However, when I received the invoice for approval, a $199 installation trip charge had been added. I called Ms. Farmer to ask about discharge stating that I confirmed several times with her during her in-person visit what the total cost would be. I found it very deceptive that she never disclosed that the total price she was giving me did not include installation. She never disclosed or talked about an additional installation fee during her in-home visit. Therefore, I assumed the total price she was giving me included the installation. This $199 "Installation Trip Charge" as they call it increases my total cost by over 16%. I refuse to work with someone, or a company that is so deceptive! When a customer asks you what the total cost will be, I expect a salesperson to be truthful about it and not hide the additional installation fee in the final invoice for approval without saying a word about it when asked for the total cost during the in-home visit! This borders on "unfair business practices" as defined by the Federal Trade Commission! I recommend using a different company!!

It took three months, start to finish, to get new treatments installed on every window in our 1700 square foot house. Justin patiently walked through options with us, consulted on colors, went through samples to get us the right order for every room, and then came back and installed everything when it came in. We had some minor trouble with the back door, and Justin reordered the blind, came back out, and reinstalled it for us. I think this is the best experience we've had with any home update so far.

Looking for shutters and blinds combo. We met with Dallas and he he was very attentive and took the time to listen to our needs and than focus to show us what we were looking for etc. Didn't try to up sell us which is pleasant thus allowing customers to decide for themselves, yet taking his recommendations into consideration. Ironically, Cyndi was "off" that Saturday but she just happen to swing, so happy to have met her. She "chatted" a little bit and allowed Dallas to take care of us which we were ok with. I found Made In The Shade through Costco. In the end, I did NOT go with Made In The Shade, but rather Rockwell Shutters (through Home Depot). They have higher quality products, and more affordable prices. I do want to say that Alex and Cyndi were very nice people though. They simply could not beat the products/pricing of Rockwell Shutters. I highly suggest you do your own research and ask lots of questions if you are looking to purchase custom window coverings.
