We contracted with this clown to provide a 5,000 gallon precast concrete vault to store irrigation water for the sprinkler system he was supposed to install in the front, side and back yards of our home, and after grading, provide decorative rock and paver walkways. He was supposed to start July 12, but didn't show until the 14th. He scraped about an 8 square foot area in the back and created a huge mound of rock and dirt in our front yard, then left leaving all of this and the skid steer he had rented from Big Sky rentals with it. After 10 days of no response to texts, emails or phone calls, I called Big Sky to determine if they had heard from him. They had not and informed me that he owed them a large amount of money, that they had been trying to find him and their skid steer. I told them where it was and they arrived within 30 minutes to pick it up. They did state they have to hound him for payment. I accused him of fraud via both text and email and magically he called and provided a bunch of lame excuses as to why nothing had been done on our job. He said he would be on site with our job every day from that day forward. Needless to say he did not. He also admitted he could not provide the vault he had promised. During this time we had checked with both local precast companies and only one had even heard of Jon Barker and that he was asking about a 2,000 gallon septic tank when they advised him they can't make a 5,000 gallon vault. He subcontracted the sprinklers and grading to someone else. During the install of the sprinklers I asked him why they were not grading 2" down next to the house to place decorative rock. I was then informed he was going to use wells and raise the level of the ground. For those of you who don't know what wells are, trust me, you don't want them, they are nasty. I told him that was never mentioned in his estimate/contract and that he would need to do the grading. He advised me he would have to charge me more. I informed him that would not happen. He contacted the sprinkler subcontractor and they abandoned the job half done. This was on August 3rd. The whole job was supposed to be completed August 9th. As of today, 8/24/2021, our attorney is trying to locate Mr. Barker in order to serve him with a demand letter, which (no doubt) will turn into court proceedings. We are also living with trenches all over the yards that we have to be careful of. As we are both in our 70's, that could be very dangerous. There are sprinkler hoses sticking up out of the trenches, it's just a mess. So please, if you actually want the work done by someone who actually has a contractor's license that did not expire in November 2020, find someone, anyone else to do the work. This guy will steal your money, lie to your face and not do the job he is contracted to do. Good luck!

He had promised to have it completed by July 3rd because we had guests coming over for the Fourth of July, but he didn't get it completed until the end of the following week, so we had to cancel our plans. We have Inadequate sprinkler coverage which has lead to dead grass, poor grading, he only planted 1 correct tree out of the 3 species I provided him a list for. He damaged a fence post which he replaced after getting the color wrong the first time, and then stated he cemented it in which it isn't. We are very happy that we found Andy for general projects at our house. We prefer working with Andy as he understands what we would like done, and he does it himself. We have already had him do fence work, build supporting walls, plant bushes, clear debris and pressure wash. He seeks our input on details and does not assume what our preferences are. He does research on products and prices such as sealer for our pavers. Also, if we need something that is of no use to others ( like chicken poop for fertilizer) he gets it for us. He also found a home other than the dump for some slate stones we were getting rid of. His is very fair in his pricing, and we would recommend him to anybody and hope he stays available for us.

When installing the irrigation, I told Clemente exactly where it needed to be, and he did it the way he wanted to do it anyway (zigzagged, and curvy going to individual plants instead of along the border where all the plants were going to go) and was upset when I saw what he'd done & told him it had to be taken out and run along the border as I had initially shown him. The broken sprinklers never got fixed, and there is still a big pile of mulch that we are going to have to spread ourselves. The 300+ feet of border that we had them do between the beds, and the grass is elevated and not flush as it was originally. I asked them not to cash the last check until the work was done, and we never heard from them again.

His crew left concrete splatter all over our fence and house. Asked him to get it off but never did. He charged $950.00 to roll out sod in our very small backyard. He was asked to transplant a boxwood but never did. During the job we did not hear from him for days then suddenly would show up with empty promises. My neighbor asked him to replace the rock he moved to do the cement work and he refused. She nicely stated that he had removed it and it was HIS job to replace it. He called her a "bitch"! He then said he was sick of my husband and me because we texted him when he did not show up and just wanted to know his schedule. VERY POOR COMMUNICATION. Then when my husband was not home he showed up and said that I was very beautiful and he'd like to see pictures of me 20 years ago. VERY INAPPROPRIATE. He claimed to me that he is the Governor's landscaper and had at one time be in charge of all the the High Tower community, DO NOT HIRE HIM.
