Since the very first time we saw our house, these five large windows (one of the first things you see as you walk up to our house) have been an eye-sore. When we bought the house, we assumed they just needed a good cleaning. It wasn't until we moved in that we realized that they would actually have to be replaced. About a month after moving in, we had three different window companies come out and give us quotes--they were all WAY more than we would ever be able to pay for windows (just as an example, one company quoted us $13,000 just to replace those five windows ‍), so for the last 2.5 years, we've just kept those blinds closed and tried to ignore the inability to see in or out of our windows. But, a couple of weeks ago, I heard about this local window company (a husband and wife team) called Lightning Glass! They had great reviews, so I contacted them...hoping for some miracle that perhaps they wouldn't quote us an exorbitant amount. They came out the same day I called them...measured and gave us the price, which was VERY reasonable!! Just to put it in perspective--their total price to replace/install the five main windows (plus three windows in our guest bedroom that have also needed to be replaced since day one) was significantly less than what the other company said ONE window would cost. So, we placed the order with Lightning Glass, and they said they'd be back to install in about ten business days. Well, yesterday was installation day, and I'll just let the "before and after" pictures speak for themselves. For the record, it's even better in person!! I really cannot say enough good things about Lightning Glass--if anyone needs anything window-related in the NB/Seguin/hill country/SA area, please look them up. You will not be disappointed!! They truly went above and beyond in every way...even installing hard to reach lightbulbs for us (while they were up there working on the windows), removing hardware/blinds on some of our other windows that weren't part of this replacement job, and removing a yucky film on a different set of windows that also weren't part of this job. I don't write very many reviews, but this company is too good not to share--from start to finish...they did not disappoint. We will never use anyone else if we have future window needs. read more

Lightning Glass is the absolute best option for windshield replacement in the New Braunfels area! It's not often these days that you get to deal directly with the owner of any business. Jerome (owner) and his son came to my house on the south side of Canyon Lake and replaced the windshield in my 2006 Mustang GT convertible. They arrived on time, performed the work professionally and expeditiously, and I could not possibly be more satisfied. As a certified old curmudgeon, I rarely review any service. But Lightning Glass is better by far than any I have ever seen. And, at my age, that is saying/writing quite a bit. Don't hesitate just because they have no physical address. I had a chip/crack on the windshield of my Motorhome and Safe Lite found and ordered the window. They had Lighting Glass as an installer so they were close to me, about 11 miles away. They called at about 615PM and said they had picked up the window from the shipper and would be out to install it. They arrived about 7PM started the removal and install of the new glass. They had the glass installed by 815PM and this is a huge glass. They were very professional and respectful of the property and owners. They cleaned up the shipping container, the old window and the debris associated with the install. I HIGHLY recommend this company and crew to anyone whom needs/wants their service. read more

If you need ANY kind of glass work done, these people were AMAZING!!!! They do indoor, outdoor, auto, and RV - basically anything! I spent over three hours on the phone with various companies trying to find someone who could replace a window on a 2004 travel trailer before someone recommended this company. They were extremely responsive to phone calls, came to my house to pick up the broken window, then delivered and installed the new window in less than 48 hours! And best of all ... they are just NICE people. This is not a big company out to make big bucks - they are a local small business who believes in truly helping their customers! I needed to have my front windshield replaced on my motorhome. I contacted Lightning Glass. I spoke with Jerome. He was a true professional. Jerome said he would be able to replace my windshield in (2) two weeks. 7 days later Jerome dropped off my windshield in the morning. Jerome and his team were installing my windshield by late afternoon. He pays attention to details. making sure the framework is prepared prior to installing the windshield. I don't want to sound sacrilegious, but Jerrome, with Lightning Glass is somewhat of a savior to us. We are building a house, and long, sad story short, we were going to be delayed due to two very large windows that were unsatisfactory. I called Jerrome, and... another long and arduous story short, he jumped into action, and within one week, he measured, manufactured, and installed two BEAUTIFUL, giant picture windows in our home. Excellent Customer Service and Performance! They came out to the house the same day I called. It was a tough job: 2 custom glass plates to be cut down and installed into an antique table. The fit had to be exact and tight so that had great support and no rattle. They did the work on site at the house, no delays. In short order the job was done to perfection. I called all around town after my car had been broken into because I didn't want to spend one more day driving with it down in the heat, and no one had my glass to my back door in stock. after being stoodup by two big companies Lightning Glass was called by chance. they were able to get the windshield for my car at 430 pm, then come to my house and fix my car... all within a matter of 3hr. guess that is how they get their name. my 5 year old wanted to watch and the gentalman was very kind and explained what he was doing, which took extra time. i am very glad i called lightning glass and will do again if i ever have a need for glass. read more

Our RV windshield needed replacing and we scheduled to leave on a trip in a few weeks. The windshield was shipped to the wrong depot and no one called to say it was there. Lightning glass is great! I bought a pair of window luvers online, for my 2013 mustang. I called to get them installed and the service and work was phenomenal. The job required unexpected interior trim cutting, but this wasn't a problem for lightning glass! My luvers fit perfectly now and my mustang looks like a whole new car now. read more
