Couldn't walk her on a leash and no one could approach her without her peeing and getting into submission mode. Later she walked on a leash but pulled like crazy. It was no fun walking her. We wanted to help her but didn't know how. We were referred to Elena a dog trainer who someone we worked with said it helped her dog. We inquired about her program and it was a lengthy 21 days and it was higher than the amount we were thinking of spending. We needed to do something though and decided to pay the money and help this sweet dog live a more normal life and help us with the stress of her issues. We decided to do it on a vacation time where we would have had to pay for the 10 days we were away to have someone watch her it helped with our issues on the cost. We are so glad we did. Our dog is so much better now. She walks on a leash very well but walks off leash even better. She listens and follows our commands very well. Shes a completely different dog. Elena did an incredible job training our dog and I would recommend her program to anyone. You won't regret it.

When we adopted Cooper from an animal shelter few months back, Cooper seemed always happy and excited but yet gets easily scared by so many things and follows none of our commands. We tried training Cooper ourselves but that didn't work. After witnessing amazing results on Mike and Chelsey's Odin, we decided to bring Cooper to Elena. At the end of a week of training, Cooper is now so well behaved, calm, and confident. He follows our directions pretty well! We definitely recommend Elena Miller's Dogs Unleashed K9 Training!

Javier,…read moreour Australian Labradoodle, has been going to My Dogs Got Class since he was around 10 weeks old and has been thriving in these programs. Since he was young when we started, we first spoke with our vet to confirm they were okay with him going and under their guidance we planned his vaccines accordingly. Our vet also praised us for starting classes at an early age as these programs help lay down the foundation for a well-mannered and happy pup and also strength our bond. While participating in the puppy programs offered at My Dogs Got Class Javier has had early exposure to training and socialization. The trainers help to break down lessons into bite-sized chunks which makes it easy for us and Javi to absorb and remember. The incremental learning approach, focusing on name recall, collar/harness handling, and coming when called, is invaluable. We are confident that should any emergency situation ever occur, we are prepared to safely reunite with Javi. The trainers knowledge and informative guidance have built my trust in them. They make every session a joy and have helped us navigate any bad behaviors and offer us guidance on how to correct them. The socialization aspect is also fantastic; Javier gets to interact with other dogs and foster proper play behavior while a trained expert watches over. Our puppy's newfound skills are a testament to the effectiveness of the puppy programs offered at My Dogs Got Class. If you're looking to set your new puppy up for a lifetime of good behavior and happiness, the puppy programs at My Dogs Got Class is the way to go!

She came home in shock and growled at our other dog (who she loves and has never previously growled at). Whatever they did during the day together, she was affected quite negatively. We've tried several trainers and boarding facilities in various cities and states. We even resorted to trying a famous YouTube trainer and he came back worse and even more anxious. Typically, these expensive "board and trains" we've participated in have ended with medication recommendations and a "good luck". One final trainer recommended we try Mind Of Dog because she also wasn't able to break through. I'm so grateful we did. He's thriving and comes home exhausted. An added bonus is the people training we've received. The best part of all of it, is that he's finally getting the exercise and structure he's always needed and deserves. They handle the dogs calmly, but with lots of structure and clear boundaries, which our dog desperately needs. We can finally go to work and travel without worrying that he's being mishandled or ignored. We're so grateful to have found this place and I have to admit, I was waiting for him to fail again, because we had lost all hope. I highly recommend that you give Mind Of Dog a shot, especially if you're in a similar position as we were. Thanks, Mind of Dog! Senna loves you all and is so grateful to be able to play with dogs without fear and anxiety.

Although Chica was never aggressive, she did jump all over people in a frenzy (including young children) or dogs we encountered at home or on walks in the community. She also took every opportunity to run off and socialize when we tried to do activities off leash in our yard. She came when called under ideal conditions but showed no interest in coming when something new caught her attention. We did not feel like she was well connected to us even though she had been with us from a very young age. Courtney was helpful, caring, and professional during our initial phone call inquiring about services. So, we left Chica with Courtney for 2 weeks of Balanced K9 training. We missed Chica, but not that much. She had become quite difficult to manage. Courtney was great about sending short video clips and updates of Chica's progress. It was clear that she was working on all the problem areas we had described and that she did it in a calm, caring, and loving way. Courtney brought Chica back to us after the training and was very generous with her time in teaching us how to maintain the skills Chica had learned. The change in Chica and our relationship with her has been astounding. It is like her maturation was fast forwarded. She is still very active and playful, but able to meet people and other dogs more calmly. Her walks in the community (on leash with no tugging or lunging) are a pleasure. Meetings with other dogs and their owners are now fun and uneventful. We no longer worry that she might accidentally hurt someone in the frenzied enthusiasm of her greetings. We used to constantly watch to make sure she didn't run away. Now, she seems to be watching us to make sure that we don't run away. Her attachment to us is much more positive and secure. Chica returned 6 weeks ago, and she continues to get better every day. The upsides for Chica are that she gets to do many more outside activities off leash, and we show her a great deal more love because she is so sweet and responsive. We very strongly recommend Courtney to help you find the dog you hoped for.

As first-time dog owners, we tried our best to train Millie on our own, but it just wasn't cutting it. We constantly struggled with obedience and her inability to listen to us, intense pulling when we went on walks, jumping, getting mouthy - the list goes on and on. We felt defeated and insecure - but as soon as we talked with Jean and Linda at NJ Fix My Dog, we felt hopeful! They assured us Millie was the kind of dog that could be helped, and they'd be happy to step in.  Throughout Millie's 2 week bootcamp, we received frequent updates from Linda on Millie's progress, photos, and videos. We missed her but we knew she was in excellent care and learning so much everyday. After the 2 week bootcamp, Linda brought Millie home and we were in shock at how well-behaved, and well-mannered suddenly became. The day she came home, Linda spent over an hour with us going over what Millie learned and how to work with her going forward. She also gave us a full document with an assessment of Millie's overall behavior, how to continue to enforce what she learned, and how encourage her along the way.  Before bootcamp, we dreaded going for a walk with Millie because of how she behaved when she saw other dogs (pulling toward them, whimpering, getting anxious, etc.), and how she walked in general (tugging and zig-zagging the entire walk). Now she walks like an absolute DREAM! Right at our side, a nice little trot, ignores other dogs, people, squirrels - everything! We could walk her all day long now, and we look forward to all our walks! Millie used to ignore us when we called for her, or told her "no" if she was doing something we didn't like, but now her recall skills are excellent and she runs right over to us when we call her. She doesn't even try to attempt the bad behavior she used to do, like jumping, getting mouthy, etc., and instead happily relaxes. Her overall demeanor used to be just a little bit intense, always on the lookout for something to get into - but now she is so calm and seems at east with herself. Linda worked WONDERS! We learned so much about Millie through this process, and we truly feel comfortable with what Linda taught us to help Millie be her best self. We feel like we have the tools we need, and the confidence. We feel the support of NJ Fix My Dog now even after Millie is back home - we know Linda is just a call or text away if we need any help.
