I called, texted and messaged the owner at least 100 times and he READ my messages but never got back to me even though he GUARANTEED the work. He didn't respond UNTIL I requested a partial refund through Paypal and threatened to sue me rather than to come FIX his work. Now I have to pay $400 to have someone fix it and I'm LIVID!!! If you want crappy work that's not guaranteed like he says then don't work with this company.

I wanted new windows in the kitchen because the temperature was always six degrees cooler there…read morethan in the living room in the Winter. The new windows went in during the Fall, looked great, and Matt even helped re-hanging the blinds - but I had the same temperature difference in the Winter. I mentioned to Rick and Matt about the cold air still coming in around the Windows. They said that it wasn't the windows, that I needed insulation around the windows. The insulation company who just worked on my house said: "I've never heard of a window install that was not insulated around the new windows. That is 100% his responsibility when installing windows. That's Windows's 101. That's not a service we offer." Rick did draw a picture of where he thought the insulation was needed as it's an old house (1905?), but the insulation company (RetroFoam) dismissed it, repeating that it's an issue for the window installer. I now think they were talking about different things. Rick was talking about insulation in the walls, RetroFoam was talking about insulation in and around the window channels. Now that Retrofoam has finished their work, Rick will be out Tuesday to go over everything and see if there's anything I still need. "How many businesses are that supportive after a job is completed - especially months later?! Thank you, Rick!"

Next challenge is finding a crew that will do great work. Bearded Brothers is not only honest, but does phenomenal work. But even more, they find the wrongs and fix them. Randy and crew - Kevin, Shawn, Sean, Derrick - all were top notch. (I hope I spelled their names right!) They framed our addition, built the interior walls, fixed the plans from our less than stellar architect, took out load bearing walls and installed new LVLs. They removed 20 years worth of rotted wood around our entire house, rebuilt walls, replaced all our siding, trimmed every single thing outside. They corrected issues they found from other contractors that were working on our home at the same time. They were so careful with our property. Every day they cleaned up, they were so conscientious. This project ballooned as more issues were found. We are grateful that this amazing team was proactive and so helpful. 20, 30 years from now the work they did will still be holding up. Randy and crew genuinely cared that the job was done correctly, and they respected our budget. Further, they pushed back other jobs so that they could continue to get ours fixed. Mind you, the addition was supposed to be a pretty simple job. But once our walls were opened up, it was Pandora's Box. This crew went with it and made our home solid. These guys are old school cool. They work hard and pay attention to the details. It's all in the details. Hire them. You won't be disappointed.
