My family and I have been bringing our dogs to All Creatures Vet Clinic since 2009, and we cannot say enough about Dr. Kahn and his team. Over the years, they have cared for our dogs through everything - routine vaccinations, orthopedic surgeries, referrals to heart specialists, and so much more. They have walked alongside us through every stage of our pets' lives with professionalism, honesty, and compassion. When we lost our 16-year-old rescue, Tooty, who we had since she was 8 months old, it was one of the most heartbreaking experiences of our lives. When we learned she had kidney failure, they squeezed us in when she became lethargic, patiently trained us on how to administer fluids at home, and were transparent and supportive every step of the way. After she passed, they sent us a handwritten card filled with warmth and reassurance that we had done everything we could. That meant more than they probably realize. Just recently, our 15-year-old dog, Harry, declined suddenly late at night. After a Vet ER visit at 1:00 AM and being quoted $3000 for extensive testing, we asked for fluids, antibiotics, and pain medication so we could follow up with Dr. Kahn. When the clinic opened, they got us in at 9:00 AM without hesitation. Dr. Kahn is truly someone you can tell is exactly where he is meant to be. This is God's calling for him. He is empathetic, honest, realistic, and deeply supportive. He sat with Harry, and while I think he understood we likely didn't have much time left, he gave us encouragement and treated Harry with such dignity and care. After fluids, pain medication, and antibiotics, we brought Harry home. He rested peacefully and passed later that afternoon. When I called to cancel Harry's follow-up appointments, Dr. Kahn personally called me that evening to offer comfort and reassure us that Harry had lived a wonderful, loved life. It's during the hardest moments that you truly see who shows up for you. Dr. Kahn and the team at All Creatures have shown up for our family for 17 years. We recommend them unequivocally. All around great vet. I take my foster dog here and get her meds as well. Dr. Clem is a gem. she's a very sweet and attentive doctor who really cares for your pet. I had to get my foster spayed which was a lot more pricey than the SPCA but at $350 it was worth it because they did a great job and no issues with the spay incision. Very clean facility and friendly staff. To my knowledge they are not taking new clients at the moment fyi. read more

Dr. Clem and Dr. Kahn are some of the best veterinarians I have ever met, they are thorough, very educated and I trust their opinions. Unfortunately, their office staff are a complete disservice to the entire practice. Recently, I made an appointment last week for three dogs to get the vaccination updated so that I could get a flea pill prescription. I arrived on time and was promptly notified by Sherie that she had been trying to contact me to let me know that they needed to re-schedule my appointment because Dr. Clem could not see three dogs at the end of the day (my appointment was scheduled for 4:30 pm). She notified me of the phone number they supposedly called, which was not the correct one, no wonder I never responded. Oddly enough, the number they tried to call was my sister and she never received a phone call, we both have been going to All Creatures for quite a few years. I am saddened to report that this is not the first encounter I have had with Sherie, but it will certainly be the last because I no longer wish to waste time on front desk personnel who choose to be smug, dishonest and disorganized. I recently visited this vet clinic as my Shih Tzu has been having extreme skin itching due to allergies. I was recommended a Cytopoint injection for him in the past but I was on the fence about it due to some bad side effects I had read on it. His itching was making his life miserable, and so after trying different alternatives, I decided to schedule for Cytopoint. Dr.Keller was the vet who examined my dog Yoshi, and he put my mind at ease on all the doubts I had about this shot. All I can say is Thank you Dr.Keller!! My dog has not scratched at all since then, he slept through the night in peace and he is back to his normal self!! Dr.Keller listens and provides great feedback. read more

My old dog was set for dental cleaning , I gave permission to remove some teeth if they were bad. When I went to pick him up I was startled with the fact they had pulled 11 teeth, cainies included. The bill was startling too. I asked why I wasn't inform prior to removal no one there could answer. Giving total permission was my fault . But could you have at least tried to save some of them. No call regarding this. I have been going here since Dr Khan started his Veterinary business. I asked for call back from Dr Kahn almost 3 weeks ago. No Call. Was my favorite vet, I told everyone to go here and they were the best. Then I missed my dogs appointment for spay (she was very pregnant and I was scared last minute so I didn't take her), then I paid them for missing the appointment, and I missed another appointment when my dogs ear was chewed up and infected and I had been waiting for them to see her for simple antibiotics for almost a whole week and then they said they would no longer have me as a client. I even offered to pay them again for the missed appointment because after missing the first one they told me they do give 1 grace of missing appointments for doctor visits- not spays- which was a lie because they didn't honor that when I missed the doctor appointment. These people don't care about our animals. We're just dollars to them. I'd never do this to someone who loved my business and tried to get me more. read more

I have been skeptical of vets since I was a child because of some things that happened to my grandmother. Because of that I have been difficult to deal with in some situations when it comes to vets. It's hard to trust sometimes. I have been through some situations with my dogs over the last couple years and both times this vet clinic helped. Dr Mac has been a light at the end of a dark tunnel. I've wanted to share my gratitude to Dr. Richard Kahn and his entire veterinary staff at All Creatures for over 25 years now since we first took our dogs Kato and Jack to see him in his first office While he was also still the Chief Equine Vet for Fresno State. My only regret is that I have not done so earlier. Having moved to Fresno from Southern California, we weren't accustomed to his humble yet direct cowboy swagger approach to performing what the average lay person would consider highly complicated medical procedures in our presence with a swift competence that seemed so cavalier and transparent you might have thought you were observing a father floss his toddlers teeth before bedtime. Over the years, we have watched him remove an electric razor from our chocolate Labrador's gut from start to finish in his waiting room on a Saturday afternoon, drain an infected ear abscess on Thanksgiving one year that incidentally cost $600 less than we were quoted in Orange County where we were visiting for the holiday that as a no brainer led my husband to make the 5 Hour trek back to have treated, and one year Dr. Kahn and his family even took our black Labrador with him to the Sierras while we managed a family crisis. The man even sent us photos. No blood relation, and there were no dowries exchanged between our children... This is simply reflective of his standard of practice, and represent but a few of Dr. Kahn and his Veterinary's staff countless acts of generosity that reveal not only his love for the animals for whom he cares and treats, but the depth of his integrity and commitment to the owners these animals know and love as family members. Mind blowing kindness, compassion, and integrity second to none and at a fraction of the cost we witness many family and friends pay for (lesser) care. I called today for my cat. Since I have not had to use their services for the past five year (I guess my animals are just to healthy) I am no longer worthy of being their patient and they will not accept me as a new patient either. This is the worst treatment ever. I guess all my other animals that have been seen by them all these past years were nothing to them, just a revenue source. I would never recommend them to anyone. If I could give them zero stars I would, It seems they have no compassion and I waited an entire month to get into an appointment for my dog with them! I literally got hit by a car on my bicycle two hours before my appointment had to have emergency surgery on my dominant arm on top of all my injuries and was in the ER all day/night. When I tried to call to explain what happened and try to reschedule my appointment they just told me they were no longer taking new patients even though I already waited a month for my appointment. I know emergencies are inconvenient for everyone but I was beyond shocked with the response I got. Now I have to find poor Bella (and our other pets) a new vet because cars can't follow the laws of the road, and they refused to even try to reschedule our appointment. At least she's in pretty good health, if she wasn't this could be extremely detrimental to her health and not just an inconvenience to find a Vet that actually cares! read more

I tried to ask her about calling in only 2 minutes late after the scheduled appointment time and she kept interrupting me to say thank you for calling have a nice day. Rude & short. All Creatures has cared for both our dogs for...about a year now? No complaints. The care is wonderful, the costs are about half of what we paid at our previous vet, and it's in a convenient location for us. I trust them with our dogs. A lot of people have mentioned that All Creatures is usually full so the office might tell you they are not taking new patients. This is true. It took us a while to get in with them. They don't keep a waiting list, so you need to keep trying them, and they will tell you how often or what times of day to try. At one point they told me to call every week. Then another time they told me to call every day at a certain time of day. Whatever they tell you might depend on how soon they think you can get in if you want. Just do what they say! If you follow their requested procedures, and are willing to take the first appointment (i.e., for a meet and greet when your pet isn't sick), it's worth it to get your pet in with such a good vet. I would not recommend waiting till your pet is sick and then trying to get in, because it might usually take months. Good luck. read more

The front office are people with zero respect for us and very unprofessional. They will charge you arm and leg and sometimes they charge a medication which was $10 last month for $28 dollars this month. No consistency in their pricing. They would lie about how they are busy and can not give an appointment. Dr. is very incompetent and they are in process of learning at the cost of your pet. If you complain and try to defend your right they will ask you stop going to them rater try to rectify the case. I would not recommend this place to anyone. They are so corrupt and greedy. Their expertise in curing pets is very very poor. Offices are filthy and their equipments are very old and garbage. If I hade a choice I would give them a zero star. Bad business. read more

I took my cat in she was constipated and not eating. Gay Hsia DVM saw her that day, he said that her backside had a lump and was more than likely had cancer and gave me the option to euthanize her or referred me to an oncologist. Dr Gary Hsia didn't do a biosy, xray or sonogram. I left needless to say so upset and decided to get a second opinion. I took her to Waterhouse Animal Hospital, Dr Waterhouse pulled out of backside poop that was hard as a rock. There was no cancer, just poop. I guess Dr Hsia didn't want to get his hands dirty, literally and figuratively. To think he gave me the option to put her down, how many other misdiagnosis has he given and people have uthanized their beloved pets needlessly. Dr Gary Hsiais is a quack, if you take your animal there I would suggest never have him see them, if you want to keep alive. Dr Gary Hsia is part owner of Rocket Dog Brats and Brew, he should stick to hot dogs cause he knows nothing about being a veterinary. He wasted all that time and money going to veterinary school, cause he didn't learn a damn thing. I have been taking my sick kitty to Small Creatures for several years with no diagnosis. Dr Waterhouse ran series of test including a sonogram and my kitty was diagnosed within days. My dog was limping...I spent almost $1000 on test, and xrays. They say it's a sprain. Dog is still limping. When I look close I see a cut on my dogs paw pad. I want to know if this place even inspected my dogs paw or just assumed it was a sprain. I could have saved alot of money if they saw the cut wound. read more

This is a great office. The staff is friendly and efficient. They open at 9 which is difficult for my work schedule but I wouldn't trade them for an office that open earlier. Dr. Clem is great and does not use the appointment to make money off you. She also does not push for unnecessary things or putting your pet under for small surgeries. I will have to agree with other reviewers about the front desk staff. Some can be rude and not helpful. We had to bring our dog in for a booster and the lady said she had no appointments available because she "assumed" we only wanted late appointments. Anyway, luckily the front desk staff aren't the ones who take care of my dogs... The vets and vet techs are amazing. My dog (who is my absolute love!) was diagnosed with parvo at the age of 2. We took him to an emergency vet because it was after hours and the tech there was horrible. I sobbed and sobbed and sobbed because of the way she made me feel about my sick dog. After bringing him in to All Creatures the next day, they made me feel so much better. The treatment was at home care with subcutaneous fluids and antibiotics. They didn't feel the need to treat him there if we were willing to do the treatment ourselves. Plus, my dog hates leaving my side so I wouldn't want to stress him out even more. Long story short, this place takes good care of their patients and I would recommend them to anyone considering this vet. They are very inexpensive, caring, and knowledgeable.
