Cabinet installer came and there were 3 out of 14 cabinets broken. QC is non existent, Customer service seems nice, but does nothing!! Don't bother to order kitchen cabinets through Costco. If so you will be ordering through a 3rd party 'All Wood Cabinetry'. I don't usually waste my time posting a review for 'poor consumer experience' but I need to for this company so that the innocent may be protected. I placed an order for $7000 worth of cabinets. I called back the next morning after I ordered to change 1 measurement for 1 cabinet. They tell me that I need to cancel the whole order and reorder with the new measurement. This is a poor policy. What a pain in the neck. I asked the associate to cancel the order after making it clear to them that they needed to review their protocol on something so simple. My bank account was already showing a pending charge so those funds were no longer available to me. I was a little concerned so I called Costco to make sure that the pending charge would be dropped due to my cancellation. They assured me that it would drop. I did not want to reorder until it showed cleared in my account. In the meantime I did some research into other online cabinet companies and found one that I eventually ended up buying my cabinets from. After a couple of days I saw the pending charge from Costco drop so that my funds were available once again. I did not reorder from Costco. Instead I ordered from the company I had found through my research. I saved $1500 over the Costco cabinets and actually ended up with some rev-a-shelf organizers that I could not afford in my Costco order. A couple of days later I get an email confirmation that my cabinets ordered through Costco were being shipped. What The ... ! I immediately called All Wood Cabinets. They tell me that there is no record of cancellation but that Costco was showing that there was a pending cancellation order. I told them that I had called Costco after I had placed the cancellation order with them to make sure that there was no doubt that this order was cancelled. They hustled to make sure the shipper did not ship the order. Luckily they had not charged my bank account for the order again. Whew! A few days later I get an email confirmation that my Costco order was on it's way. WHAT THE ... ! I immediately call All Wood Cabinets again and they are closed so I leave a very long voice mail explaining the whole story again. The next morning I check my bank account and they have charged my card just a few $$ under $7000 for an order that I had cancelled nearly a week before. I have a voice mail from them that they called the shipper and asked them to send the shipment back. They have wasted so much of my time and energy over these stupid cabinets that I cancelled due to a simple request to change 1 measurement to 1 cabinet in an order that included 26 cabinets. They lost the sale because of that but then I had to suffer through a deficit in my bank account and bounced check fees, etc. etc. etc. To top it off, I finally sent an email threatening them legal action to get my account credited after nearly a week of no communication or sign of a credit. They emailed me back with a very brief thoughtless response that it takes 7 to 10 days to have the credit show up. Then I get an email shortly after that showing that the credit was ordered today Feb 5th. (the same day I sent the threatening email) making it clear in my mind that they had never ordered the credit until I sent the legal threat in my email. I think they would have just kept the money if I hadn't threatened them. Do yourself a favor and do not order cabinets through Costco. I like Costco but this 3rd party provider is trouble. I ordered a couple of additional cabinets for my kitchen in Haven Biscuit Glaze as well as the Pebble Gray cabinets for my laundry room and half bath. Ultimately, the company messed up a little bit - they have a tricky shopping cart checkout system with Costco and they shipped the wrong color. At the end of the day though, the company made it right and then some which is why I am writing this stellar review. Very good product, great ultimate service. Customer service is great until they get your money. Some of the cabinets came damaged so I followed their instructions on taking pictures and letting them know within 48 hours of delivery. They blamed it on the shipper and refused to do anything about it. In addition, one of the cabinets they sent was the wrong one and we received additional toe kicks that were not ours. They did replace the cabinet with the correct one but did not send the paperwork to have the incorrect items picked up. We sent them multiple messages to try to get them picked up with no response. Then suddenly FedEx shows up at the door to pick them up but can't because the company did not send the labels for them. After a couple of days of going back and forth with them, they finally send one label for two large items. This again will not work. Then they decide that they do not want the to kicks back and want me to haul them to the dump and pay to dump them. Now they are threatening to charge me for the cabinet and the toe kicks if I do not haul them over to FedEx and send them back to them. I still only have one label and that is not my responsibility. I plopped the label on the box with the toe kicks and had FedEx pick them up. If they want the cabinet, they are going to need to send the label. And I blocked them from being able to charge my card just in case. read more

This is the company that Costco uses for semi-custom cabinetry. Though they are cheaper than big box stores, their workmanship are of inferior quality. Specifically: I ordered just one cabinet 24"X30"X18". It came (apparently) well packed on a wood pallet. Regardless, the carrier managed to damage a rear corner which would be hidden by walls. That corner damage (about 2" long) caused 3 joints to come completely apart. What I learned when looking it over was that there was no glue used to make this cabinet! Material was 1/2" plywood, which is fine. Dado & lap joints were completely dry & attached only by 1" staples. Had this cabinet been assembled with glue and staples, it would have held together. Instead, it came to pieces & I had to repair it (with glue!), because Costco refused to honor their "no questions asked" return policy & another cabinet from the same company would have been of the same poor workmanship. I recommend you avoid this vendor. You can find better build quality and customer service elsewhere. read more

This company is unbelievable I do not recommend them at all. They sent a shipping company to deliver my cabinets who had no ability to get the cabinets off the truck. Instead of rectifying the situation by hiring another shipping company who had the ability to get the cabinets off the truck , they placed me on hold and pretended for three days to be doing something about it with no results. They placed all the blame on the shipping company and still did nothing to correct the situation. They would tell me they were going to get back to me and never did. It was also very difficult to get anyone to pick up the phone. I was very understanding and gave them three days to correct the situation before I canceled the cabinets all together because it was clear they were not going to do anything about it. By this time $12000 worth of cabinets had been sitting on a truck for days in the cold so who knows what condition they would be in. After asking for my money to be refunded and the cabinets to be returned they are making me wait for the cabinets to get back to their warehouse before I get my refund, who knows when that will be. They gave me no date to which these cabinets will be returned and I'm left with no money and no cabinets just waiting. You would think the minute I returned the cabinets my money would be refunded but nope Im still waiting and I've been told maybe over a week from now they'll release the shipping number to Costco so that Coscto can start the refund process which then takes another 3-5 days. So unprofessional and shady on their part to not first correct the issue and second for not being up front about it and refunding my money last week when I canceled them. It is now the end of the following week and I'm still waiting on my refund. I'm also very upset with Costco for recommending this company and not getting the company to refund my money once I had no choice but to cancel my order. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY !!! read more

I read the other review and I was really astonished. I have installed several kitchens, bathrooms, and living rooms with these cabinets. Never had one damaged cabinet as they are packed very well and the shipper did a great job dropping them off in my carport. Also the factory did a great job communicating with me on some special request. I see they now offer custom depths on some of the cabinets. The cabinets a 1/2 inch furniture grade plywood. The faces or skin is veneered birch. the doors are solid birch. The one review states they are not real wood. All cabinets are either made of furniture grade plywood, which very good. Or they are made of particle board which is cheap crap such as Ikea makes. No one makes the cabinets out of wood as they would warp nor be cost effective. I will post a photo of some wall cabinets I used as builts ins. The hardware that comes with these cabinets are top notch as well. Love the quiet close on the doors and drawers. My next project is going to be built in cabinets around my fire place. Nice thing is I installed them in one day. The trim is stock dimensions that come with this. If you cannot install wainscoting or similar crown moulding then don't buy the trim. They us a UV finish that is very good stuff. read more

The person we were trying to work with was totally incommunicado , acting as though he was inconvenienced, made us jump thru endless hoops with renderings, photographs exact dimensions and he still got it wrong. Thank goodness we found a local cabinet maker. After reading the reviews it looks like the workmanship is shoddy too. I just don't get it Costco? You are so tuned in to quality on most things. Run as fast as you can this company is not ready for prime time!!! Shame on Home Depot for using this vendor! They do not know the first thing about customer service!! Thought this was a good idea when I saw the advertisement in the store that said 5 to 10 days custom cabinets. Turned out to be three weeks & meanwhile my contractors were standing idle! Had to go back-and-forth with damage cabinets with late delays with trucking delays and the customer service specialist in the Home Depot I was working with was on vacation! All wood and look nice, feel sturdy except the drawer inside bases are only 1/4" plywood. Some held together with clear plastic spacers...not sure why they would compromise quality with feeble drawers? Tap on them and they wobble, kinda like IKEA furniture. Definitely can't put anything heavy in the drawers, like plates, pots or hand held appliances. Stick to cupboards with shelves or narrow drawer units when ordering these cabinets. read more

Disastrous! Five weeks into the process of trying to get cabinets from AllWood through Costco, I had to pull the plug and start over with a different supplier. First they baited me in with promise of 45% discount on what looks like a nice product. Only to find out that the product they were promoting and designing for had been discontinued and they had almost nothing left in stock. Then they switch me to a different, more expensive product with lower discount. At this point, I should have pulled the plug, but I gutted a kitchen and needed the cabinets fast ....the "ships in 5 - 10 business days" is a load of crap. After the second order, I get the message that cabinets are on back order and won't ship for 5 - 6 weeks. After escalating to both Costco and AllWood, they convince me to make a third order splitting out a few cabinet doors. Then comes the next round of cabinets on back order and I couldn't take the delays any more and had no confidence that the order would ever ship. During this process AllWood never answered their phones and rarely returned calls. Costco wasn't much better. It took me 6 phone calls to cancel the order. Brutal! read more

My experience with All Wood cabinets has been the most stressful, frustrating, disappointing experience I have ever had with an online order. We ordered 5 bathroom cabinets that made up our 84" vanity, and a custom depth linen cabinet. The first order was shipped to us, but when delivered we only received the linen cabinet which had finish issues, the vanity cabinets were missing. I had to spend countless hours on the phone with the shipping companies, Estes and North Park as well as Costco and All Wood to find out what happened with our vanity cabinets. To date I have no idea what happened with our cabinets. All Wood offered to remake the entire order so we had to wait another 3 weeks to receive our order, this time we got all pieces, however due to the very minimal packaging efforts every piece was damaged in some way, scuffs, scratches, chips in the finish, the drawer alignment was crooked, and every cabinet that had a door had a crack where the door hinge was due to over-tightening of the screws. I complained to All Wood and they offered to remake the cabinets a third time, since we had been without a master bathroom for 4 weeks at that point I agreed to have them remake with the explicit instructions that they need to be mindful of the issues with cracking the wood and adding additional packaging to protect the finish, they told me the cabinets would be auditing by a manager before shipment. Another three weeks rolls by and we got our third set of cabinets, this time they added a blue film to the front of the cabinets, however it wasn't enough to protect from the shipping process and again the cabinets have various cosmetic issues and again the doored cabinets are ALL cracked at the site of the door hinges, in addition the last two linen cabinets weren't even made at the correct depth, I paid over $200 just to have a custom depth cabinet and instead of 15" linen cabinet, I got two 20" linen cabinets, the quality control at All Wood is terrible. I called All Wood and they offered to remake the cabinets for a FOURTH time and this time crate the cabinets and add foam. Having NO confidence in All Wood sending decent cabinets I declined and requested a refund. Working with Costco's resolution team helped the process along, however I am still battling this issue since Costco has shorts me $179 for some reason on my refund. Do not buy cabinets from this company unless you want a huge headache. read more

So I've had my kitchen cabinets in my rental condo for three different tenants now, and the cabinets, drawers, panels, insides, outsides still look fantastic and look like new! Now I've had 6 people live with them and use them on a daily basis without any signs of degradation, so as far as I'm concerned, there might be some issues upfront (which again I was lucky to avoid considering I didn't open the boxes until well after 3 weeks after delivery) but from a quality standpoint, I could not be happier. Remember I did my due diligence and went to one of those areas in San Jose that are all lined with B and C rated shops from tile, doors, to cabinets. I looked firsthand at the Chinese cabinets and should have taken pictures to show the quality, or lack there of with their heavy used of triangle shaped plastic things that are used to not only align the cabinet, but to hold them together. If there's anything to take note of, from most of these posts, is to make sure you inspect and document any issues AS SOON as they arrive and it goes without saying, order them ahead of schedule so you're not in a predicament that you're project is delayed for the wait. That's something I will surely take into account when I order more for my primary home kitchen and bathroom remodel. I will as my current tenants to take a few pics and send them to me so I can show you the current like new condition. :) read more

Great quality construction on the cabinets. No particle board! Good 1/2 cabinet grade plywood boxes. Very fast shipping, if you look at other semi custom cabinets you are looking at months! I think it was two weeks for delivery after ordering through Costco. I did have a problem with a cabinet that was ordered correctly but built wrong and they sent out the replacement in under a week. Also other reviews said after the 72 hours they will not help you in any way. That was not true as I work away from home for three weeks at a time and did not get to unpack the cabinets till I came home, weeks after the 72 hours. Customer service took great care of me still. Ordered these cabinets for an employee kitchen in an office. Heavily traveled and used by people who don't particularly take 'care' with their surroundings. They have worked out extremely well. The finish is lovely. The soft closers on the doors and drawers are fine. The products themselves arrived undamaged and were simple to install (we hired outside contractor for the installation--cabinets, like doors, are an art to install 'well') They did not complain. One piece, the microwave shelf, did arrive in a stain finish that did not appear to be identical to all the other cabinets (they were a dark cherry). We returned that piece and the manufacturer sent us another that blends perfectly. Probably just human error. Overall we are very satisfied and are using them again on a kitchen rehab in a separate property. This one will be a lot larger and more 'custom' so I will post again when it is complete. read more

Since obtaining these cabinets for our bathroom, we have had Lowes remodel our kitchen and have obtained Kraftmaid painted cabinets. The cabinets we got for our bathroom, wet bar, and linen cabinet from Costco were stained wood (langston cinnamon). There have been a number of quality control issues with the Kraftmaid which is really making me appreciate Allwood Cabinetry. As much as we had to deal with delays due to their shipper and did have to have some items replaced with Allwood, receiving replacement product from Kraftmaid is slower and we paid a lot more for the Kraftmaid. read more

Yeah, I don't know what the problem is with some other reviewers. I placed three separate orders to build my kitchen on an installment plan, and the finish matched on every order. I don't know why one reviewer claims two people couldn't lift the cabinets. I had to single handedly bring all the cabinets I ordered to reconstruct my kitchen, from the parking lot up to my 3rd floor condo, alone. I used a dolly. It was agonizingly hard work, but of course it would be agonizing for one man to haul over a thousand pounds of cabinets about 150 yards, through 4 door ways and an elevator. I single handedly installed all the cabinets, even the wall cabinets. I repeated this when I rebuilt my closet. Anyone with some common construction knowledge and basic problem solving skills can do this. I'm not a big strong guy, but I did this alone, and I fail to see how to people couldn't manage this as posted in another review. The negative: I'll be honest. The cabinet legs aren't really even. I had to shim the cabinets to get them level. They could have done better, but nothing I couldn't figure out a simple solution for (shims!). Some of my cabinets arrived scratched from shipping damage, but I was promptly shipped replacement cabinets. I'm about to order some more kitchen cabinets as I'm installing a breakfast bar right now. This will be my 5th order from them. The quality of these cabinets aren't perfect. Installing them takes work, but they're cheap cabinets. The material is solid plywood, not like IKEA cabinets which are hollow-ish particle board. These cabinets don't look like custom made solid wood cabinets, because they aren't. Our kitchen cabinet order from All Wood Cabinetry just arrived (May 22, 2019) and was in perfect condition. The cabinets were ordered through Costco on April 24, 2019. Before we ordered the cabinets, we looked at some of the reviews and there were a few that were not satisfactory, however, we placed our trust in Costco and their sub-relationships. From the very beginning after the order was placed, All Wood provided updates on the status of the order. Upon shipping we were given a means to track our shipment. We were expecting 4-6 weeks for delivery and they arrived in about 4 weeks. I normally do not write reviews but felt that with the excellent service we received it is warranted to highly recommend the All Wood/Costco program. read more

When doing a bathroom remodel, we purchased cheap Chinese-made semi-custom kitchen cabinets and the carpenter commented about the quality compared to American made cabinets. So when it was time to do the kitchen, I was willing to pay 20% more for higher quality construction and not having the risk of certain cabinets not being available with several months lead time. I picked All Wood Cabinetry. My first surprise was some of the trim was back-ordered, and our only options were to hold the entire order until it was available or pay additional shipping charges. There is a risk other items would become back-ordered so we had to eat the additional costs. I'm surprised they don't handle this situation better. Then the quality issues... The carpenter didn't believe these were American-made, so I inspected them. Seems the tolerances were no better than the cheap Chinese cabinets we already had (drawers are crooked even after adjustment, non-square cabinet frames that rock on the floor, 1/4" bow on face frames, etc). Then came the shipping issues... They decided to stack the shipment 3 cabinets high so that the pallet couldn't fit through our garage door. We got 2 pallets stacked 3 high, and 1 pallet stacked 1 high. Not expecting to have to unload things, I didn't have help available, and ended up breaking down the pallets by myself. All of the paneling arrived damaged. Our broker mentioned this wasn't unusual and he had seen extensive cabinet damage in the past as well. And the best part was that they forgot one of our cabinets. We reported it on 2/24, they didn't ship the cabinet until 3/1, and they used the cheapest possible shipping option so it didn't arrive until 3/9. Their concession was to pay a $100 granite labor surcharge charged due to the delay and comp a sink base liner that our dealer forgot to order. After everything was complete, we realized they forgot to screw down one of the lazy suzanne shelves to the metal spinning piece. They had drilled the holes, but there was no indication that they had actually attached it. Both shelf assemblies inside the cabinet had to be disassembled so that piece could be attached. At the end of they day, the kitchen looks awesome, but had I known how much inconvenience was involved, I would've looked else-wear. read more

Working with All Wood Cabinetry has been horrible. I bought these cabinets through Costco and it has been a terrible mistake. If they weren't up on the walls already I would return them all. Here are some of the issues I have had: 1. They sent the wrong size cabinet so one of them didn't fit. 2. When I called and asked about it they said it was their error but that I would need to purchase a new one and then once I shipped the other back they would refund my money. 3. The designer Jessica, who I had called about it was so rude during the whole process, and I asked if that was the kind of customer service I would expect and she said "I'm not the customer service department!" 4. She transferred me to their answering machine, which I left a message. Never got a call back. 5. Tried back two days later and they agreed to send me a new one and that they would get me a return shipping label. 6. I sent it back and now two weeks later I still have no cabinet! They say it's stuck in shipping! 7. There are literally no installation instructions. They send all of the cabinets and trim and nothing else! No how-to, tips or anything on what to do with the trim. 8. It's not real wood! It's all plywood with a thin layer of mdf white cover on it. It should be called All Plywood Cabinetry. After more than a month after purchasing the cabinets I am still waiting for the last one to get here and still have no 36" cabinet to hold all of my kitchen plates. I'm super disappointed with them and will never buy from them again! I'm surprised Costco is even connected with this company. read more

Very poor customer service from day 1. Hard to believe that they have any connection at all to Costco. While I am a huge Costco fan, this service is an epic fail. No emails replied to, talk to reps who have no idea what's going on, promise a layout but do not deliver. One voice message reply: hang up and call back and another designer will assist you. HUH? It's total mayhem over there. The arrogance and poor service is just one of the reasons I'll spend my money elsewhere. Costco needs to reconsider their relationship with this vendor. Do not buy cabinets from this company! My cabinets arrived and were the wrong finish. When I called and asked to speak to a manager, I was put on hold and no one ever came no the line. Because my kitchen was already demolished, we decided to live with the wrong finish (cherry instead of coffee). Once the cabinets were installed and the sunshine hit them, we were appalled at the finish quality. There were at least 4 different shades of stain ranging from a light pinkish to a dark reddish. They are completely unacceptable quality and the company is telling me it's not their problem. Some of the pieces were so poorly constructed it is a joke. The end cuts of wood were never finished but stain was applied over the unfinished ends. I can't begin to tell you how poorly finished their products are. Save yourself a lot of heartache and go somewhere else. read more

The cabinets are probably worthy of 5 stars but the customer service is the worst I have ever dealt with. I bought thousands of dollars worth of cabinets and door fronts, I ordered the wrong size door fronts for two of the doors....yes, I ordered wrong. When I called I was told they do not refund or return items so I was forced to purchase two new doors. I received the new doors and guess what they sent the wrong size, my builder was able to rework the project and made the new ones work. I called to ask since it was there mistake would they take back the original purchase, I spoke to two people, Ireene and Miraha, who told me no they would not take the items back. Not only would they not take back the doors they refused to transfer me to a supervisor and refused to tell me who the owner/CEO was or where the company was located. Such a shame because the product is worth the money but I would never order from them again and this was a bathroom remodel, funny I am doing the kitchen next....not buying their product! Also, funny thing I am going through Bartow next week....wonder how far off my original scheduled trip their shop will be from me? Might just have to stop by!!! read more

I'm a huge Costco fan but boy was I disappointed. I submitted all my information via online with drawings and pictures. A few days later I received an email from Dan asking when was a good time to review my order. I gave him a few options and we set a time but he never called the day of. I tried calling him without any answer. We played telephone tag a few times, and I tried contacting him a few days later without any responses. I stopped calling and I still haven't heard back. Allwoodfast/Costco cabinet quality is pretty good, not super high end though but the price is a lot more competitive than even the big box stores and they're definitely worth it. Costco came in $4.7k whereas our other quotes were $7.5k (local store) and $10k (Lowe's) for similar cabinets (plywood, softclose, etc). The cabinet fronts are MDF or hardwood depending on the color you go for. The soft close drawers offer some resistance to the first 3 inches or so of opening but I am getting used to it quickly (originally I was disappointed but it's fine now). The boxes are pretty square and true which made installation relatively straightforward (we installed ourselves). We did have to do some power sanding on the top to even them up for the counter install (which required level to 1/8") but maybe that would have been correctable with better shimming? The quartz countertop installers didn't seem to have an issue with the levelness though. I would definitely go with them again for the cost savings and they definitely look good. I didn't end up using a lot of the scribe moulding or the "Wood Furniture Shelf" so think about if you really need them. You can always pick up molding at Home Depot or Lowes later once installed or order from AllWoodFast since shipping is included. Might save a few bucks. read more

I ordered a set of semi-custom kitchen cabinets from this vendor through Home Depot where they go under "Home Decorators Collection". The design and ordering process was excellent - hence the 2 stars (although it might be Home Depot that handles it). The designer I worked with was very friendly and helpful and did a great job all around. Order was delivered promptly. I also have to say that those cabinets that arrived undamaged and without defects looked amazing. Very nice design and color, cabinetry made with quality plywood. Great hardware too - soft close hinges, overlays, handles. I would've loved to have this kitchen in my house. Unfortunately, packaging was obviously inadequate and some of the cabinets came badly damaged - with huge cracks. Others were just poorly constructed - just bad quality, shoddy workmanship. Gaps in side panel joints, cracks around edges, glue stains visible around inlays on the face panels - i don't know how did it pass quality control. As I already said before - would've been a great kitchen if it arrived as expected. read more

Worst cabinets ever. Purchased through Home Depot's "Home Decorators Collection" and will NEVER do that again. They failed to deliver a new, unblemished, unmarred product FIVE times. Their replacements were just as defective as their initial try. To get any replacements required fully documenting the damage, communicating trough slow and offensive representatives, and then finally getting Home Depot to force them to respond. Their packaging and shipping methods damaged the doors and drawers and cabinet boxes. I was told I had "too high of a standard" and that all of the imperfections and damage was "industry standard". This company put my project and business (General Contracting - residential custom home building and remodeling) under a huge delay. I finally settled with good enough which meant I had to fix and replace their cabinetry, foregoing details I paid for and being left with cabinets that have patches and blemishes. I ordered three 36" wide pre-assembled wall cabinets. Four years ago I purchased All Wood Cabinetry for a whole kitchen and was pleased with the quality of the cabinets and with the 30% discount off of the list price. When I placed a new order....No discount off the list price...even for Costco members. Nada. Nunca. Nothing. The three wall cabinets were $1745 including shipping. Today when I tried to install the cabinets, they wouldn't line up or sit flat on the wall. I took the cabinets off the wall and measured the diagonal dimensions. Sure enough, two of the three cabinets were racked, One diagonal is 1/2" longer than the second diagonal. This problem exists for two of the three cabinets. I would return them but I don't want to tell my client that their project will finish 2 weeks late. Quality control is down and prices are way up. AWC is the 7-11 of cabinet vendors; only worth the trouble and high price if you cannot wait for a quality product read more
