We were greeted right away by a friendly staff, and the owner, Tom, was there to answer all my questions. Tom gave me great advice on how get my picky eater to eat! It works when I use it but so hard to say no to Roy when he wants something tasty like shredded cheese sprinkled on his food, or freshly baked chicken right out of the oven. He has become spoiled. We booked anyway. The staff/groomers didn't even seem to like dogs. They started by dragging our dogs away by their leashes...not even talking to them or acknowledging them. Pickup was chaotic. Four dogs being groomed at the same time. Dogs, including ours, barking like crazy in the back room where they're kenneled. I waited 10 minutes - listening to my dogs the whole time. The staff who rang up the transaction did not make eye contact or even speak to me other than when I asked a question and then they still didn't make eye contact and gave the shortest answer possible. There are also a bunch of spots of hair they missed when they did the cut portion of the groom and both dogs had dirt/wax inside their ears after the clean/groom. One of the dogs had two cuts on her chest from the groomer and nobody even mentioned it to me when I picked them up. We will never go back and now I understand why they had so many openings. I share this in case you have nervous dogs and/or would prefer to avoid this type of experience. Edited to add: Petco Minnetonka/Hopkins offered a refund which is the best they can do at this point and I appreciate it. I updated my rating from one star to two because a refund doesn't change the experience.
