing him as part of obedience training/ incremental socialization; -Competitive pricing (it won't be the cheapest option out there, but peace of mind is priceless!) All American staff and facilities have more than exceeded my expectations. We have a new rescue puppy as of a few months ago. We were very skeptical of leaving her overnight for the first time in a new place and in strangers hands. However, the service we were shown by All American was fantastic, friendly, and caring for our pup. The best feature of the pet resort is hands down the VIP experience which includes a private camera of our dogs suite in addition to the general cameras of the play areas. Very happy with the care my dogs receive here. The people really care about the animals and their well being. Glenn took lots of time talking to me before their first stay. My younger dog had some GI issues and he called me to discuss how he was managing the issue. She no longer has any trouble during her stays, so I guess she feels safe and happy. Our pet stated here. He got a terrible Kennel cough from the American Pet Resort. I called to tell them that and they explained that their facility is clean and air filter is working well. Unfortunately our poor dog has a whooping cough. We paid for the Vet & Medicine to get him well and he is still suffering from the respiratory lung infection caused due to staying at this resort. Be careful before you board here. When I asked for any compensation to pay for the Vet or the medicine, the person completely refused to accommodate stating that I brought my dog at my own risk. He continued to state that and I am the first one to call back about this so he is happy about that this is one case only. I'm sure these things happen to dogs from boarding but I didn't hear any ounce of compassion from the person who was on the phone. No apology, no concern. read more

Ladies and Gents, Just a little heads up if you use or are considering using 'All American Pet Resorts' in North Brunswick, NJ. My Husband and I went away for a long weekend this past weekend leaving our two dogs at this boarding facility for the first time. Within 24 hours, my husband called to check in on our girls only to find out from one of the owners, Melanie Shapiro, that our five year old was on her way back to the facility from the vet. We were told that another dog lunged at her and she received a staple in her back for one small bite as a precautionary measure and that she was completely okay. We told the owner we would have a family member pick up our dogs, as we were six hours away, but she assured us our pup was fine. She also claimed she called but we never received the call. ONE phone call for an emergency? And they didn't call my husband who is listed as the emergency contact. After two days of us calling and being reassured our dog was doing well, we rushed home to be greeted by a staff member who didn't know our dog was injured, so we requested he call the owners for us to speak to. We expected to be told the details, what care she was provided and when the one staple should be removed. Instead the other owner, Glenn Shapiro over the phone told us he wasn't expecting us at our time of arrival and after a few minutes of questions hung up the phone on me. After getting our dogs back it couldn't be any clearer our dog was ATTACKED. The one small bite we were told about, turned out to be multiple bites on her back, one with a staple, a large bite on her behind, and a staple in her genitals!!! WHY weren't we told of her entire physical state? HOW does this happen if they are being supervised? And why were we lied to by the owners of this facility??? We understand accidents can happen but we were misleaded and the owners of this place are dishonest and unprofessional. We would have rushed home and had our dogs picked up immediately! I'll spare you the photos of her stapled gentials and behind. We are happy to have her home, resting. I am not one to rant or carry on and I have never ever posted anything negative but people should know and be warned of how this place is run and how the owners handle emergencies. Our dogs are a part of our family and I hope this never happens to anyone else. This place deserves ZERO stars. read more

I had a friend who used to work here and they told me that if the dog made a mess with their water bowl that they would not give them water. They also promised play time for all the dogs but if the dog is either humping and or not listening they keep them cooped up in a small room. She said that there was a pitbull there for 2 weeks who was not eating and was basically going crazy by doing backflips off the walls. The dog clearly needed attention because when she want inside his kennel and started to pet him he would stop shaking and going crazy. She said the boss was also not very friendly read more

This place is seriously the best. I am extremely picky about who I leave my girl with. She is still a puppy and very apprehensive around new men, so the first time she went to daycare I was nervous. I must have checked the cameras (which are a huge plus) 100 times throughout the day. It is clear that the staff here is extremely well trained to deal with different dogs and issues, and has given my girl time to warm up and trust them. We love All American! They take great care of our dog both in daycare and boarding. They know her personality and they know our family. They are always friendly and flexible. On one occasion they told us that our dog had seemed anxious in a larger enclosure than usual so they had moved her to her usual smaller space. We so appreciated their looking out for her. All American works with the rescue where we got our beagle, so they understand the quirky needs of dogs that grew up in a research setting. I would recommend them without hesitation. One tip for daycare is that once you are comfortable, buy a package for visits. It saves a lot of money. Our dog is so happy when she comes home from playing with her friends! read more

All American Pet Resorts's staff and facility are the best. We have boarded our Havanese puppy there 3 times since June 2020 and we are pleased with the level of care and comfort for our puppy. The latest stay was last minute, when I dropped off the pup he jumped out of my arms to go with the attendant and did not look back, he was happy to be there. The cameras are great to watch the dogs play and see them in their pens, and the care our dog receives is the best he is clean and content. My Boxer, Laila, just spent 10 days (July 3-13) at All American Pet Resorts and we couldn't be happier with the service. She has stayed a few times before but this was her first really long stay with us out of the country. Every time we checked the cameras, she was happy in her suite or at play. I love that we can email Glenn and we get a "report card" at the end of her stay. And they even post pictures of the dogs at play on Facebook. She was happy to see us, but not dying to leave so that's a great testament to the wonderful time she had. She even got a "spa day" on her last day - bath and nails. My dogs are my life ! They have stayed here many many times over the last few years. Glenn and his staff are the most professional, courteous and competent people you could ever meet. They follow my instructions to the "T". Even when my German Shepherd was on a complicated medication they took it in stride and had no issues with it at all. My dogs are always clean and well cared for when I pick them up. I usually email them every couple of days and within minutes they respond and let me know how the dogs are doing, which is always great! I would never leave my dogs with anyone else, except family. I only have great things to say about this place. Glenn and Melanie and the rest of the crew are great with the dogs. My little Twinkie had a tummy problem while she was there(not their fault, Twinkie chews on things). Melanie made sure that she was well taken cared of like she was their own. We downloaded the app so we can view Twinkie anytime. We saw the staff's dedication, wether it's 7am or 10 pm we always saw somebody checking in on the dogs, not to mention the playtime where we saw our little princess enjoying playing with other dogs. Our puppy is 6 months old. We brought him to the All American Pet Resort for 5 nights while we were on vacation. He had never previously been away from us over night. While calling to check in on Yogi, Glenn informed me he was intimidated during his first play time so he was brought back to his kennel and will be given play time later with a smaller group. Yogi adjusted quickly. Glenn continued to tell me to "call anytime." The times he needed to return my call, it was obvious that he went to check on Yogi before calling back. We recently took our 7 month old puppy to All American Pet Resorts, located in North Brunswick, NJ. As this was Ginger's first time, we were naturally a bit nervous about how she would do. Since she has not been socialized with many dogs, we were concerned. Given her size of 7lbs, we did not know if she would be intimidated or frightened or if she would mix in with the other dogs. All of which are much larger in size. After a 1/2 day daycare session to get her acclimated, she was ready for a 3-night stay. We are very pleased with Ginger's treatment. They treated her like she was their own dog. In fact, on one occasion, we could see someone stop by her room to pick her up and gave her a big kiss and hug (one of the big advantages of staying at a resort with an in-room camera and cameras throughout the play areas). Watching numerous times, we often saw the staff cleaning, scrubbing down the facilities, cleaning the resort rooms, putting down fresh pee-pads (as needed). In addition, we also found the staff and policies are not as rigid as other pet hotels in the area. We were allowed to bring her crate, 3-4 toys, etc... One thing to mention is they really appear to stick to a schedule. Ginger was fed on time and close to the same time daily. Two 1 and 1/2 hours play time were included with the price. Because Ginger is a tiny puppy (7lbs) she appeared to be overwhelmed at times but again the staff always had an eye on her, picking her up and reassuring her that everything was ok. After a bit of first visit jitters, she settled in and it appeared she mixed in well. Besides Ginger's in-room camera freezing a few times, the facilities are clean, well staffed, and met all our expectations. We are definitely going back and we look forward to our family vacation this summer and plan to use All American Pet Resorts for our next trip. Thanks to Glenn (the owner), Matt, Claire, and the rest of the staff for taking good care of Ginger. I hope we can see some videos or photos of Ginger playing in a group next time she stays there. I have no worries when I leave him there, almost as if I am leaving him with family. Glenn and Melanie are great people and are very responsive when I call to check in. I'm not a review writing type of guy, but I wanted to help inform other dog owners about this place. My sister's dog was there for an extended stay, it seemed to go fine, but since she picked him up he's been different. And one of the worst differences is that he's now peeing and pooping in the house. He never did this before, and he's 4 years old. We asked the vet and he said that maybe during his kennel stay maybe he didn't go out enough. My sister asked the place about this, but they didn't indicate anything that seemed bad. However, we contacted the local board of health and they informed us that this place is prohibited by the town from letting the dogs out before 10am and they can't go out either after 6pm. I wish my sister had known about this. I feel really bad that her dog had to wait until 10am and probably was forced to go where he slept. This place may be good for some. but I wanted others that were considering it to be aware of this limitation so they can make an informed decision and avoid un-potty training their dogs. read more
