He said to go to County Glass and Mirror instead. Well, he said go to the place on Manchester and I'm guessing this is it. When I got to County Glass and Mirror, they were in the middle of a power outage. I still go service. The employee grabbed a pen and paper (gasp), did math on a calculator (or a phone's calculator... it wasn't totally 1995 in the store), and then they called me about a week later to tell me it was ready for pickup. They didn't try to upsell me. They didn't give me multiple options. This is the one kind of glass for this thing and I was happy with that. I was in and out in 5 minutes at most both times I visited The prices seem good. The glass is great! I should have done this years ago, but I didn't know it would be this simple. I will go here first the next time I need glass.

The owner, Jim, is very personable and runs the place very effectively, and is well coordinated with his employees who are also very polite. Chippewa Glass was nice enough so I brought it in. They actually had to order the glass, to my surprise, and it took a month (they said 2 weeks) but it matches pretty well. The side bevel is slightly different but probably only I will notice. The value of my antique may be diminished but at least I can enjoy it. I wonder if I could have ordered it from someone myself and cut out the middle man? 50% payment is due up front and they take credit cards, no fee. I had to call and ask about it several times but I did get it and I'm happy.
