THEY SHOWED UP TO DELVIER CHAIRS 30 MINS INTO MY RECEPTION! Thanks to Chiavari Chair Rentals, I had to use dingy brown chairs during a metallic-themed wedding ceremony and reception. You might be tempted by the savings, but trust me. You get EXACTLY what you pay for. Chairs will make or break you wedding décor. The chairs were important to me and I did my due-diligence to avoid an issues. Part of this was paying, in full, weeks prior and asking for delivery on a Thursday night (1 day before my Friday wedding). I dealt with Andy who refused, saying that he was delivering to a wedding the prior evening (on a Thursday night? Uhm okay fine?). Despite my better judgment and his delayed emails, I agreed. Andy and the hotel planner agreed on 12pm delivery Friday, day of, giving plenty of time before my 5pm ceremony and 6:30pm wedding reception (same chairs used in both). For delivery purposes, they had the ENTIRE MORNING AND (if an emergency happens) MOST OF THE AFTERNOON from their warehouse in NYC to deliver chairs to my wedding in Greenwich, CT. That's not that far. Mind you they list New Jersey, Connecticut, Maryland, Virginia, Washington DC, Florida!!!! and Illinois as delivery locations. So CT should be easy. Day of wedding. 12pm....1pm.....2pm...... No one can reach Chiavari Chair Rentals or Andy. Delivery was supposed to be at noon... Finally he responds VIA EMAIL at 3pm (dosent even have the decency to call) saying that his delivery guys got into some crazy car accident (Uhm okay?) and that they will still make it before the ceremony which begins at 5pm. To make a long story short Andy kept changing his story in the emails and his guys arrived to deliver after the reception already started - still trying to pawn off the chairs and keep my money. We refused - our guests were already seated. I was later given a full refund almost 3 weeks after my wedding. Bottom line is that these people are not professional. They don't plan ahead, or leave early. They will lie, avoid you and sacrifice customer experience to get as much business as possible. So shady. Lesson learned: Spend the extra money and go with a reputable business for anything you can't make or deliver yourself. read more

I read the Yelp reviews and despite everyone's comments about how evasive this guy Andy is, I decided to give him a shot to provide chairs for my wedding. I reached out to the company via email and received a very rough quote ONE MONTH LATER without an explanation about the delay (red flag #1). I was searching for a reliable chair rental company for a clients wedding that I have been planning. I came across Chivari Chair Rentals. I found them on Weddingwire.com and I was pleased with all of the positive reviews. I immediately contacted Andy to reserve 250 Gold Chivari Chair with White cushions. The booking process was simple and efficient. However, the real issues began two weeks prior to the wedding. I found a couple of negative reviews on Yelp in regards to white cushions being stained and dirty. I immediately contacted the owner with my concerns. He assured me that the cushions would be BRAND new and clean. Fast forward to the day of the wedding, I was not pleased at all! 50% of the cushions had dirt on them and some even had red juice stains! An hour later the set up staff replaced these horrible cushions with "cleaner ones". Buyer beware as you may be getting exactly what you pay for with these cheap Chivari Chairs. read more

Overall we were pleased. They were courteous quick and efficient in set and breakdown. They made efforts not to disturb setup already in progress. The chairs provided were as advertised. I was very excited when I ran across this company that carried the chairs I wanted for my daughter's bridal shower at an affordable price. I was so happy to see that it also serve the Connecticut area. But to my disappointment when I spoke with Andy thru text he stated the only way to serve Norwalk CT is if I book a minimum of 120 Chairs Which I only need 60 to 65. I found this to be very misleading. I feel if an hour drive is out of your reach then the ad should state a minimum order of 120 is needed for out of Brooklyn delivery or he should just remove Connecticut off of the area's he serves. so, for this reason, this company gets one star from me and I wouldn't recommend them I live in Brooklyn and have plenty of friends that have events large and small but I would not recommend this company due to the false advertising read more

So I called this company and spoke to Andy. I told him that I wanted 120 chairs for a June wedding. He quoted me $150 for delivery. I told him I was still comparing prices so he said to go online to the website and request a quote. A week later I sent the request and received a quote. They then charged me $200 for delivery. So I emailed them asking why the delivery costs increased, and Andy responded by saying that I must have confused them with another company! So I took a screen shot of my call history and sent it to them...which clearly showed the company's number and told them that we spoke. He responded saying he will do me a one time favor and charged me the reduced price but now I must pay the full price now for a June wedding!!! They were clean and in good condition. This company was pretty much the cheapest I could find for chair rentals. The only downfall is they had to drive from New York to Connecticut and were a little late bringing the chairs due to traffic which wasn't a big issue. My family who attending my wedding on a Saturday also said the traffic was pretty bad. The wedding ended at 10:30 and pickup time was 11 and I was there to about 11:30-11:45 and they hadn't come yet. I would just make sure the drop off time is early enough if they have a long drive because you never know what Saturday traffic in NY will be like. Brides beware! I just rented these chair for my July 20th wedding and the white cushions were all stained, dirty, and disgusting! I tired to flip them over but the other side was even worse on most cushions! I was so upset and felt horrible for my guest having to sit on them. You get what you pay for with these chairs. The owner and workers didn't do anything to help with the dirty cushions the day off nor did we receive any reimbursement for our dissatisfaction. We tried for about a month until finally he got back to us about a week from our wedding. Andy said he had been on vacation. Our next contact regarding this vendor came the day before the wedding (9/4) when our venue called us to let us know that the chairs and dance floor had been delivered but that the quality was below their standards. The venue counted 16 chairs that were broken, damaged, or with major paint missing. The venue contact Andy who then delivered some replacement chairs the day of the wedding. The other issue was the dance floor. It was such low quality (some type of rubber material) that we considered not even using it. The dance floor was dirty, held together on one side with black duct tape, and very low quality. It is one of the only things in our wedding pictures that we are disappointed with and unfortunately, a good number of your wedding pictures are taken on or around the dance floor.
