Majid is a very good driving instructor. He helped me pass on my first try. patient and easy to work with.

I gave numerous allowances for things not their fault as a result of the pandemic. That said, their communication is terrible. They do not return emails but sometimes return voicemails. Their instructors change session times last minute, eat lunch while they are supposed to be supervising, etc. I went because of their good reputation, but apparently it is the Richmond Hill location that has the good reputation. Highly unprofessional instructor I opted for the online portion of the driver's ed and the 10 hours in car lessons. The online portion was great but the in-person lessons were not beneficial for me at all. A lot of my friends and classmates had used this driving school so I was quite excited to start. But my driving instructor, Amy, was incredibly disrespectful and unprofessional. Our one-hour classes would be cut short to 45-50 minutes. She would 100% of the time talk on the phone during the lessons and speak in her native language quite loudly, which I have multiple recordings of. She always had an unpleasant look on her face and would book me on dates I did not agree to and then would charge me for those classes. On top of that, I was not taught the minor important details for passing the test as she would be too preoccupied talking on the phone. I did not learn about roadside stops, we went over reverse parking maybe twice and parallel once and I was never told to check my mirrors or to move to the rightmost lane. These tiny things are crucial for passing the road test and I did not learn much from it. She had checked it all off on her list but half the things I did not learn. The vibes I got from her were unpleasant, it felt like she did not want to be there and it did not make a good experience. My advice, if you are going to go with this driving school, is don't be afraid to speak up if you want a new driving teacher. I was scared to contact the school as I thought it would be rude, but after all you are paying for the service. On that note, once I finished my driving school I emailed all star and it took them one month and 3 follow-up emails for a response. But the number may be a better way to contact them. Nevertheless, stand up for yourself so you can get a good driving instructor and learn what you need to know. Now I have a private driving instructor and he is great, although I am paying extra I am 100% prepared for the test! read more

This driving school is illegal. Just like the other reviewer said. 10 hours of driving lessons will take many months to complete due to cancellations and flops on their part. Instructors also take long to answer calls/texts and/or tell you to call back later and won't pick up. Also apparently an insurance certificate can only be issued within 1 year after the in class lessons and you must finish all driving lessons in order to get it. With this driving school, that is impossible. They had the nerve to tell me I had to pay an extra $50 because my lessons expire after 1 year. read more

I purchased the Basic package back in late 2021 and, as is normally done, started in-car lessons after studying the modules. However, the school gave me no more than a single lesson per week despite the fact that I was heading off to a distant city for university just some time later. Hearing from my instructor that All Star was extending the 1-year validity of packages purchased during the pandemic, I took the 5 in-car lessons that I could within the holidays and left for university, thinking I'd be able to complete my package when I'm back for the summer. But to my disappointment, I was told when I returned this month that my package had expired and that my remaining 5 in-car lessons are now invalid. 1-year validity yet they couldn't even give me more than a single lesson per week during the couple months that I was available? They could've at the very least given me my 5 lessons, barring the MTO certificate. But what did they do instead? They asked me to buy the package again, just with a tiny discount of $40! Absolutely ridiculous. I would not recommend this driving school to any student on a budget. read more

Terrible school!!!! They take take and take your money. Your kid will not learn to be a good driver here because instructors are busy talking on phone during lessons. They don't even teach the kids the rules of the road. And office staff is extremely rude and ignorant. Waste of money and time. Would rate "0". 1 is too high. read more

Extremely rude employee answering the phone that lacks in customer service. If she is stressed out and unable to multitask, she should learn to be better organized so she doesn't give customers attitude. It's not the customers fault that she's busy. Learn to be professional. read more

This driving school was amazing. They teach you everything about the rules of the road which is very useful as a new driver such as myself. My driving instructor was Shehzad and he truly was an amazing teacher. He worked with me every week and ensured that I knew how to properly do everything such as parallel parking, three point turn, forward and reverse parking, etc. and gave very useful tips on how to do all these things. He really prepared me for my G2 test. read more

Mixed feelings. The in class lessons were informative and the written test at the end of them wasn't hard. I did it in 4 consecutive full day classes over the summer, so it was fast. The homework was easy but I had to do some research for it. The location was super sketchy though, and the entrance was on the side of the plaza buildings, it took forever for me to find it. The driving classes were good, I haven't taken my G2 yet, but I have improved a lot. They teach you parallel parking, regular parking, three point turns, turing left and right, etc. However, there were a few things I didn't like. My driving instructor was Dean, and although he definitely knew what he was doing and gave helpful pointers, he gets frustrated and annoyed if you do one thing wrong or if you forget anything. However, he gets excited when you finally do something the right way. Also, if you schedule a lesson with him, he will always come 15 minutes earlier. Always. Kinda catches you off guard but whatever. There were also times where i would schedule two hours or one hour and a half lessons but he would just pick up another student and drop me off after an hour. He's on his phone sometimes and he also drives without shoes or socks...kinda gross. Overall, this school was fine. I would probably recommend it. read more

I am a student that attended the all-star driving school. My instructor was Tasawar. She would always answer my calls and messages as soon as possible and her times available to book a driving lesson was convenient for me. She was very nice, patient and attentive when I was driving as she would compliment me when driving well, but also give me the next steps to ensure that I am prepared for my driving test. In addition, one year is a lot of time to get all your lessons done, as long as you message your instructor you can book a driving lesson in your convenience. I would highly recommend the all-star driving school, as my experience was great with them. read more
