I would not recommend All My Sons Moving in Fort Lauderdale. My recent move with this company was extremely disappointing from start to finish. The lack of communication alone created unnecessary stress. The movers arrived late with no call, and when they finally showed up, they went to the wrong address--adding extra time to my bill for an error that was not mine. Once the move began, the issues continued. The crew did not use furniture pads and instead used tape in several instances, which resulted in a piece of my furniture being broken. They did not communicate the damage until the very end, and they left the broken item in the hallway of my apartment building. Because of this, my apartment complex charged me a fee for leaving damaged goods behind. Per my contract, the movers were supposed to pack the kitchen, but the crew was unaware of this and said they didn't have time to complete it. They were also contracted to disassemble and reassemble furniture; however, at the new location they were reluctant to reassemble anything, causing further delays and additional charges. Although they moved items down from a third-floor apartment, they refused to bring several pieces to the second floor of my townhome, leaving them on the first floor. I had to find additional help to get the furniture where it needed to go. No paperwork was completed on-site before the move began, and at the end I was only asked to initial one document. Even though payment had already been pre-authorized, I was required to provide my credit card information again over the phone. When the invoice finally arrived days later, the time listed was inaccurate and appeared to include the period when they were at the wrong address as well as a dinner break before delivering my furniture. This experience was unprofessional, costly, and stressful. Save your money and your peace of mind--look elsewhere for your move. read more

My experience with All My Sons moving: Do not hire this company is the first thing that I would say for the following reasons. The first reason is the company's and its employees' failure to come to the site prepared. I had two phone calls the day before the two employees arrived to explain what I needed packed. I asked if I needed to provide any packing materials, and I was assured that the company would provide them, which turned out to be a lie. During the phone call, I explained that I have a sectional sofa, two matching recliners, two nightstands, a dresser, a dining room table and chairs, a sleeper sofa, and (1) an 82-inch TV, and (2) a 55-inch TV. The televisions were all wall-mounted and would need to be removed from the wall before packing. All of my furniture was going into a POD that would be picked up the following day. When the employees arrived, they did not have enough packing materials to complete the job, and they complained that they had been given the assignment at the last minute. These two employees placed all of my leather furniture into the pod without wrapping the items in anything that would protect the leather. I even heard one employee tell the other that they needed to hurry. See, employee one wanted to be done with the job in time to go watch his son's football game. In total, I had 4 televisions; however, the ten-year-old 40-inch television in the master bedroom only needed to be removed from the wall and left in the room. What I told the employees was this: "The 82-inch TV needs to be removed and packed." I walked into the master bedroom. This TV needs to be removed from the wall and left leaning against the wall; it's not going with the pod." I walked him upstairs, where each of the guest bedrooms had a fairly new 55-inch smart TV. Me, "I need both of these tv's removed from the walls and packed. I do have one TV box. I'll go tomorrow and get another TV box. WHAT WAS DONE: The employees removed all the televisions, placed one of the 55-inch TVs into the U-Haul box designed for such TVs; however, the TV was not wrapped in a blanket to protect it from damage, and none of the foam inserts were used. It was just left in the box leaning against the wall by the front door. After the employees were paid and quickly left, I discovered several things. The claim that the pod was full and could not hold any more boxes was a lie. With my aunt's help, I placed at least 8 more medium-sized U-Haul boxes into the pod. In addition, while packing those additional boxes, I noticed a small, wrapped item beneath the 55-inch TV box that was leaning against the wall. ALL My Sons hires' thieves: I unwrapped the TV and discovered that the old 40-inch TV, which should have been left in the master bedroom, was wrapped in a blanket, and the other 55-inch TV was gone. Yes, one of the thieves stole my 55-inch TVs and tried to hide his crime by wrapping the old 40-inch TV in a blanket and placing it behind the 55-inch TV, leaning against the wall. I had to fight to get my TV back, and the argument given to me was that I told the employee that I did not want the TV. My question will always be: what gave him the right to walk out of my house with anything, under the impression that because I said I didn't itemize one, he could take the more expensive item number too? The other issue I have is that the 55-inch TV was stolen on Friday and wasn't returned until Saturday. The TV was brought back wrapped in a blanket. The TV was unwrapped so that my sister could inspect it and plug it in to make sure it worked. After, she verified that the TV worked. The employee for All My Sons walked out with the blanket, so they did not re-wrap the TV. I give this company an F. Emil, the supervisor, said he did not know where our stuff was and he could not find out on that day because the storage manager is out on a job, and cannot be reached. I called later in the day and spoke with Morgan who said she will look into it and call me back. She did not call me back. I called Morgan again two days later and she said she had done nothing yet- it was the weekend, but she will look into it now and call me back. I am still waiting. I think it is not right that the movers were so quick to get our money up front, before they started moving things in, and then they wanted me to sign a form that said everything was delivered to my satisfaction, even though they were apologizing for only bringing half of our stuff. read more

Total Scammers!!! My quote was $380.00 Final cost: $799.65 I called a few movers to get quotes for moving my mom into an assisted living facility that was located 15 minutes away from her house. I selected All My Sons solely on the fact that they were the lowest quote ($380). We only had a few items to move (bed, nightstand, dresser, recliner chair, 4 medium size boxes and a TV) so when their quote estimated an hour for travel and an hour for the move with 2 guys, I thought it seemed reasonable. After I paid the deposit I saw all the terrible YELP reviews and was debating if I should cancel and go with another company. Against my better judgement, I kept the appointment and hoped for the best. A couple days before the move date, I was contacted by Emil, who identified himself as a manager. He reviewed the cost I was quoted and I brought up all the Yelp reviews of people having various complaints including the final price being considerably higher than what was quoted. I then asked him to "just be up front and honest with me and tell me a reasonable estimate of what the total cost will be". I explained that I don't want to have a situation where I have to pay a considerable amount more of what I am being quoted. Emil, assured me that the price quoted is what I will pay and that the only additional cost would be supplies that are used. He then emailed me a listing of the costs for supplies such as tape ($5), mattress bag ($15), shrink wrap($35). I figured maybe $100 more for supplies. BOY WAS I WRONG! When we arrived at the assisted living facility they presented me with a bill for $799.00, less my $100 deposit .. so I had to pay $699.00 on the day of the move when I was expecting another $300-$400. I asked the mover to get Emil on the phone but he was not available so The movers put me on the phone with a representative that processes the final payment. While she gave me the opportunity to explain my outlook on their business practices and how (in my conversation with Emil) I specifically addressed their known practice of charging significant amounts above the quote price, she just kept repeating over and over that they have no way to estimate how long a move is going to take and the quote I was given is what I am being charged, based in the hours of the move, fuel charges and supplies used. Not even worthy of one star. The only thing this company is worth is a call to the police department. We have the case number if you don't believe me!!!! Things were not only stolen, but the packaging of boxes was horrendous. They broke most of our belongings. And then took off with the truck in which tried to charge more in order to get it back. Four times. -broken belongings - cameras and jewelry went missing - our child's piggy bank was empty - ate and drank all of our food ( came home after running errands and found empty drink bottles and packaging in our sink and kitchen) - ONLY packed half of our house!!! Once they left we came in to check and not only did they leave our entire kitchen but all of our bathrooms were unpacked - charged per box and most of the boxes were not even halfway full. There is a long list that I can continue to go on, but I'm sure those key points are enough. Do not use this company! Truck delivery to my house. Only two workers. They were great and worked very hard. Manager told them to leave at 4 pm but the job was not completed. Furniture still outside, unpacked, etc.... We were told beds would be assembled. Only one was. Spoke to manager and he was not helpful. He said the workers had to leave for another delivery! Manager said he would reach out today to schedule a service provider to assemble beds. Never happened. Then we noticed sofa was missing! Called Manager and he said they don't have it! The move.crew Larry and Courtney were great, personable, professional, very good job. It was a local move across town If it wasn't for the price, I'd give 5 stars. They charge a full hour ($159) for travel time to get to your place you are moving out of (before they even start) plus a 20% surcharge for fuel right off the bat, which is just a greedy rip off. Small Studio Move/Items Missing/Damage/Poor Customer Service: The number of calls I received upon booking and until my move date was professional and very 'checking all the boxes' which was impressive and welcomed. Day of two very young guys showed up, seemingly disheveled, hungover, and could not wait to be done. That being said, for theft reasons, I thought it/vocalized that it would be best to keep all my things in the basement area until one of us could be present while loading into the truck but this led to more delay - they both relaxed after this, forgot items (my bike and a box filled with my closet items - I bought a box from him for this purpose and he still forgot it, I brought it down myself) and I moved things with them as they kept checking their phones and not moving things forward. All the calls about what I had to move before the move went out the door, I got a text the morning of asking me what I needed to move from the driver, and they still forgot the items I listed. In my rush to not be charged too much, I forgot the bike too so now I have to figure that out. I cannot help but think that if there had been more leadership with the crew my move would have been more efficient, less expensive, and much less work for me, paying as much as I did - I did a lot of work myself the day of. Ok damage wise - they destroyed the fence of the property behind mine, and the one not driving outed the other by telling me he was always reckless - when we called at the end of this ordeal and I was paying Parker he was not apologetic about that damage (he just said to give them his cell #) and did not leave me any room to comment on what was going on - I signed off and paid the $800+ for 3 hours that could have been 2 hours for a small studio, they dropped glass items from my boxes and that littered the alley after they left. If you are looking for professional movers DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!! The moving service was far from professional and highly unsatisfactory. The movers were extremely small in stature, slow and inefficient as they were getting paid by the hour. Both movers were unable to lift our 2 couches and queen size mattress. Only one mover did any actual work, and the other appeared to be unproductive throughout the entire process. The smallest one tried to move one of the couches up the elevator and through our door. While doing that he deeply scraped up the floors to the brand-new building that we moved in to. We are the second set of people to move in and it is obvious that the damage to the building was caused by our movers. They scraped up the front door and doorframe, leaving visible damage. They also falsely advertised and did not live up to the information they provided me. The email sent to me stated that for Quality Assurance "To assure you that our men move at a professional pace a member of our operations team will contact you throughout the moving process." That was a lie as I had to call the manager, I believe his name was Emil to express my frustration with the horrible service from the unprofessional movers that was sent. He stated that I should have called within 2 hours of them moving to say they were moving slowly, and he would have sent another mover to help. Why didn't he call to check up as he stated he would? I told him that they were destroying the brand-new property that we were moving in to and he said we can file a claim and if they felt it was valid they would pay. So pretty much I will be stuck with the bill of paying back my property manager for the damage his movers caused. In addition to that, when I made the appointment a woman by the name of Morgan stated that their movers are ran through a thorough background check. Honestly, probably one of the worst "move" choices I've made over the years! They quote a reasonable rate per hour, but it's all of the hidden costs that they add, and have you approve, after your truck arrives for the delivery. In other words, they have your belongings in their possession until you approve the final bill. It was actually double what others had quoted, and a complete when they handed me the final bill to sign for. One of their ploys is that they use a small, electronic pad (about the size of a large phone) and go over the documents upon arrival and have you sign off on pages of vague language that you can't even see clearly. If anyone appreciates how stressful a move is, then you know that you just want to get the guys moving and you already have an idea of the cost, based on verbal conversations with their office, so one tends to breeze through the vague details. Use anyone else, just not this racket of a moving company. Oh, and by the way, our particular group of guys consisted of one experienced foreman and two, fairly new, helpers. Once they got tired, the just kind of packed up and left. I had to return to the old residence to take a look around at what was left to do and I can't believe what they left behind. Things that I specifically asked them to take. Then when I returned to the new residence, they had already left and just kind of dumped things off. Even stacking one of the pieces of furniture upside down, leaving Lawn Furniture dumped in piles in the back yard, etc... Just horrible. read more

Do you want to have irreplaceable family heirlooms destroyed! Do you enjoy your moving experience to include a glass table that disappears, a 4 foot marble statue delivered in pieces, every piece of your furniture chipped with legs broken and a team of men demanding a tip? Then all my son's moving and storage is your moving company. They have a flimsy rigged insurance plan. This plan will not recoup any of the damage to your items. Get self insured! The four men who delivered our belongings from storage were so rough that they shattered a 4 foot MARBLE statue my grandfather bought off a horse and buggy in Philadelphia, in 1941! My Italian glass table just never arrived; I imagine this was shattered as well. A large chunk of a walnut bureau was broken off and had a detached leg, dings and broken legs on sever, scratches and indents with broken legs on an entire bedroom set and an antique desk from the 50's with the leg broken off. Finally a Japanese tablet that hangs had a large piece of jade. The tablet arrived but the large piece of jade (which wasn't real) somehow went missing. "It must have fallen off" they said to me. These men explained to us that they should be tipped and told us the amount very awkward "100 or more" he said or we cannot assemble the bed. I do not recommend this company you might as well just call the junk yard and start shopping for new furniture. read more

Being a 65 year old man on a fixed income with a bad back I can't lift the boxes myself or afford additional movers. Quoted us about $550 for a move. We explicitly told them that we have a piano and a pull out couch that are very heavy and will need to be moved down 3 flights of stairs. They said that would be fine no problem and that they would send 2 people out. We demanded a third mover come as these items are VERY heavy (easily a 400-500lb piqno) and that two people won't be enough. They show up the day of moving with 2 men and an older lady. They tell us that the price will be $1300. Yes we did add on some packing materials but certainly not over $700 worth. They also said that this is a "3 hour job" as if they aren't able to know in advance how long it will take to move items out of a 2 bedroom apartment. Then when they are there you have to make them get their work done or they'll just stand around and try to get paid for doing nothing. My husband had to help , physically, and is moving almost as many things as these professionals. What if we were physically incapable of moving? This company will bait and switch you on price all the way. They did a good job of moving things and organizing them in the pod we got overall, however they did break a part on one of our lamps, didn't tell us, and left glass on the ground for me to find via getting cut when I was trying to clean. read more

This is very sad. A company that truly does not care about it's customers. I'm a single mom of two kids displaced by the flood, and I needed an immediate move. It can be so stressful during these things, and at first they seemed so nice. The fee was 199 per hour and they estimated it would be done in about two hours. I asked Bruce if he thought the value would be at $500 he said yes. It was all that was discussed. My space to lov 4 the storage was only 14 minutes away. They took advantage of the situation and. The job was complete in 4.5 hours and they I was charged 1300. Money they will not reimburse when I tríed to explain to both Bruce and Amil that this was not in the verbal agreement. I was not verbally made aware of the 20% fuel charge, or travel charge. By the time I realized after the job was complete it was too late I had signed the contract. Beware single moms these guys don't care. They will give you the around and send you to Amil, then some customer service center that does not answer. Mark the supervisor will not even speak to you if it's not his problem. It's amazing how much damage lack of information will hurt anyone during a difficult situation. What a painful thing to go through. They didn't move a house. They moved a small space that couldn't even take the coffee table and beds. 3 closet boxes a 5x5 worth in boxes. What sneaky service. If I could give 0 stars, I would. Very nice, seemingly trustworthy individuals when they are soliciting your business. However, once our items were delivered, they had significantly damaged 8 pieces of expensive furniture, gotten a cleaned and wrapped rug wet and full of mold(!), lost an item, and broken several others. Probably 25% of the boxes were partially to fully crushed (thankfully most had soft goods in them), with several boxes showing large footprints on their tops as if someone had simply walked on top of the stacked boxes! Since we purchased the upgraded "replacement coverage" insurance, our expectation was that we would at least receive enough compensation to offset a meaningful portion of the cost of the damage THEY created. We were obviously completely misguided with this expectation! Instead, we got shuffled off to the corporate office to try to plead our case and settle our claim. I've had few more frustrating conversations in my life!! While we were finally able to get past their first line of defense (AB Balderas) and speak to a manager (Geoff Burgess), they are well trained to completely avoid any rational discussion and merely tell you that they have the right to reimburse you at pennies on the dollar and anything more is out of their "goodwill". Then they hard sell you with a "final offer" that expires and goes away if you don't accept it. In this case, their "final offer" for all of the damage that they caused was ~60% of our cost to replace the single rug that they destroyed and only ~25% of the value of the actual damage they created. No matter how nice they seem on the front end, Emil, Mark and their other managers simply do not stand behind the service. There are plenty of other moving companies out there, so please take my word for it and avoid this company like the plague. This moving company damage my floors. They won't make good on the extra insurance I had bought thru them. They want to settle for 200 dollars when the damage is roughly 750-1000 dollars. Amber and Jon are both incompetent to deal with. Both state they have no manager or supervisor for us to speak to. We will be report them to the BBB. I even recommended them for a friends move and Unfortunatly they already used them but I will NEVER recommend them again. WORST COMPANY and claim agents to deal with. Let me start by saying how horrible, unprofessional,unethical and incompetent this company is. What should have been the most simple move for an elderly woman became a nightmare! She literally had 27 items and from start to finish the entire thing was a nightmare. Day one we were given 4 different arrival times for the movers none which were kept. During the packing we asked why her belongings weren't tagged or at least her name written on any of them. Thank goodness we had tagged her furniture in advance to make it clear this was not an entire house move just a few of her items. The explanation was the truck was "personalized" according to whose things were being put in it(Red Flag) Her closet was put in boxes we were under the assumption that there was an inventory list, I mean these guys are professionals right! A few days later we got a call her items would be delivered the next day (24hrs) between the hours of xyz. Well thank goodness we didn't leave our home because who pulls up at 6:20 pm same day...The drivers and when I tell you it all went down hill fast ! They told us they had no idea they were coming to our address it was a last minute phone call from their operations manager. Once the truck was opened it was obvious to us none of the items we could see were hers and to make matters worse their operation person BRUCE was only interested is collecting payment he cared ZERO that the items we were looking at were not hers. So you're demanding payment when we are simply trying to find out if somewhere on this truck hidden in someone else things were hers. We asked if they could take the things out so we could find hers do you know BRUCE threatened to lock the truck up ! At which point we said go ahead it will sit here for a week with a Sheriff until we can verify what's on it. The pictures enclosed are someone else's items thrown onto the driveway not wrapped after we were forced to pay or my 79 year old mother would not get her things even though she had already made two payments prior to the delivery of her items. BRUCE called the guys on the truck SEVERAL times to tell them not to let us see what was on it! Imagine that we paid for your services and now there's a problem instead of helping to resolve the issue you're literally holding someone's belongings "hostage" because you think you can and by the way threatening your client is not a good business practice. Fast forward to them taking her items off the truck only to now discover none of her wardrobes were on the truck NONE ! And of course the guys who packed the truck lost her inventory list did not leave one and the guys on the truck didn't have it either !! So now we're left with calling the original contact to get the list talking to someone else to see how to find all her clothes it's now 10pm. There was ZERO follow up just a bunch of fake promises,contacted customer service who had her fill out in detail the items giving her some hope of at least receiving help to replace her missing items, only to be slapped in the face with $100 in compensation when THEY lost an estimated $2500.00 worth of clothes, shoes and personal items! It is beyond DISGUSTING! We're still waiting for that promised phone call from someone in the corporate offices to call and figure out what else can be done. We will not hold our breath but I will ensure everyone knows how despicable these people are to have put an elderly person through this ordeal without even an apology to the tune of $3000.00. They showed up 1 1/2 hours late. They were very slow getting everything packed up. They did not bring enough packing supplies. As a result of slow movement we had to pay more than we anticipated. The manager was unresponsive and condescending and did not offer us any discount especially after showing up late and making it a much more stressful day than necessary. read more

I don't like to give bad reviews but in this case it is necessary. All My Sons Moving handle my move on Sept 20 from Coconut Creek, FL to Parrish, FL. First, Lead mover, Miguel worked hard to get the move handled. He was very professional and courteous. However, his partner was not. The first day, his partner talked on his cell phone most of the time with his buddies. The conversations were loud, continuous and not in the best taste. He told his buddy he was moving a "white lady". The move time took twice as long as it should have and delayed my drive to Parrish that afternoon. Had he focused on my move that day rather than his phone conversations, the move would have been handled much more efficient and quicker. He told me he was called 8 am that morning to handle my moving job which he was not expecting. Sounds like poor planning on the company's part and staffing issues. I was told the furniture would be wrapped as well as pictures, especially the large pictures. Some of the furniture was wrapped with moving blankets but not the plastic wrap that most movers use. Some of the furniture including some of the leather furniture was not wrapped at all even though I asked that it be done. I now have a leather tear on my sofa. The pictures were not wrapped at all even though I was told they would be. One was damaged because of this. I have scratches on the wood furniture as well. None of these damages were there before the move. Pictures attached The guys told me there wasn't much room left in the truck and still needed to load the dining room table? They then told me they were done moving everything, but I showed them there was still a tv in guest bedroom, pictures on walls, etc. I took most of the pictures down off the walls myself which I was under impression the movers would do. Again, they were not wrapped or secured in anyway. I gave them my vacuum cleaner and broom to pack last of all since I was cleaning behind them as they cleared the items out of my house onto the truck. They said there was not enough room left on the truck for them. I said they had to take them, I did not have room in my car. How can the furnishings in a small 3 bedroom house not all fit in a huge moving truck? I never got the broom back. Before they left my house, one of the guys decided to relieve himself in my guest bathroom with the door open! I was floored to say the least and disgusted! Both guys arrived the next morning in Parrish around 11 am. Miguel estimated the day before they would be there around that time. A phone call that morning would have been nice to let me know they were on their way or arriving soon. I was pleased however they did make it to my Parrish home at that time. First thing that seemed to be a priority was to collect the remaining balance from me. Miguel asked me at least 3-4 times to pay the balance since his laptop was not downloading my moving job properly. I would think the balance of payment would not be due until the moving job was complete? Apparently, All My Sons makes it a priority to collect money from their customers before making sure the move is handled completely, properly and professionally. My daughter used a different moving company a week before who were lightning fast, wrapped all furniture with plastic and professional She had 3 movers for a small condo. She said they did an excellent job, she had nothing damaged. They did not ask for her balance to be paid until the move was completed and she was satisfied with the job. I had 2 movers for a 3 bedroom house which took way too long the first day. All My Sons made this a very stressful and unpleasant move. I will be recommending the other moving company (2 Guys and a Truck) over All My Sons in the future. I have expressed my dissatisfaction with one of their administrators who called me to give a 5 star review. I never got a call back from Marcos who was the sales rep I signed the contract with. I did get a call back from another manager Brad, who was not apologetic or sincere in the least. He told me the movers had been spoken to and were told they would be fired if this every happened again. He asked me "What did I want?" I requested full refund, his response was NO. I then requested half refund, again he said NO. He offered $250 or file damage claims at the most as a refund which in no way compensated me for the aggravation, damage & stress I endured with this company. I had no choice but to accept a $250 refund for which I paid over $3000! I do not want other customers to go through what I experienced so I wanted to share with you the poor experience I had with All My Sons Moving company. I do not recommend. read more
