This review is long overdue! I used All Borough for my 60th birthday party last September and I can honestly say it was one of if not THE best experiences I've had with ANY company ever. I was not expecting them to have everything I needed, and they did. They accommodated my evolving list of items and inconvenient time windows required by the venue. The customer service via email, phone and in person was absolutely top-notch - quick and helpful. Unless you want to be embarrassed and have your guests point out how dirty the equipment you rented is(and paid $800 for), I would take your business elsewhere. Was appalled when they delivered the tent and the delivery driver said they had no other tents available. They also wanted to weigh down the tent with dirty dingy looking bins, not sure how they don't have something else to do that. The drivers were so nice I felt bad. My party was the next day so didn't really leave me any time to find a new company. I sent photos and contacted the company to no avail. The chairs were dirty as well. It looked like the tent was rented out to a frat house for a year then rolled up and left in a pile of dirt. Pathetic. read more

I am giving them 3 stars because the entire experience was fine until the post rental invoice which was sent without any explanation -- $ 120 for a missing chafing dish. I called them to find out what is this. They said that one dish was missing. I was there when people came to pick it up. They counted everything, and no questions was asked. The woman said she'll call back. When she did, a chafing dish miraculously has been changed to an insert, and a price went down to $15. However, we had nothing on our side. Most likely it was misplaced or... something else, considering a weird situation with "confusing" a $120 chafing dish with $15 insert. We rented it for a big event at work. We don't need an insert, either a chafing dish. I personally made sure everything was packed. Anyway, be aware, especially if you request a big rental. Not a pleasant experience. read more

Everything was fine until pickup time came around. They were responsive and helpful with placing the order. If I was rating the process of ordering through delivery I would have given 5 stars. However, the customer service after that has been not great. Rented from them for my daughters birthday party which was on a Saturday. Pickup time was scheduled for 9-12 on Sunday. The business where the party was was closed that Sunday and MLK day Monday so I had to pay someone to be there for the pickup. The driver called 5 mins before pickup window ended to tell me they would be 30 mins late. I told them no one would be there and they would have to return on Tuesday. While they told me they would not charge me anything extra for the two additional days (this should be obvious coz It was their fault), they would not agree to refund any part of the delivery fee, even though I had to unnecessarily pay someone for their time to be there for the delivery window that they missed completely. read more

I used these guys to rent dishes, utensils, linens, serving trays, steel chafers, etc. for a high-end corporate cocktail hour/dinner event in lower Manhattan and cannot emphasize enough how great they were to work with. My delivery guy, Darek, called to let me know when he was close to the site (both on the delivery and pick-up end) and even made a special mid-day delivery to my office on his motorcycle with a couple of small items that had been left at the warehouse. Mentioning this specifically not to highlight the missing items (we would've been fine without them) but because I think it's a great example of how this company is clearly willing to go way out of their way to resolve minor issues. Prices were great, everything was done on time, everyone I spoke with was friendly and helpful...will definitely use them again and highly recommend! I used them for a corporate roundtable event, so obviously the setup was key in making the event a success. Though I didn't use literal roundtables, the point was to have a setup that allowed people to feel involved. I had tons of questions about linen sizes and some special requests, but they provided great recommendations, were patient and got everything correct. The delivery came right on time (they gave a window of 10am-12pm and the guy arrived around 10:08). The delivery guy was fast, super friendly, and professional. I received everything as requested and the linen were cleaned, pressed, and shrink wrapped neatly. If I had to be picky, there are 2 things I'd point out. 1. the lady on the phone can be a bit short. I understand we're not here to chit chat but being a little more friendly would not hurt. She wasn't mean at all! Just not warm. It can be off-putting for some. 2. They don't usually answer the phone on the first call, but they always got back to me very quickly. Overall, wonderful and dependable company. I will be using them again. Highly recommend! read more

At 5:30pm on a Saturday, I received an email from the rental company I had been working with that due to a technical glitch, they were cancelling my rental order for a party the next day at noon. In a panic, I googled rental companies and each one was either closed or scoffed at my request for tables and chairs on such short notice. Then I called All Boro and Donna answered. She was very helpful, allowed me to take my time to explain what I needed and even gave me her cell phone number so that I could reach her "even during dinner" if needed to ensure all was set up correctly. Her driver showed up on time and was courteous (drivers I've dealt with from other companies are often curt and appear annoyed to be there). It was a true miracle that we found these guys! We needed a tent on a pretty short notice (ordering on Tuesday for a Saturday event) and not only they provided the tent and the heater, they also had the driver come in to check out our space for no extra cost. So we contacted and made an order for my son's 2nd birthday party. We placed the order about 4 weeks in advance. We got a confirmation order number and all. The woman reached out and asked where in the park it was so I sent a screen capture of where it would be and where the entrance is. We discussed the time for pick up and that it would be an extra $90 for delivery because of the hills in the park. I said this would be okay and even added some more items to my order. She also said we would pay when the men arrived at the park. The day of the party I call at around 11, which is the time they said they would deliver. The woman who picked up couldnt find mine or my girlfriends name for the order. After giving her our LITERAL ORDER NUMBER, she said that it wasnt a confirmation but rather just a quote (even though the email doesnt say that and myself and the woman and despite constant communication on phone and e-mail where I told her we were ready to move forward) and that they wouldnt be able to deliver to us. I explain this is literally my son's 2nd birthday but she did not seem remorseful at all. I even went back through my emails to make sure that I made it clear (and I did) that we wanted to have their service. She said we never made it explicit we wanted to confirm. So even despite constant communication on phone and e-mail, the people at All Borough never saved our order as a confirmation and tried to put the blame on us. Luckily we found another place to rent from and even though All Borough pushed our party back 3 hours, we still made it happen for my son. But we will never use them again and I advise others against it as well. The sheer lack of remorse was enough. read more

I rented tables/chairs and some other items to be delivered to an art gallery in LES for my husband's surprise 40th birthday party. I placed the initial order back in December and was able to make changes based on the number of people I was expecting just a week or so before the party. I paid extra for same day drop off and pick up and the driver was right on time for both the drop off and pick up and was very fast and efficient at getting all the furniture in and out of the space.
