Eddie and one other worker prepped the area we were to have asphalt laid. It was our understanding the asphalt would be done the same day. We were advised it's best to wait 30 days after preparing the space. We went with his recommendation and Eddie scheduled Us for the first week of the following month. Eddie provided an amount for the work that was done and a check was provided for the full amount requested. We reached out at the end of the month and again was told the first week of the coming month. The week passed so we called Eddie again. He advised he would speak with us at the end of the second week to come back and lay the asphalt. He called and provided two days that the forecast said it would rain (Thursday and Friday). He then said if it rains he won't be able to come out. Finally we were tired of being put on hold. We called to cancel the service. He began giving excuses as to why he couldn't finish the job. He then said we would owe a balance if we canceled. The first text message provided a balance that was close to the price of the asphalt, when we questioned the amount as the work was paid for in full the same day, Eddie raised the amount and began calling names like Turd and a few profanity. We started off with such high hopes and now we are left trying to fix the eye sore that was left in our front yard.

I really wanted to have a positive experience with Prestige Concrete Edging, but unfortunately,…read moretheir business practices have been incredibly disappointing and, in my opinion, deceitful. To give you an idea of the situation: imagine budgeting $16k for a project. You meet with them, they walk the site, review the plans, and enthusiastically agree to the price to "earn your business." However, two weeks after signing the contract and handing over a deposit, they suddenly claimed the project would now cost $29K. My key Issues: Bait-and-Switch Pricing: The final quote was more than double the original agreed-upon price with vague and VERY inconsistent reasoning. Vanishing Deposit: When I chose to cancel due to the massive price hike, they claimed my entire deposit had already been "used up" on excavation. Lack of Integrity: They committed to a budget just to get the signature, only to move the goalposts immediately after. We are currently pursuing legal action to address these practices. This company is simply not worth the stress or the financial risk. I met many reputable masonry and concrete companies during my bidding phase--I strongly suggest you look elsewhere, you've been warned.
