This company was hired as a subcontractor through my general contractor for a painting job. Unfortunately, the work did not match what was paid for despite them receiving full compensation. I specifically paid for separate primer and paint, but the subcontractor only applied paint and did not use primer at all. This is a significant issue, as primer was part of the agreed scope and directly affects the quality and durability of the job as my whole home was VERY DARK CUSTOM COLORS. When this was brought to their attention, the subcontractor refused to reimburse any portion of the cost. There was no effort made to resolve the issue or take responsibility for using lower-quality materials than what was paid for. The owner of the company, Gary, outright admitted to omitting primer to save money and profit more from the job. The owner of the company was also very rude to me and my family in our home and told three different versions of his story, none of which were the truth about the work that was done in my home. While the job was completed, it was not completed as agreed, and the lack of accountability afterward was disappointing. Based on this experience, I would advise others to clearly document materials and confirm what is actually being used on-site before work begins. One positive note I will add is the painting crew did take great care in protecting my floors, fixtures, and furniture during the painting process. read more

Tyler and his team were fantastic! They had painted a neighbors house so we had the chance to see their quality work and how good it looked months later. So we booked them to do our house as well and they did not disappoint. Showed up on time. Professional but easy going. Communicated along the way so that we could comfortably co-exist for the day. Lol They took care in wrapping and protecting the surrounding area as well as cameras and misc stuff on and around the house. Cleaned up after and just left with a job well done. I would never use All Valley Painting again! Gary changed the price when they were done! The crew damaged my refrigerator, it never got repaired! Then Gary said he would swap me for a fridge he got from a client that was in perfect shape, so he would trade for mine either the dented door from his crew, but he never followed through! Crew left a huge mess with all the paper and tape. They also got paint from their shoes on my outdoor teak patio set, and my stained concrete, that I had to scrub off and touch up the stain! They only painted the interior but left a huge mess outside! By the end Gary was rude and basically tried to bully me into not bothering him again. Eventually he quit responding to me all together! I had All Valley Painting paint the exterior of my home and fences a few months ago, and I again had them back to paint the interior of my home last week. Gary came out both times to give me an estimate on the work that needed to be done. He was very professional and helped me choose paint colors. His quotes were very reasonable. This crew was amazing! We are very happy with the job they did. Our home looks great! And I had to laugh at the review that complained about him not wearing a mask. You want your house painted? or an argument about infection control/Covid?! So that review actually made me want to hire him more. I digress- Our HOA required us to all have all of our houses painted by the end of 2020. (In all fairness, they gave PLENTY of notice) but we naturally dreaded it because of how costly it is. We ended up using All Valley after receiving his flyer and we are SO glad we did. His price was the best quote out of the 4 or 5 we got. He warranty's the work, uses quality paint and even let us keep some extra. His crew was comprised of absolutely efficient and skilled workhorses and they were literally done in under 4 hours. I love that they do the dry brush technique for the prep and I was overall just pleased with how simple and swift the entire transaction was. This was a quality job for a great price with no fuss. Glen, a bit pushy but polite man, came out gave small-job estimate and then wrote it up for wrong side of house. Called Glen back, and he said to hand write corrections on contract then sign and email. Did so. Made arrangements with Gary, also polite, for appointment time. No problem, right? Not so fast mister. Wouldn't you know it, two painters - a Short Guy "the boss" and a Tall Guy "the helper", showed up in a corroded beat-up no-logo mini-truck at 6:59am - well before end of 8:00am HOA quiet time - to paint on appointment day. 1.) They had Glenn's first wrong contract in hand. Bad start since Short Guy got miffed about correction of job contract. After short delay, I found correct signed contract and ladders set up by 6:10am with their noise and then they had no screwdriver to open paint can. 2.) Short guy then proceeded to go through backyard into my finished painted walled side yard next to the other non-job side of the house and urinate into my painted walls and rock before starting to work. He didn't think I saw him go there since I had gone inside my house for a minute but I saw him through my side yard kitchen window. After he relieved his urinary bladder next to my air-conditioning unit, the Short guy told me how long job would take, 45 minutes - but they were done in just over 25 minutes. 3.) I had to have them re-paint the two front facing areas of house since the underlying wood showed through and the cracked wood wasn't fill painted, nor were flush areas painted to the wall. I supplied the paint for the job and it was very high-quality outdoor acrylic paint. However it was applied with a bare smooth roller in a very hurried fashion - not hand painted until the do-over after my inspection. 4.) There was no clean up of the paint droppings on my walkway, and none of the scraped paint skins left on the ground were picked up. 5.) At job completion, Short guy demanded to know how Glenn came up with my contract price after I handed him the contracted check. There was a small discount given to me due to my disability which I explained to Short guy. 6.) Short and Tall guys then used my front outdoor faucet to clean their painted hands and tools into my planted flower beds and then proceeded to dump paint bucket water into my front lawn. 7.) Before they left, Short Guy made sure he told me to NOT tell anyone in my neighborhood that I had gotten a small disability discount, but to say my price was $75 dollars higher. Two words: Never Again. I also can't believe these shoddy bumblers are on Angie's List. Please Heed: Not worth the money, not worth the poor work habits, not trustworthy, not worth calling again. They belong painting rocks or rusty signs in the middle of the southwestern desert somewhere, not in an upscale HOA neighborhood they genuinely disdain. If it weren't for my constant diligence and my correcting them, I would have had to call someone else at additional expense to fix their mistakes after they left. And now, I will also have to sanitize my rock and painted walls from the Short Guy's early morning human urination episode he sprayed near my outdoor air conditioning coil.......Ugh. read more
