Our guide was a delightful young woman attending school in Tucson and studying nuclear medicine, which we thought was incredibly impressive. I have unfortunately forgotten her name, but she was absolutely wonderful, and we really enjoyed talking with her throughout the ride. The trail was easy, relaxing, and perfect for simply enjoying the scenery. We rode mostly through the beautiful pine trees and even passed alongside a small lake where geese were peacefully paddling around. The entire ride lasted about an hour and a half, which felt like the perfect amount of time. Both of our horses had such sweet personalities and were incredibly well behaved, making the experience comfortable and enjoyable from beginning to end. We also met the owner while checking in, and she has the cutest little store. Be sure to arrive early so you have time for a little impulse shopping before your ride! Porter Mountain Stables gave us such a memorable Pinetop experience. Remember to tip your guide, take lots of pictures, and enjoy every minute of your ride through the pines!

I have been leaving my two small fur babies pet dogs with her when I leave town, because quite frankly...I have looked around the Laketop-Pinetop- Showlow area for many options for my pets...and I cannot find any other boarding place in the area like them: the staff clearly loves their work, the owner is responsible and trustworthy...and the boarding place is built on a property that is very animal friendly which I am sure the boarding " guests " definitely enjoy while they are there. I've never had such a great experience with a stable and the ladies who run it. Corrin the barn manager is so attentive to my horses needs and is always giving me updates when I have to go back down to flagstaff for a few days. I also get to pay for turnouts that is super helpful so my horse can get some love when I'm gone. Bess the horse training (and much more) at the barn is so knowledgeable and loves horses. She has taught me so much about riding and how to go back to the crucial basics. The barn hands are so kind and Jayden helps out with exercising horses and clean up around the barn. And she's one of the most knowledge teens I know. I attended a camp this summer for desensitization for the horses. And it's the best thing I've ever done with my horse. We worked with tarps, stuffed animals, sparkly strings, American flags, and so much more! They also have endless beautiful trails to ride on right from the barn! I highly recommend this stable to anyone looking to come to flagstaff! They love horses and really care about each horse.

She was so nice and kept asking us if there was anything else we needed to let her know. The ranch is a beautiful place, the stalls are so clean you could eat off of the floor. The water tanks in each stall is full of fresh water for your horses and they are clean. Her staff is kind and courteous. i am planning another trip to her ranch and would recommend it to anyone.
