This dentist is rude and unprofessional. I've been going to him for over a year now and recommendEd my family and friends to him. But his work is rushed and not good. He filled my teeth a couple months ago and part of the filling came out. Now everything I eat gets stuck in that space. I called the office to let them know and was told I might have to pay out of pocket. Why do I have to pay if your filling fell out. Anyway, I get to the office and Dr Shroff comes into the room so arrogantly saying he can't do nothing. He even told me to go to another dentist to put more filling. How unprofessional is he. There are many good dentists you can go to in this area. I would not recommend going to dr. shroff. He is very commercial. He will tell you one price but when you're in the chair (after most of the procedure is done) will tell you the price covers something that will not look good and you should go for the much more expensive one. there is no transparency in the office. He fails to explain things and doesn't really care if you're happy. He just wants your money. on top of that the front desk staff is terrible.Too many times i've booked an appointment and i'll come on time but they say my appointment is another day. She wrote it on the dang card... i came on the correct day. Also the dental assistant that worked on me was very rude. she was also trying to sell me on a bunch of things and mocking me in the process... seriously, there are so many other dentists in the area... Worst dental office I have ever been to. I have been in medical field many years, had never written a bad review for any medical staff. But I have to write a review for this office. Very rude especially the front desk staff, not clean enough for my dental care, not professional. My kids asked me few times to change dental office (my whole family has been with this office for about 2 yrs). Better stay away from this office. There are more dental offices around, and much better. This office cancelled our my kid appt, did not even say "sorry", then asked for extra money for our 10 min lateness (actually we were not late, they probably moved our appt from 1:45pm to 1:15pm, and did not tell us any change). He doesn't match the fillings to your tooth color and rushes the work. His front desk staff is always on the phone and don't attend to walk ins. My fillings discolored after one week. The dentist is great and is fast...but the staff is another story. There was a time where they booked someone on my spot. There's another time I called for a walk-in and after I came in she claims there's an emergency fee...im like what ? Okay then I'll schedule an appt...then she clarifies herself again and goes no I mean it falls in this category of payment....I definitely think since they aren't fluent in English there's a language barrier and therefore an issue with the staff all the time. read more

Shady office. If you ever use them because they accept your insurance (like I did), then just be VERY careful about the legitimacy of their advice and billing practices; make sure to review every document before signing anything. I visited the office in March 2017 for a routine check-up and one of the dentists (Pratix Shroff), who I have seen in the past, suddenly claimed that I grind my teeth when I sleep and needed a night guard. I am over 65 years old and this is the very first time any dentist, including Dr. Shroff, has ever once suggested this. However, he told me the cost would only be $78 to me because my insurance company would cover the balance. I agreed, he took the mold and said it would be ready in a few weeks. When I later returned to pick up the guard at the office, I was told that I had a balance so I gave the receptionist my credit card (assuming it was going to be $78). I just signed the receipt and left. It was not until I got my monthly credit-card statement that I realized I had been charged $278. When I called the All Bright to explain the error, the receptionist was rude and dismissive. She took the attitude that 'you already signed the receipt, so too bad,' which, while horrible customer service, was of course true. I contacted my insurance company about this last month and was informed that it mailed All Bright Dental a check for the service but they had not cashed it; very suspicious. A few months previously, Dr. Shroff told me that I needed a post, but suggested I get one of 'higher quality' than the one the insurance company would pay for. Of course, this cost me an additional $75 out of pocket. Thinking back; this up-charge was most likely nonsense, so I should have already suspected that they engage in questionable activity. Like I said; if you use them out of necessity be prepared for attempts at needless up-sells and review every form carefully before signing! read more

I hardly ever write negative reviews however, people like "Dr." Schroff are the reason I have lost faith in humanity. I came in for a cleaning and he had me convinced I needed an x Ray. I was charged $100 copay for the x Ray instead of the $25 I would have paid without it. He called me in the next day, saying that I needed three fillings. He charged me $25 copay for each filling. That might sound unconscionable however, that was just the beginning.He waited until I was in the chair with my mouth open to inform me that unless I paid him $100 on top of my $75 copay, my fillings would be metal. If I wanted white fillings I would have to pay the extra $100. It is important to understand that medical professionals are in a privileged position to directly make a positive impact on people's lives. What a shameful display. Beware! This is not the place for anyone! I am not a confrontational person and I was a dedicated patient. I never write reviews as I believe that everyone has various experiences due to different situations & circumstances ]. However, I felt like it was imperative to share my experience with those who are looking for a dentist as it is an absolutely important decision to pick the right one. Ive been a patient of Dr. Shroff's for about 5 years when I moved to NHP. As he became my family dentist and I let my guard down overlooking many instances that would concern any normal person, I truly trusted that he would always take care of me fundamentally as his patient. I was ABSOLUTELY WRONG. Unless he is not reaping some kind of benefit or charging an arm and a leg for his services, he does not care for his patients one bit. His staff wins the gold medal for being rude, unhelpful and absolutely clueless to their jobs but most aware of everyones personal business/gossiping. Due to his staff's error and inability to provide my insurance company with proper billing records in a timely fashion, I was forced to pay over $200 out of pocket for a procedure that should have been covered. I overlooked this as I was told the girl was no longer with them and that Dr. Shroff was losing a greater amount due to the error and my procedure so I sucked it up. Many of those that I referred had complications after his rushed and sub par work and shared with me that the dentists they had gone to afterwards were super surprised with the work and how the fills had to much of a hang. Even more the waits are absolutely atrocious. However, I was trying to be a dedicated patient and give him the benefit of the doubt, He was also only a few mins away from my home. Recently I came to find out that I needed a root canal in one of my molars and only an endodontist would be able to complete the procedure. Listening to Dr. Shroff, I found a suitable endodontist who happened to be my best friends cousin. He completed the root canal and placed a temporary fill-in until my next scheduled appointment to complete the post and crown. He was going to give me a great rate if started and completed the entire process for the tooth with him which I decided to do. Dr. Shroff was still my dentist and I planned to continue having him as such. Unfortunately my temporary fill had come out but I was scheduled for a cleaning at Dr. Shroffs office. When I went the amazing hygenist at Dr. Shroffs office was able to do my cleaning and temp filling which took her all but one minute. Dr. Shroff was up next and doing a routine check up of my teeth. At first Dr. Shroff stated "oooo you only needed to get your root canal done there, the rest (post and crown) you do with me" but when I told him I would only get a good deal if I did all three with him even he was impressed with the deal and stated that it was a great deal. Had Dr. Shroff been able to do my root canal I would have more than gladly used my dentists services. Once again today my temporary fill in came out and the office hours of the endodontist was not accommodating to my work schedule, they close at 5 every day. Additionally, I will be going away for work in two days and now I have a gap in my tooth. I called my dentist, Dr. Shroff, whose office is only one minute away from my home and office hours are till late, to see if he would be able to put a temporary fill until my next appointment as it only would take a minute of his time. The receptionist said that they had absolutely no time for me and that it is not his responsibility to place a temp fill for me even if it was an emergency. I am not sure how that is possible, if it is not his responsibility as my dentist, whose responsibility it is? And if the situation was around money I would have gladly paid to ensure my tooth was protected until I returned from my trip. I wouldve gone anytime & paid anything. I decided to retrieve my records and chose a different dentist so I went in today to do just that. Dr. Shroff did not care to speak with me or address my concern as I could hear him laugh out loud and talk nonsense as he usually does. There was all but one patient waiting outside in the waiting room when I arrived, proving hard for me to believe that he did not have a minute to assist me with my situation. Not only is Dr. Shroff unprofessional in his manner with dealing with his patients, he really does not care. He is constantly pushing for quantity over quality. The irony in all this is the negative comments and scenarios mentioned in other reviews are absolutely true and Ive experienced it firsthand. I thought I had bad teeth genetically so whatever he said I would go with... I needed a night guard, got many fill ins in silver & when I wanted them white had to remove & replace which was all$, my flouride treatments went from 15 to 25 instantly, I needed a third cleaning $150 out of pocket yearly. None of my interactions with Dr. Shroff were pleasant, but two experiences stand out: I had a filling completed during my previous visit. After leaving the office, I realized that I had forgotten to ask for a receipt, so returned immediately. Dr. Shroff saw me from behind the desk and I quickly explained what I was there for. He loudly jeered at me in the packed waiting room, "Oh, I thought you came back with more cavities to fill!" Perhaps he believes that a small treatment such as a filling does not warrant patient confidentiality. Perhaps he believes that these words can slip by under the guise of a joke. Perhaps he believes that I, as a student, would somehow not understand the concept of protected health information or be willing to speak up against the seriousness of his actions. Had everything taken place in a different context, such as a physician announcing to a patient in a hospital waiting room news about his chemotherapy for everyone to overhear, I am sure that this violation of HIPAA would be much more apparent. I began searching for another dentist, having decided that my next visit would be my last. For this appointment, All Bright Dental called to confirm the time. I got the message that I was scheduled for 1:45pm. At almost 1:30pm, they called saying that I was late for my appointment at 1:15pm and should try to be there in 5 minutes. Living relatively close, I rushed to the office only to be told that it was past 1:30pm and everyone was on lunch break. I was offered the opportunity to reschedule with a $40 fee. I do not know where the miscommunication took place and completely understand that people need their breaks. I do not point a finger of blame at them because it is impossible to know for certain what happened. However, I find it unreasonable that they would demand $40 for a misunderstanding like this, especially when I tried my best to come in immediately after the call. Also illogical and inconsiderate is the fact that they called 5 minutes before the cutoff time, which was not specified until I arrived, as if everyone lives within a half mile radius of the office and can just jog there at the drop of a hat. I am disappointed that Dr. Shroff spoke to me with a condescending and haughty tone, pushing the blame on my side immediately without pausing for so much as a second to consider if the person who confirmed my time could have possibly made a mistake. My family works in healthcare and I have shadowed multiple medical personnel; nobody I have observed acts as unprofessional as Dr. Shroff. Even I, a student, am aware of the basic rights of a patient and the level of respect that a doctor should show a patient in the workplace, about which Dr. Shroff seems to be uneducated. I believe in the legitimacy of his positive reviews, but it only strengthens my conviction that he treats people unequally, because neither I nor my family members can testify to such positive experiences. In retrospect, the only gain on my part in my two years with All Bright Dental is a solidified grasp of how not to act as a future healthcare professional. read more

Dr. Schroff has been my dentist for over 8 years now and I am extremely happy with how he has treated me as a patient. He has treated me with respect and of course he is a great dentist. I have not had any issues with his work or his staff. In the past I have had challenges with my former dentist mainly around the quality of their work. When I first came to Dr. Schroff I had not had a regular dentist in a few years. I would only go if I had pain or issues with prior work. He made me feel at home and changed the way I felt about going to the dentist. Over the past 8 years he has helped me in many ways. I had two root canals done in my teens and twenties before I saw him for the first time. He has repaired the work that was done by someone else years ago. One two separate occasions I had caps that were 10-20 years old break and fall out on both occasions he saw me the next day including one time he had just returned from being away. It was his first day back to work with a loaded schedule and he found a way to accommodate me. I appreciate Dr. Schroff so much that now my wife, father and mother in law are patients. Having Trust in your doctors is vital and I completely trust Dr. Schroff. His staff is great. They are on top of everything. I never have an problem with any bills or or making appointments. They have been very accommodating to my hectic work schedule in Which I've had to reschedule appointments and they never give me a problem or attitude about it. I enjoy my visit and have had a wonderful time getting to know everyone over the years. I have been a patient of his practice for many years now and when I started I was not in a good place dental wise, but over the years I have come to develop quite a friendship with Dr. Shroff and always feel comfortable with his recommendations for any of my dental treatments .From the beginning him and his staff have been nothing but friendly and accommodating to all of my dental needs and appointment scheduling. Dr. Shroff always takes the time to go over my treatment plan and explains to me what the next best step would be. Dr. shroff offers a payment plan for any patient who doesn't have any dental coverage and will work with you to the best of their ability. When I first started at his practice I had no dental coverage and they were able to set me up on a payment plan that worked best for me. I have shadowed at his office since my freshman year of high school and he is the reason why I'll be attending dental school next year.
