The housewares and toy room was very crowded with people. Wider aisles or move more stuff to third room may flow better. Room 3 had swim goggles, pool inflatable toys and some off season seasonal. The inventory changes a lot. You pay for stuff in first room. They take credit cards. No returns, refunds or exchanges. (15)

I had never heard of it, probably because I didn't have kids, but now that we are gearing up for all things baby- I'm on top of where to find the deals. This weekends show was at the St. fair in the Education building. Let me just say the building was FREEZING. It was really cold. There were people wearing blankets. For all of us in summer gear, it was miserably cold. I probably would have looked longer had it not been so cold. We went on the last day with some stuff being 50% off. You have to look at the tags carefully. Some of the stuff says. "no discount". Mind you it was the last day, so a lot was picked over, but there was still a huge amount of clothes left. It got daunting after awhile sifting through all the racks. I scored an adorable little Hawaiian outfit at 50% off. Shirt and shorts. The racks are hit and miss price wise and wear and tear wise. Some of the stuff is reasonable and some of the stuff looks a tad worn and over-priced. They have shows all through out the Twin Cities. Next week's is at the Washington County Fairgrounds. I signed up for the preview hour which means if you're a new mom, you can sign up to go a day early before the masses descend down and start sifting and thrifting. I like the concept of the Munchkin Market. Seems very well organized Check out lines can be long, but they move fairly fast. Toys Clothes Furniture Bikes Strollers Pl;ay yards etc..... lots of baby gear!!! I mainly went for the clothes. I don't mind buying gently worn clothes especially since babies grow out of them so fast.

I mainly went for the baby clothes, and found better deals than the local consignment stores, and it was nice to be able to actually pick things I liked, rather than buying a pre-made lot from craigslist. Some clothing was worn and overpriced, but most were decent deals and many things looked new. Sleepers, shirts, pants, etc for babies seemed to average $1-4 unless it was a designer label. Onesies I thought were generally overpriced since they are used and even new ones are pretty cheap. Lots of plastic toys available, if you're into that. The bouncer/exersaucer/swing stuff goes fast, so if you are looking for one, do that first and have a plan in mind. Highly recommend going to the Friday pre-sale if you can...it is much less crowded, shorter lines, and more to choose from. If you go on Saturday or Sunday, leave the kids at home, or bring a stroller and a friend, so one person can shop while the other stands in line, and you can trade off. If you go Friday, it's pretty laid back. Also recommend dressing for whatever the outdoor weather is, because the building will be the same temperature as outside.

I stopped by Travel Style to look at the bags in person and potentially make a purchase. I told both of the associates I would be traveling locally and regionally for work and needed luggage that could accommodate. They recommended a Briggs bag and briefcase that met my needs. After leaving to browse other bags, I returned to make the purchase, knowing I would be using this bag a lot for several years, so the quality and warranty made sense. Fast forward 3 months, after my luggage had been checked at the gate on all previous flights, I finally had the opportunity to carry my bag onto a flight with me. The bag would not fit in the overhead compartment. This happened again the following week, and I had to check my bag at the gate. Both flights were on Delta from Minneapolis to Nashville. It turns out, the bag I purchased was the International Wide Body luggage, which has a width of 15.5" and the maximum allowance on Delta, America, etc. is 14". I called Travel Style, explained the situation, and asked if I could exchange my luggage for one that would fit in the overhead compartment. I was beyond the 30 day warranty; however, the manager, DJ, offered to exchange my bag for one of the domestic Briggs bags. I traveled to San Antonio last week, and my bag fit perfectly in the overhead compartment. Travel Style carries fantastic brands for travel, and they take customer satisfaction very seriously. Allow yourself some time because the store is pretty big. I especially love coming here when I need a gift or something Minnesota-based as they always have unique, MN-feeling items that hit the mark. It's the kind of boutique where you can happily wander and browse for A WHILE. I haven't had much interaction with staff beyond checkout, and I've noticed they don't typically come out onto the floor--at least not during my last couple of Thursday visits during Marketfest. There are 3 parts to this store and you owe it to yourself to experience them all! I started in the style area, which is the clothing part of the store. This is an upscale women's apparel store, with habitat, Liverpool, Johnny Was, and many other upscale brands. All of it is beautifully curated and displayed. You will have fun browsing the racks. The sales associates were super helpful and knew exactly how to interact with people--making customers feel welcome, but not pressured to buy. Downstairs, there is an amazing sales area. Don't miss this gem! Bargains galore and beautiful things! I'm sure it changes regularly. Then stop at the cafe and have a coffee, pastry, or freshly baked cookie. All the treats look and smell delicious. The staff was very sweet and service was prompt. After that, continue shopping at the Good Things gift shop. It's an all kids clothing boutique and everything is incredibly unique and adorable. The owner is really friendly, great with kids (I had my 4 year old) and welcoming. The best part is the clothes are very reasonably priced. I will 100% be shopping here again.
