The scheduled pick-up date, as planned via the U-Haul website was July 4th. I know that isn't the best date to begin the process of moving, but the U-Haul site said it was bookable. Upon arriving at the scheduled time of 8AM, the attendant was not there. When contacted over the phone, he mentioned he was running late. He got there about 30 minutes later than the arranged time. That was not too bad, but what made it upsetting was that we had requested furniture moving pads, and some kind of trolley to help us move larger items of furniture. We were not able to get either of these items; they said they did not have any available, and even said a homeless person probably stole them from the lot. The truck was fine, and we made it work for our purposes, but I would not use this contract company again, as it seemed they were not prepared for our rental, and didn't have the equipment that we paid for/reserved.

Got up there to pick it up and the installation was perfect and the interior was clean and everything was in its place. Moses and his wife run a genuine mom and pop shop and have a great passion for their clients. They not only made the rental experience quick and easy, they were a joy to work with. We rented their almost new 2024 Entegra Odyssey 30Z class C. As a new rig, there were a few minor issues that came up. Moses was super helpful and got back to me via phone to help me thru the problems we did have. He was also nice enough to let me park my car in his yard while we were gone, and made the return check in process super easy. I wish I had discovered A Family Affair years ago. Well two days later, no phone call or notification the account was charged an additional $309.25. Questioning it we called and were given the run around about trailer rental and discounts. This doesn't sit well with me, after all we agreed on a price for the week and paid in full. We did not authorize the additional charge because we were unaware of it. They just decided let's make them pay a little more without even a phone call. Here we are today, we returned the equipment and were provided a receipt. There was a break down on the receipt with all the equipment rented totaling $949.62 (the agreed upon amount. Then there was a flat charge for the $309.25, yep you guessed it, no break down, nothing about trailer discounts or equipment rented, no explanation at all just a charge. With some argument they refunded part of the charge (not all) because they said the manager was out sick. Long story short, I do not recommend Rental Guys, they will just charge you more without a written break down or real explanation of why. Terrible way to do business.

U-haul Renters beware…read more Rented a truck for one day last week. When I received my receipt, mileage charged against me was twice the actual. I drove the truck from Woodland to Davis to Woodland equalling 11 miles one way (22 miles). When I received my email receipt my mileage charges were 40.00. When I called Beemers U-haul to state my concern, attending agent (owner?) was unpersuaded and was uninterested in making the adjustment. If that wasn't pathetic enough, same people charged me an additional $9 to top off the gas tank. Before returning the truck I had topped the tank with $10 of gas (to cover the 22 mile usage). That would equate to 5 gallons usage for 22 miles. Sad people. This pathetic fraud and deceipt will not break my bank. But I do believe in Karma and Google reviews and Yelp reviews. Lesson. Use a different U-haul.

Staff is very nice and we did bring it in just before Memorial Day so we knew we would probably have a wait. All we needed was generator oil change, checking the water pump and battery load, looking at the tires sensors, checking the roof and a wash.They said we needed new tape on top to keep the solar panels in place and couldn't find anything wrong with the pump. We got it back after three weeks and on the walk-through were actually told that the guys took all the old tape off and cleaned it up when they didn't even need to do that but they thought it was a water repellent issue which it wasn't. So who knows how much extra time went to that at $175 an hour or so. We also noticed later that we didn't get the tire valve caps back and I went to turn on the air conditioner unit in the 96° heat in downtown Saceamento and they had not turned the switch back on for that in the generator.That meant that after consulting with AI during a work event, I I was crawling under the RV in downtown Sacramento on the street to open the generator cover and flip the switch. The work overall cost $1100. Obviously, we did not think it was particularly affordable, convenient and we're not pleased with the handling of the relatively simple items on our list. There's another place not too far from us and a highly rated mobile technician as well that maybe we'll try next time. ARV business model involves multiple different technicians working on the van, which is why it takes so long, but in addition to the inconvenience we just got pretty mixed results on the work.

I'm very impressed with Terry's excellent customer service and Holt Ag's pricing. I grew up in NorCal on a farm, and after 20+ years, I recently decided to ease back into farming. I also have several friends who farm, so I did my research and checked prices from Kubota dealers all over central and NorCal. Holt Ag prices blew away all the Kubota competition! With Terry's outstanding customer service/responsiveness/information and Holt Ag's pricing, they both have earned my constant referrals and future business. The service manager basically told me that it is what it is and it's just not worth putting any more time into it. He gave me $1100 of the $4900 bill but it still burns me to get back making the same grinding and now additional noises that it didn't before. I may be in the market now for a new tractor but will not be purchasing from HOLT!! Honestly I feel that all of the labor cost should've been given back and just held to the parts since they couldn't do the job correctly.
