Andres did an amazing job painting our new home! We were trying to juggle a lot of different contractors during our move, and we asked him to paint the entire interior of our home (2900 sqft) between the time we closed, and our move in date (a very narrow 3 day window.) From the initial quote, through the finished job, he was always pleasant to deal with, courteous and professional. All Town Painting Inc. What an amazing job All Town Painting Inc. did in revitalizing our home in Davie, Florida with a complete makeover. As stunning as our home turned out it was unbelievably matched by the incredible personal service. We needed a contractor to assist us in preparing our home for sale. The last time we had any work done on the home was over 20 years ago. We knew we had an extensive project on our hands and dreaded the search of finding someone we could trust to not only prepare our home for sale, but to do it in a fairly tight time frame. We went to three sources to find a contractor: Home Advisor, Home Depot Pro and Angie's List. We also had a few references from friends. The renovation project included painting of the entire interior of the two level home, stripping of popcorn ceilings, installing laminate floors throughout the entire house, molding, replacement of all interior doors including closet doors, replacement of all toilets, refurbish all bathtubs and sinks, power washing patios and balconies, painting of rear patio. We interviewed a total of 9 contractors before we settled on 4 to submit proposals. After our thorough review we narrowed down our search to two. Then... Covid-9 hit: Everything came to a screeching halt. That's when the personal service of All Town Painting really started to shine. The president of All Town Painting, Inc., Ardres Marin... stayed in contact with us through those tough times. His priceless recommendations and suggestions regarding other details that we overlooked really made all the difference and took our ideas to the next level. Andres' expertise and resource pool of professionals relieved us of the burden of going through the process of sourcing plumbers, carpenters, and window specialists. When the city began to open back up to do business Andres and his team was ready to go. Not only did Andres deliver everything as promised and in a timely manner, he delivered on the windows being serviced replacing all the screens without replacing the frames to the screens. Replacing all the leaky water knobs throughout the home and the hot water tank faucet. But of all the work performed on the home, the one iconic feature that was a game changer and took the finished product over the top was a total rebuild of our stairs that consist of tearing down and replacing all 12 steps and installing beautiful white oak one piece laminated stairs. All cleaning service work was taken care of by All Town Painting. They gave the home a complete cleaning after the job was complete. All trash was hauled away, and all new appliances installed. We were very impressed with the complete All Town Painting's complete turn key service. All Town Painting took care of everything from picking up materials to returning anything not needed or defective. Avoid--substandard work product and deceptive pricing. For example, the dry wall replacement seams are visible (despite repeated efforts to remediate them) and staples instead of carpet tack strips were used to affix carpet to the floor. All Town's final invoice was priced 10% more than the agreed-upon price. Andres, All Town's principal, is neither competent professionally nor trustworthy. read more

I initially hired Andres since he was on the Pro Referral list from Home Depot (later found out that Home Depot doesn't vet folks on this site). He initially impressed me by coming out on a Sunday to do the estimate; he quickly organized to get the quote together after doing a walk-through with me at my home. During the first walkthrough I showed him all aspects of the 'patch' portion of the 'paint and patch' job. The estimate stated: * Interior Painting Of Walls * Interior painting Of Baseboards * Pressure Clean Garage, Replace Kitchen Wood And Other Repairs * All materials The 'other repairs' was to encompass all the things I showed him including the bathroom grout , the window sills that needed sanding and repainting, the corks in the drain, a gap in the stairwell etc. I was VERY transparent about all that needed to be done and he nodded and said yes to it all. I suggested line items to call out all we discussed and he told me 'don't worry about it' and so it started. Once the job started it seemed as if I needed to reinforce items that we had discussed during the walk-through to remind him to finish those jobs and to do all the things that we had already discussed. So, I had to do a lot of close auditing and advise him that something either had not been done properly or had not been done at all per our discussion. It reached the point where I had to put post-its on all the areas I found that were deficient. Initially at the job's start he also had to support staff so three men were in the house. However, once the job was complete and final installment payment processed, I discovered poor workmanship that was only discoverable after the final walkthrough. For example, though, for example the sealing caulk in the bathroom had not been done properly the first time while he was on the job -very poor work I had to call out, he re-did yet it became shriveled and completely peeled off the tile. I notified Andres of this. Instead of agreeing to guarantee his job and returning to the property upon my request (I applied no pressure and even asked him to come by the next time he's in Broward county) he had the nerve to accuse me of not allowing the caulk to "cure" per his instructions. This is not accurate as no one even used the bathroom that he had caulked for several days and my home after was completely vacant for over a week thereafter. Some paint on the windowsill that he painted rubs off very easily. I was also hanging a towel on a towel bar in my bathroom on my finger lightly grazed against the wall; to my surprise this resulted in the paint coming off and revealing the paint colour underneath. For a 1400 square-foot home where about 1200 ft.² represents livable space this patch and paint job cost over $4000. The icing on the cake is that in part of his reply that he's not returning to patch anything, he claimed that he had done a lot of favors... FAVORS... that were not included in the invoice. There is nothing he did that we did not discuss on the walkthrough while he was nodding and saying sure I'll make sure I take care of that etc. etc. I would suggest anybody doing work with him use the line item approach so that every single piece of work that is going to be done is documented in writing on its own line item instead of a flat price or vague statements like "And Other Repairs" because if there is a conflict it seems that his memory will fade and things that were discussed will now be re-stated as favors that therefore do not require a higher level of service or any workmanship guarantees. Andres had also asked me what rating I'm going to give him and when I had initially communicated the rating which was going to be less than five, he told me not to bother because he only wants people to post five star ratings online. Also, he and his associate left the floors filthy and I had to ask for it to be vacuumed daily. They threw trash e.g. dust and scrapings without bags into my brand new recycle bin. It's all about the initial sale but not about service and follow through after payment has been collected. read more
