On the day of pickup, after they began inventory, they suddenly claimed the cost would be $2,500. This was unexpected and felt like a bait-and-switch tactic. Later, I received a bill for $3,400 -- double the original quote. Paragon told me I only needed to call 4 days before my desired delivery date. I followed their instructions, and they initially offered delivery for Thursday, instead of my requested Saturday. I declined due to scheduling and asked for confirmation of a Friday or Saturday delivery. After that, they stopped responding to texts and calls completely. I didn't receive a reply until Friday afternoon, when they informed me that my items hadn't even left yet -- and wouldn't be packed until the following Monday, with no estimated delivery date. As a result, I had to move into a new apartment with my 3-year-old child, without furniture, a bed, or basic necessities. This created an enormous burden and stress for my family. We eventually received our belongings one week after the requested delivery date -- and not even from Paragon. The delivery was handled by a completely separate moving company they subcontracted without informing us. That team was more professional, but some of our boxes arrived wet, one piece of furniture was broken, and a printer was missing. Paragon only offered minimal coverage ($0.60 per pound), which does not come close to covering the damaged or missing items. Filing a claim under those terms is virtually pointless. When I first spoke with Paragon, they reassured me that they were not brokers and that the move would be simple and stress-free. However, after the contract was signed, they became almost impossible to reach, changed the pricing, delayed delivery without notice, and ultimately subcontracted the delivery to someone else. After my experience, I researched their reviews and discovered dozens of nearly identical complaints -- ranging from overcharging and lost items to deceptive communication and fake 5-star reviews. Their Yelp page is full of detailed warnings from other consumers, but their Facebook page appears curated, with only vague, overly positive reviews and no trace of the negative feedback many have shared elsewhere. I would never use this company again and strongly warn others against trusting them. I'm filing this complaint to help protect other families and request a formal investigation into Paragon Van Lines for deceptive and harmful business practices.

He is super friendly and was able to quote my move after sending him pictures of my belongings. The end rate was exactly as quoted, so there were no surprises! What is quoted, is what you pay. Norbert will text and call with updates. They were able to get my move in about 2 hours early, which was great! Norbert showed up to my current residence personally with a few documents to sign, and then let the team go to work on loading my items. I would say it took them less than 20 minutes, 4 men and a 1BR apartment. They are super efficient. They came prepared with extra packing materials and wrapped my couch, dresser, and large mirror in protective wrap. The movers showed up to my new address 20 miles away just shortly after I did. They moved everything upstairs and asked how I wanted things arranged to place them. Mind you, I was moving from 900 square feet to 450 square feet, but they did the best they could at arranging where everything should be and did a great job! They set up the bed and asked to set up anything else, but all was good. Total time= less than 2 hours for a 1 BR move to another city. $420 flat rate. Tips for the hard working gentlemen. And the owner there along the way. Reliable, hard working, efficient, honest, and professional team! I have never had a moving company that was this easy to work with, let alone this communicative.
