We were extremely satisfied at first with our decking, but in the two years since we have had it has stained, and we have been told that we need to acid wash then re seal. Joe and his foreman, Gibby, did an EXCELLENT job on our patio deck!! We've been undergoing an extensive remodel for over a year and have dealt with some really frustrating contractors that didn't do things right the first time, didn't care about details, made choices on our remodel with asking us, etc. Not Joe and Gibby. They stuck close to me as I progressed through the stages of our backyard remodel and when it was time for them to come in and do their piece (resurfacing our entire back patio and deck), they were ready. Joe walked the floor multiple times with me, making sure he understood exactly what we were looking for, what concrete lines to fill, what color palette and texture we were looking for, etc. His quote was fairly priced, which was important to me as a lot of contractors are taking advantage during covid. Gibby took over on the first day the project was to start and made sure all the other new features of your backyard (pool surface and tile, landscape lighting, rocks, sliders to the house, patio pillars) were all protected so as not to ruin them. They took a week to grind down all the old cool deck, prep the other fresh concrete, fill in old lines and drainage holes I wanted eliminated with epoxy, strip old paint with pressure washers, etc. Joe came to the site a few times that week to make sure it all was going smoothly. Gibby was SUPER nice to work with...he always explained everything they were doing each day and asked questions when he wasn't sure about a choice that had to be made. He didn't take the liberty to make a decision by himself (a problem I ran into often with a general contractor I worked with). I really appreciated that he wanted the project to turn out how WE wanted it to look. When the project was completed, they put the rest of our landscaping back in place as if they hadn't been there. Again, this seems obvious, but it is not commonplace. I can't tell you how great the back patio deck looks with our new grey cool deck. It is amazing!! We just have a few little stucco patches and painting to do and it will all look perfect, thanks to Gibby and Joe! I can't in good faith give Joe a good review. We have hired him 3 times in 20 years and even though the first two resurfacing he did came out fine, the last one in 2017 didn't last 3 years. I called him in 2019 to repair a few areas where moisture had lifted. This year I called him in February to repair the same area. It is now May and he hasn't sent his crew out.
