[[HIGHLIGHT]]I called for a same day appointment due to possible immediate care. The woman who answered the phone after I described the issues stated the earliest I could have an appointment is Jan 3.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]She stated to go to nearest ER hospital in flagstaff a 2 hour drive would be best after she stated what it could be.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Thank goodness she had emergency surgery and her uterus did not rupture and she is recovering today. Thanks again. Nancy Jackson

While traveling across the country to our new home, my beautiful chihuahua Pixie was sicker than we realized. It was just fortuitous that we were in Arizona for an extra day. We noticed that she was having labored breathing so we found a vet clinic that was open which was Alta Sierra Veterinary Clinic. They told me that exam and initial xray was going to be around $300 which I didn't care. I just wanted to know what was wrong with my dog. A few minutes later, the vet and 2 techs came in to the exam room; I knew that the news wasnt going to be good. The vet told me that even if they could temporarily treat Pixie she still only had a 20% survival rate to our new home. At that point I knew that Pixie was suffering and the best course of action was to put her down. It was so hard on me. The grief was immense. The staff at Alta Sierra was so supportive and helped me through the grieving process. They gave me a print of her nose and foot as well as a ceramic imprint of her paw. They even waived a lot of the charges knowing how much I loved my Pixie. It was so nice that they sent a follow up card to my new address and had everyone put kind words on it. I know that Pixie is no longer suffering. Alta Sierra staff went way beyond my expectations for care for my dog and me. Thank you ftom the bottom of my heart.. Aaron

Oh my, the staff here is so ver wonderful!! We were on vacation 8+ hours from home. They were able to get us in as an urgent care visit (it's half the price of the other guys btw) and they were so accommodating to all of my concerns. Since I had no idea what to expect I was pleasantly surprised by the wonderful veterinarian who helped us along with the rest of the kind vet techs and secretary. My golden retriever got extremely sick on our car ride from SoCal to Arizona and I thought he might have caught parvo. It turns out he stressed himself out on his first long car ride so badly, he was having bloody stools. Thank goodness he was okay because, I thought he was dying! The staff was so wonderful I felt relieved when he didn't have to stay there. They did labs and X-rays and we did a more reserved assessment over the agreesive of fluids and staying the night but they did treat him while we were there. He had some extra fluids so he didn't get more dehydrated and he got a special bland diet for the couple days while we were out in the area. They called to check in on my boy Leo the next day, which was so sweet! He did great and we thankfully just had a stressed out dog, who did fine all the way home. Leo says thank you!

Took care of my boxer and they were really respectful of everything!! Thank you guys so much!

So happy with the vet care my little stray Kitty received! Dr. Lorakate Snyder, and techs Erin, and Lacee gave her loving tender care and treated her so gently, she was purring a lot of the time! Will be taking my 2 beloved dogs to see Dr. Snyder as well. Best clinic ever!

Here is our happy Bella

White Mountain Animal Hospital got me in same day even though we had never been there before. I didn't have much of a weight when I was there and the technician and the Vet were quick and efficient and pleasant. They even showed me how much it was going to be before it all happened. While I was out in the waiting room, anybody who came out of a room that worked there greeted me with kind words and a smile. The technician brought out antibiotics for my cat, I had a little trouble with my credit card, so I had to call them and was on hold for a long while, in the meantime, Amanda, the receptionist put my antibiotics in a bag with an ice pack so she wouldn't forget to give it to me and it would stay cold. After our visit, I got not one but two phone calls to check up on us. These are very caring people and I suggest them highly and I'm so glad I found them Thanks to one of my customers telling me about Dr. Bratcher. my cat and I were at ease the whole time. Highly recommend White Mountain Animal Hospital and their wonderful employees.

She had just stuck to sort of large things up to dog's butt and I think she was pretty rough while doing it. She pissed the dog off. Maybe she needs to go back to veterinarian school or go to McDonald's and flip burgers.

We crossed paths with Charlie Brown & his brother Snoopy (of course) when we visited a Hotel / RV…read morePark Resort in Guaymas Mexico. They were living under a garbage dumpster and surviving on small bugs. At 2 pounds each there was no way they could get up into that dumpster where the good stuff was. Needless to say, when we left several months later, they were our new traveling companions. Upon arriving back in the states we took them to a vet that we TRUSTED. Bad news ! Charlie Brown had feline leukemia ! For the next 9 years they were as tough as junkyard dogs (or cats) . Then about 10 days ago Charlie started bloating up,he quit eating and drinking much, and wanted to sleep in a dark spot all day. Was his leukemia rearing it's ugly head after all this time, we wanted to know, but were afraid to ask ? We were spending the summer in a strange town, 240 miles each way from his vet, but we crossed our fingers and starting looking on the internet for some HELP. We found Alta Sierra Veterinary Hospital, which is owned by Dr. Kristin Bell. Her clinic's web-site is extremely professional. Extremely. She claims to have a CARING STAFF and the dozen or so reviews (on her website) back her up to a pet. All those reviews and not a single negative syllable ? We rushed Charlie the 45 miles into town on a Monday and after checking him in (paper-work) Ms Bell came into the room and starting reviewing the situation. Did we want to check him for the leukemia virus ? Not necessary we replied, their was no doubt about it. Did we know which virus ? No. Well, she could drain a small amount of the bloating fluid and could tell by looking at it. OK ,but why not drain all the fluid I asked ? No answer. She was busy picking Charlie up to take him and drain some fluid. THIS WAS THE FIRST TIME SHE TOUCHED HIM. Upon returning a few minutes later she told us which virus he had. It was either 3 or 4 initials. Neither of us would later remember. She would give us a prescription that might slow things a bit and she had some cat food high in protein that would be good for him. We waited a long time for the prescription, paid our bill ($275.00), and left. As luck would have it we had to return on Wednesday for a doctor's appointment for me. I asked my wife to go into the clinic and find out which virus Charlie had and to get some of that cat food Dr. Bell had suggested. She was informed the doctor was out of the office for the rest of the week, their was no record of which virus Charlie had, and they had no idea which food she had recommended. Good-bye, who's next ? Could they send her an e-mail for the info. NO NO She's out of town ! $275.00 and they couldn't answer 2 simple questions ? They knew we had a cat that was dying, but where was all that COMPASSION ? We've been in a lot of veterinarian's offices. We know COMPASSION when we see it. NOT HERE
