So I stupidly bought a 2009 Pontiac. After a year, the rear differential went out. The car sat broken down for months while I called around trying to find a used one. A different local dismantler who's name rhymes with Conanza kept telling me they had the one I needed, but never sent it to my mechanic and then made up crazy stories about why they hadn't every time I called. This went on for almost a month! It was extremely strange-- probably a laundering scheme and not a real business if you ask me since the situation was so bizarre, but who knows. Why continue saying you have the part, but never mail it?! Anyway, I was tired of them jerking me around, so I called H&M... I was so glad I did!! Greg saved the day... he hunted my part down and found it in L. A. There was one problem, though... I did not have all the money for the part right in that moment. Who has almost $1,000 lying around?! I had no idea it cost so much cuz the other wacky auto dismantler told me it was a lot cheaper-- another made up story. I'm a single mother-- a widow in fact, so I'm poor. I had all my money wrapped up in this broken car that I bought my daughter. Greg was gracious enough to promise to get the part if I put down a deposit. He then held the part for me for a bit until I could get the rest of the money together. He didn't have to do this and had he not; I'd be up shit's creek waiting around another year for another 2009 Pontiac to get into an accident, while still paying the car payment on my daughter's broken one! Anyway, if you need a part for any vehicle-- call them. They are incredibly kind, patient, and knowledgeable. I will no longer waste my time calling any other dismantler. Also, the part comes with a 90 day warranty just in case!! They even insisted on carrying the part out to put in my car for me and did the same when I brought the old one back for the core charge-- over a month later. Thanks, H&M!!

Their parts are in great shape and I've been told if it doesn't work or fit then they will honor a return. My truck has been upgraded or renovated multiple times thanks to this shop. One of the front counter guys could be a little nicer here but honestly that doesn't affect the overall deals and service they provide. My most recent purchase was a set of used headlights. My old ones were turning yellow and just really deteriorated. The new set I bought weren't brand new so my expectations were pretty low. But once I installed them I couldn't believe the upgrade they provided. I'll be posting a pic of the new ones once I'm done writing this.

This cost me a lot of time, money, and stress. After installing the first transmission, it failed almost immediately. I contacted the seller and was told to try another one, so I purchased a second transmission -- and to my disappointment, that one didn't work either. At this point, I had already paid for labor twice, lost valuable time, and still didn't have a working vehicle. Communication was not very helpful, and there was little accountability for the defective parts. I understand that used parts can sometimes have issues, but receiving two non-working transmissions in a row is unacceptable.
