When I found two older ladies sitting in a corner eating, I asked if they could help or let me know where the working employee was since I assumed they must be on lunch. One turns to me and said to me in the most sarcastic and rude tone ever, "Yeah, no duh that's us, we did not just sit here and to eat lunch...blah blah". The other lady told her to knock it off and she just rolled her eyes. It was so rude and unpleasant. I cannot believe that they have people like that working there. I will not be back and I told everyone I know about this horrible experience! You are better off taking your money to people who won't treat you like crap!

What a charming little quilt shop! I am visiting from out of state and am a sewist, but not (yet?)…read morea quilter, but I was really impressed by this lovely shop. I think if I had a shop like this in my area, I would probably more seriously consider taking up quilting! The shop is laid out in a pleasing way, with a good variety of fabrics and many beautiful samples of quilts hanging on the walls and also smaller samples at eye level near the fabrics. They had a bunch of books and patterns to peruse (including some regular sewing patterns for like little bags and things), and most impressively, there were banks of quilting machines that I am guessing may be used by the shop customers, including a couple of really large quilting machines! There were customers using the big machines while I was there, which was really cool. The shop ladies seemed really nice as well, and thankfully not hover-y. I will definitely try to stop by again next time I'm in Rochester! Hopefully I will have some projects in mind that I don't yet have a fabric for by then.

All the typical patterns are available, plus some beautiful, unique, specialty options. Ginny, herself, is not just knowledgeable, but incredibly helpful. She knows the origins of her fabrics and how to solve wardrobe creation quandaries, such as what to use for lining to control wrinkling and which pattern companies create the best-fitting pants patterns. The only problem, as I told her, is that it's all so delicious that her wares could bankrupt a person. It would be worth it.
