I gave my address and never heard back, so I moved on to another company. Today, 10 days after they never responded after I gave my address, while in the middle of a meeting, I hear a bang outside and my dog freaks out. I go outside to find two men with a ladder against the front of my house and climbing to the roof! I had no idea they were coming and they were fully on their way to climbing up my house without my permission! The problem wasn't even on the roof, so I have no idea what they would have done once they got up there. When I messaged the company to say I didn't appreciate them coming unannounced and unscheduled, I was told it was my fault for not specifying that I expected a call before they showed up! Wild. Do NOT send this company your address--even for an estimate--or else they may randomly show up to your house and climb up on your roof unannounced and they will go up there whether you are home or not. Then if it bothers you they will blame YOU!

I have found Marcy the owner is to be straightforward and honest, and though she can be a bit brusque at times, as she is in the Philadelphia roofing business I can understand. Their pricing is reasonable for quality of work. No roofer is cheap and if you apparently find one, don't trust them. We have a complicated roofscape (skylights, large AC unit mounts and penetrations, and major crickets required to clear drainage obstructions) and some leaking problems that predate our ownership. Castelli, and particularly their foreman Jimmy, have been generous in attending to drainage problems that may or may not have been a result of their work. I appreciate their work and the efforts made to help us negotiate our finicky roof.

They are the contractors that YOU wished you hired. He is responsive via phone and text. Big Plus - Shows up every day (and sometimes Saturday). Another plus... His team works the full day. His estimate was spot on and very fair. He finished on time, so the project is not dragged out. He is trustworthy and gives honest recommendations (which we followed - glad we did). We started out with a few small items and with the quality of work he was producing - we added on. A few of things we had done new floors installed throughout 90% of the home paint every room popcorn ceiling gone! special designs in the hall and bedroom closet organization shelving recessed medicine cabinet all doors replaced new hardware the main project was our master bath which we love. We contracted this company to do work in August 2014. The tile installers were rushed by the…read morecompany's owner so they cut about two boxes of tiles wrong which had to be cut over again. Aside from the wasted material which cost us more money, the workers did a good job overall. Unfortunately, the owner of this company, Benjie, did not pick up his final payment on the last day of the job which was stipulated in the contract. I was on the job site the entire time and ready to present the check on the final day but with no one there to collect, it remained in my control book. I even did a walkthrough with one of the employees and no one asked for the check at that time. The owner wanted to pick the check up in person the next week but we live over an hour away. I was not going to drive two hours to hand someone a check that they should have picked up when we were all on site the week before. I told Benjie that I would gladly put the check in the mail and he said he was okay with that arrangement. It was put in the mail on Friday afternoon, the same day we spoke on the phone. He didn't receive the check by Tuesday morning so he had his office manager "tracie" call our clients, (where the ceiling tiles were installed), and threaten to put a lien on THEIR property! He had "Tracie" call and attempt to intimidate our clients for several days before that which I was also made aware of on that very same Tuesday. It is sad because I assured Benjie that we were putting his check in the mail ... and WE did. Instead of following up with me, he threatened our clients? So much for good business practices. We immediately placed a "stop payment" on the check, issued a credit card authorization payment minus the $30 stop payment fee and will NEVER do business with this unethical company again. I am pleased that our clients had trust and faith in our company even though they were alarmed and mortified by the personal threats from Diversified Ceilings. Their tactics are unacceptable. There are plenty of ceiling tile companies in the area. I would highly recommend going elsewhere.

I hired Starr Septic for a septic system installation at my property, and the experience has been…read moreextremely disappointing. After they supposedly completed the installation, we discovered an open, uncovered hole in the yard near the septic area, creating a serious safety hazard. I notified them on March 6 about the issue, yet it has not been addressed with the urgency it requires. Because of this, I have not been able to safely move into the property, especially with children involved. I raised this concern multiple times with Jeanine and Michael, and the lack of follow-up and poor customer service has been unacceptable. Communication has been inconsistent, and there has been little accountability in resolving a problem that should have been fixed immediately. What's also frustrating is that Starr Septic was very quick to push for payment with deadlines and due dates, but that same level of urgency has not been applied when it comes to follow-ups or fixing a serious issue they left behind. Leaving a job site in this condition after a paid installation is completely unacceptable. This is a basic safety issue that should never require repeated follow-ups from the customer. If you are considering using Starr Septic, I strongly recommend closely monitoring their work and ensuring everything is completed properly before considering the job done.
