I never bought a car from a used car dealer. All Motor Cars is an exception. We purchased one vehicle in the spring and just purchase another. When you go there, there is no pressure to customers. You get in the car and test drive it. Questions will be answered . Cars that come in may need some work to bring them into great running condition and this is done prior to your purchase. of course some things may slip through the cracks but they will take care of the issue. Remember that they are used cars. I will continue to purchase my cars from this dealership. Prices are fair and are less then what regular dealers would sell them for but may be priced higher in some people's opinion because the maintenance needed was done! Also note, yes you will see negative reviews and that is due to ignorance of customers. I was told by the tech what was repaired or replaced and I went forward w my purchase and if I have any issues they will be taken care of. This place completely mishandled my service. They performed an oil change even though I wasn't due for one, and the very next day my car displayed an "oil level too high" alert. When I called, they told me to bring it in early so they could address it right away, so I dropped it off the night before. By 11 a.m., the issue still hadn't been remedied. Eventually, they claimed they couldn't fix the problem and refused to take responsibility for it--despite the issue clearly resulting from their mistake. To make matters worse, they told me to go to Mercedes and pay out of pocket to fix the problem they caused. Totally unprofessional, dishonest, and careless. I have never been more disappointed and frustrated with a business. I wish that I'd done more thorough research before stepping foot onto this car lot, as there seem to be many other folks who had similar experiences to mine. In brief, All Motors is knowingly and intentionally deceitful and misleading about their cars. They straight up say that certain repairs and system checks have been conducted on vehicles that were absolutely not done. Since purchasing a 2008 Subaru from AllMotors, I've spent close to the cost of the car on repairs - nearly all of which the staff told me had already been completed. I was pulled over and ticketed by a state trooper 5 days after purchasing my car due to the license plate light being out. The check engine light came on a week out and never went off. I called AllMotors within my warranty period and drove back and forth to the dealership/garage 5 times in a month and a half to have their mechanic look at and address the problem. They continuously "fixed the issue," only for the same thing to pop up days later. Their communication was inconsistent, unclear, and terse. The moment that drove things over the edge was when I looked the mechanic in the eye and asked him to give me his honest evaluation of the car's roadworthiness after the series of repairs, as I'd be driving it long-distance and carrying members of my family. He gave me the go-ahead. A week later, I took the car in for an oil change and learned that major components in the undercarriage were 90% eroded and there was a leak in the gas tank. During that visit to a mechanic, I heard from his staff that AllMotors is known for selling damaged vehicles under a clean bill of health. I inquired about trading my 2015 Mitsubishi Mirage with only 55k miles for a 2006 Subaru Baja with 117k miles mind you. ANDREW replied via email that they would take my car as a trade. I replied "you would take it as a trade EVEN STEVEN" i even told him in my initial email i had backended a car at a stop light and no dents just minor alignment of the driver side fender. He wrote back YES! I went yesterday for a test drive and for him to look over my car which he did and still said nothing to clue me in on what i dealt with today. I, my husband and daughter drive the 80 MILES BACK to Tilson NY for Andrew to discuss my car as a trade in for....$2700!!!! BWAHAHA THEN INSULTED MY CAR AND WHAT I PAID FOR IT! First off its 3 yrs old no dents or anything and only a bump but they kept pushing "oh but its been in an accident" umm not really no sorry He then claimed to have never said "even steven trade" i showed him the email which he said he hadn't seen my car but i was there YESTERDAY which is when he should have said he would not do the trade! DO NOT BOTHER GOING HERE. The Baja actually had 119k miles, 2,000 MORE than stated, its missing the door to the gas cap area, it also has a huge GASH in the bottom part of the car in addition it seems to have been in a flood! 3 days after buying car, check engine light came on, was told to bring it in. Andrew informed me that it was the catalytic converter. He hooked up the sensor then turned the light off. He said he ordered the part. Was told to come in on Monday, called that Monday he said no mechanic. Was given the run around for 3 weeks. Called 11-10-15 at 11:18am about the check engine light. Was told to stop in and they would fix it. 11-16-15 brought the car in to replace the catalytic converter, was told it was replaced. 11-18-15 car starts to vibrates on acceleration , called was given run around, was told to call back. After fixing the spark plugs 2 times check iengine light comes on saying to fix spark plugs. Flashing oil light on stop or idle, went there to fix it, only to be told that they did. 2 months later oil light comes back on. Also didn't fix catalytic converter. Also on 01-15-16 the car starting revving while driving and wouldn't stop. They did fix that. Pleaseeeeeeeeeee never, ever, ever, ever, ever waste your money and energy buying from here read more

I bought a Toyota RAV4 from this dealer and when the service light came on a week later, I brought it back. They couldn't figure it out so they changed out the engine!!!. Well, it turns out they changed the manual transmission as well. The shift lever on the transmission vibrated like crazy at highway speeds! The previous transmission was find. Don't buy from these guys; but if you do, study the NYS lemon law ahead of time and know your rights under the law. read more

It's unfortunate there are bad reviews on this place. I've purchased 2 personal and recommended 4 other people. Out of all them 1 car had issues, but it was the oldest one out of the bunch. I myself haven't had any major issues. If I needed service. I scheduled a date and brought the car in and it was fixed. Maybe once or twice I had to bring it back, but they took care of it. Keep in mind they're used cars and it's next to impossible to find everything wrong on the car except the painfully obvious. Not this dealer, but I have had someone purchase a certified used 2017 Subaru Forester from Johnstons Subaru in Middletown NY(Orange County). This is a SUBARU DEALER. They claim the car had to go through an 100ish inspection to make it certified. BS, I drove the car and immediately I noticed the rear wheel bearing needed to be replaced(painfully obvious) I got pulled over by the police because of rear driver side taillight and license plate light was out. Car had a heavy oil consumption. I had to go back and forth with them and they had finally changed the short block on the car. Hence..... CERTIFIED SUBARU??? Andrew at All Motors has always been Pleasant, Nice and Fare. Not one issue with him or has never pressured me. This place is a scam period. I bought a car from them in September of this year. I had a 3 month warranty, during this time in October the front end started making a knocking noise. I brought the car back to be repaired. Very quickly the next day I was called the car was ready to be picked up. I asked what was done they said the mechanic was not in that day and were not sure. So I left I called back the following day and still no answer what was done I was being given the run around. I never received any written documentation on work done. However the car did seem to be fixed. But I took it to my local mechanic for a oil change the alerted me to many more issues. Now I am about 2 months out of warranty but I bring it back to All Motors hopefully to do the right thing. They did not I was met with hostility from Andrew the sales man. They started doing work on the car without any authorization from me. I had to call them after a few days then they tell me the wheel was about to fall off the car (this is the car my wife and 22 month year old daughter drive in everyday) And they listed all the work the already done and how much I owed them. I disputed this and told them I never approved the work but they said I was lying which I wasnt. The last conversation I had the Frank the mechanic was that he was going to look over the car thats all. This goes on for days we agree upon a price then I get there and Im given a bill way higher than agreed upon. I disputed and Andrew the sales man starts screaming and me threating me that he will charge me more and not give me the car if I dont pay. All this going on while every employee or customer besides myself and Andrew are running around a small enclosed area without masks on. At one point I got freaked out enough to run out of the office. Then the cherry on the cake after driving it aprx 15 miles to my home 4 warning lights pop on. I called Andrew to tell him he tells me the alternator must be blown and that its a coincidence that happened 40 minutes after leaving his shop I said thats b.s he said take me court and hung up on me. If you are debating buying a car from them ask yourself a question .... could I make this up if I tried? I will be reporting them to the BBB also going to be reporting them for coronavirus social distancing violations and taking them to court to dispute any charge. This place needs to be stopped. DO NOT BUY A SINGLE CAR FROM THESE PEOPLE EVER. I put a deposit down, show up after driving 4 hours from Vermont, find the car and open the hood, I look and see NOTHING the entire engine was removed from the car and sitting inside the garage. They had neglected to let me know this weeks in advance, and never told me up to seeing the car. Clearly lying through their teeth, they said the head Gaskets had blow, THAT morning, which we showed up at, removed the engine to try and put new ones on it. (It was a wrx) so obviously this is a very, common well known issue that should of been know way in advance. But furthermore, I wait 20 minutes to talk with the sales rep, after him lying and telling me to buy the car when the rush and try and put it back inside. We ask to see the owner, who it so happens to be away, after supposedly being called by the sales rep, we wait 30 mins for him to show up, he doesn't, and it turns out he was never even called. We talk to him on the phone and he yells at us and says he will not give us a dime for what they did and we leave. It is utterly insane how this happened, and how these people clearly knew this was an issue, and couldn't even email me to let me know. Please, PLEASE, stay away from these guys, they will be reported to the better business bureau. STAY AWAY FROM THESE SCAMMER AT ALL COSTS, PLEASE. The worst place to buy a used car!! Purchased a truck from Andrew, went to drive it home the A/C was missing and the brakes locked up 20 miles away. He promised to repair it. I returned in a week to pickup the truck, still not fixed. He said I should have called first to make sure it was done. The mechanics that work there are "shade tree" at best. These people should not be allowed near cars with tools. Andrew is the most untrustworthy person I have ever met. If you want to buy a car you have to fix yourself or take them to court to get your money back....this is your dealer!! AVOID!! read more

I got my car before covid but im just now coming on here because i think this is the 8th time my car has had to get fixed since buying the car a year ago and the first time it was the catalytic converter which was $1500 and everything is rusted out under neath and everything is welded together where things shouldnt be welded and my brother also got a subaru there and its terrible as well never buy a car from this place they dont fix anything they make it look presentable till you buy it then it goes down hill i got my subaru for $5300 but i think ive put $5000 into it to fix it so if you are like me and going to get your FIRST CAR as a NEW DRIVER do NOT go here cause you will waste your money. Update: Finally found out the source of the clunky sound. Got the car back to PA, paid the sales tax, title etc, and then failed inspection - All 4 struts leaking, and missing brake hardware on 1 disc brake. (estimated $1000 to make it pass inspection.) Brought it back & dropped it off with the itemized report. Andrew was non-commtial, said he would have it looked at, then stalled for 2 weeks, and then finally admitted he had no intention of fixing it. Even though the car was sold with a temporary DMV in-transit permit from NY to PA, Andrew claims they have no obligation to make the car pass inspection in PA. So the car sits on his lot, undrivable, uninspectable, while we wait for small claims court. Zero stars. I don't think it gets much sleazier than this. read more

My son bought a vehicle from this place last year. We had to bring it back with in a few day because of a exhaust leak and a transmission fluid leak. We didn't realize that all they did was put silicone around the whole transmission pan after bring it back 3 times got so fed up went to a real mechanic who found a hose and a butcher job on the transmission pan. I do not recommend anyone to go there they are very shady people. The vehicle also passed NYS inspection with no working horn or reverse lights and burnt out tail lights. read more

I tested the car, inspected it and it looked perfect. Again like a sales person Andrew just wanted the money so he was telling me everything that I wanted to hear in order to by the car. HOW DOES THIS PLACE HAVE THIS MANY GOOD REVIEWS?! The pictures looked great as they all do! I flew from Illinois to buy what I thought was an exceptionally clean Chevy 2500HD. I EVEN ASKED if the truck had rust and The salesman/manager lied to me so much!! He just wanted the sale so when I asked how clean the truck was and what was wrong with it, he told me what I wanted to hear and left out all the frame rust, bad ball joints and clear coat peeling off the hood. I'm the one at fault for thinking a clean rust free vehicle could come from New York, MY BAD. This place is untrustworthy and I wouldn't buy anything from here unless you are very knowledgeable with auto repair and live close enough that it's not an inconvenience to go look. read more

This place has the worst customer service! I had issues with my oil light coming on, their solution was to do an oil change, reset the light and send me on my way. The mechanic, the owner and the salesman all confirmed I had been burning oil and they were unsure why. Now they do not return calls to bring my vehicle in. In addition, my air bag light has kicked on. I have contact all motor cars and have left 2 messages and I have yet to hear back. I would never just show up as they would ask me to come back when it works for them, and it would not end well. I do not recommend this place and will now never return due to this experience and will be reporting them. Buyer Beware after seeing the way my friend was treated. Her car has been in for repairs more then she has driven it. She has not been able to get to work so they said they would give her a loaner until her car was fixed. I drove her 45 minutes to pick up this loaner and it was a wreck I am surprised it passed inspection. She started the car and it sounded awful with a ticking noise. To top it all off the gas gauge was below empty. She was afraid to take it that it would either run out of gas before she got to the gas station or the engine would blow up and leave her stranded with her kids on the side of the road. The owner's statement was that he isn't putting gas in it for her to run around. REALLY???? You should at least have enough gas to get to a gas station and the car should at least be suitable and safe for driving her children. read more

I'd been doing a bunch of research and looking around for a place to bring my Subaru for a new head gasket. Three to four places all told me at least $1,700 and at least 3 days for the repair. I called All Motor Cars and had an appointment for the next week and was told $1,500. Later that day my car began to have exhaust issues and called back and was able to bring it in next day. 2 days later my car was back in my hands with new head gaskets, timing belt, fixed exhaust and more for a great price. I drove it over 700 miles the next day and it's running like new. Very happy with quality and speed of service as well as the great prices and flexibility. Stopped out to test drive a 1999 jeep. Started the jeep and the engine light was on. I told the mechanic, he checked it and no codes came up. He reset the computer and 2 minutes later the light was back on. On the back seat floor was a 1/2" of water which I showed the mechanic. He agreed there must be a leak which is not good since this was the hard top. I took the jeep out and as soon as I got up to 25 mph the jeep started pulling 8" to 12" to the left and right. I am totally appalled that a dealership would offer vehicles for sale with major problems. I will register a complaint also with the BBB and NYS DMV. These folks should NOT be in business. My girlfriend bought a car from this company less than one month ago, with a 30 day warranty. I went with her, and everything seemed to check out. Andrew was amicable and seemingly accommodating. He made me feel comfortable about her decision, that if anything went wrong - as might happen with used cars - they would fix it. So, I think a day or two into the purchase, the check engine light turned on. Great. I took it to Lacy's in Catskill for a used car check (they do this for about $100). They found quite a bit wrong with it: the oil pan is seeping at the gasket, a tie rod in need of repair, coolant lines rusted, and the two most costly according to the mechanic - the rear subframe is very rusty and the catalytic converter needs to be replaced. They had replaced a sensor which alleviated the check engine light temporarily. The cat was causing the check engine code. These are very expensive to replace on most Subarus. We get in contact with Andrew. This is coming on the third week of ownership. He says they are very busy, call back next week. We call him next week, and drop off the car. He looks at the printout from Lacys, says "No problem, we can fix all this." Great feeling, he'll do some repairs. We leave, and call him later to see what's up with the car. Says he's waiting on a part from Subaru, call back Friday. It's Friday. We call and apparently there's no part. He starts refuting the fact that the CEL was on, the car is fine. No way! He's not repairing the cat like he said? It took some arguing, and he finally replaces the cat for us. Now, today, we picked the car up. We had dropped it off a week ago with a full tank of gas, at least, minus what we drove there. The trip odometer was at 63 miles. We got it back with 1/4 tank of gas and the odometer at 240 miles. He replaced the cat. Apologized for the "misunderstanding." Told us, "This car drives great. . . you probably didn't realize, but the check engine light wasn't on when you dropped it off." Really? He shows me the rear subframe and how it's solid (even though he flicked a piece of rust the size of a half-dollar off of it while saying that). Says the car isn't leaking oil from the oil pan. Right. My girlfriend gets home from work tonight, and the CEL came on again. Come on! Realistically, we didn't expect them to replace everything on the list. It's a used car; there will be deteriorating parts. The only issue here was the cat, as according to Lacys, was what was causing the CEL (thus making the NYS inspection void).
